Hello All, Not sure if you have been able to avoid the news frenzy but the Napa/Sonoma fires are no joke. Keep all of those who have lost everything in your thoughts/prayers as they certainly need the support. To answer the questions, yes i am in the "red zone" but far enough away that it shoulf be okay. I have had friends, coworkers, etc. lose their homes thus far. I hope to not have to help my really good friend evacuate but preparing to lend a hand this weekend if called upon.

Haven't been on in awhile, lifes been crazy to say the least. Thanks to Harvey we had the worst flood since 1913 with most of the homes in my area severely damaged or destroyed (including mine). Still trying to recover from this mess and it will be quite some time before we a have a regular home again. We're alive and nothing irreplaceable was lost, both of which we are very thankful for. Just wanted to stop in and say Howdy to let everyone know I'm still alive and that I haven't forgotten about this place.

Well Just added another tractor to the fleet. Just picked up a 2009 Bobcat CT 450 B 49 hp tractor, way too good of a deal to pass on. I have both of my Kubota tractors for sale the dealer gave me a super cash deal on the tractor but wouldn't give me anything for my Kubota's on trade for it. Talked to the original owner who bought it brand new and traded it in on a brand new bigger series Kubota, he had nothing but praise to say about it. He runs a large land scapeing business and said it had been well maintained and i did some research on his business and found he has a full time mechanic who is super anal which shows in this unit. No issues except for a bearing in the fr…

Hey guys I figured I'd post this here and see if anyone had some thoughts. I bought a Gehl 5640 skid steer with the BF4M2011 turbo diesel engine. When I start it, it idles perfectly smooth for 2-3 seconds then begins to surge. As I rev it up when cold it still surges until the rpms are over half throttle. After 20min or so of running when the engine is up to temp the engine surge goes away at all rpms. So far I've checked all of the fuel lines and replaced the lift pump. Does this sound like a governor issue? Shutdown solenoid? Fuel pressure? Springs on the throttle cable or rack?

i have a habit of sleeping in a power recliner... which is great except when the power goes out. The built in (2) 9v transistor radio batteries really don't cut it... so I sliced in (2) 6 in series AA battery holders which is better. The motor is rated 30 volts so I decided to up the power by swappng the 6 series for 8 series AA battery holders (24vdc). I needed 2, so I ordered 3. I swapped my nearly new AA cells in & added new to make my 8 cells in each. Glad I was working on my desk. One of the holders shorted ONE AA cell. The coil spring on the negative was off center & somehow got in contact with the cell case which is positive. Dead short! So the cell…

Yep, I'm driving the wrong direction... but the wife has never been to the coast. I haven't been to the ocean since i was 9 or 10. We're going to stay in Lincoln city and do that tourist thing. Go see the ocean, historical places, aquarium, yada yada. I need a break from things and the wife wants sights to see. So with that being said, i need to ensure im not going to get ourselves in the wrong place. She wants to cut through Portland for the infamous voodoo donuts, but i don't wanna have to smash anybody's faces in. A bit concerned about people and their retaliatory viewpoints on the kind of person i carry myself as being i live in Idaho. …

Well, today is my final day of active duty military. Served my 6 years as AMMO and getting out to go to school and persue a career in IP Security. As my parting gift, my flight made me this, 105MM shell that I hope @Mopar1973Man doesn't get mad at me for or trademarks. I've always been known to go to work from 7-3 go straight to the auto shop from 3-8, never taking a lunch break to work on the truck. I.Y.A.A.Y.A.S

Ever had those days where life seems to be against you? That was my yesterday when I managed to rear end my own car! Thankfully, no major damage was done since the truck rolled forward 15 feet, but on the other hand... Like seriously??

Yeap... That's a Trailway Bus. A local gent bought the bus and slowly converting the bus over to a RV. He has a trip to do tomorrow so he really wanted to get the A/C recharged. It only took about 25 to 26 pounds of R134a to recharge it. The sad part was it was slow to take in the freon only about 2.5 hours to charge it up. Seems I get all the good one to do right?

Well Houston has gotten record flooding once again. To the southwest they've had major damage from the Cat 4 hurricane last weekend. It's stalled out as a tropical storm, and supposed to keep dumping rain for the rest of the week. I live 50 miles north of Houston, and we've got about 14"-15" inches of rain in 48 hours. Creeks are out of their bank, and we got the cows closed off in the high pasture. I know forum member, "The_Hammer" has posted before about getting flooded out, and wouldn't doubt if he's flooded again. He's from the Wharton area, which is southwest of Houston.

I'd bet even Idaho is cooler today. Satilite picture shows a big push of marine air. We've needed this for at least a week as it's been very hot in Oregon too with smoke and humidity way up. Tough to sleep/work in that. This Sunday's coming rain will mark 57 days without rain is about average but I'm hoping it helps put out the fires burning all over the west.

Dear John, I hope you can help me. The other day, I set off for work, leaving my husband in the house watching TV. My car stalled, & then it broke down about a mile down the road, & I had to walk back to get my husbands help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter! I am 32, my husband is 34 & the neighbor's daughter is 19. We have been married for 10 years. When I confronted him he admitted they have been having an affair for the past 6 months. He won't go to counseling, & I am a wreck & need advice urgently. Can you please help? Sincerely, Sheila Dear Sheila, A car sta…

Where in at at least in my locale, we are in an extreme fire danger. It's not the first time this has happened. But things are different for me now. Now I've got a home and property to try and protect. I've recently acquired an ibc tote and 2 inch trash pump that ill be using to feed my bees sugar syrup. But I've scheming up a plan for fire prevention and suppression. I'm working on creating my defensible spaces but i also need to get the suppression plan in place. While i realize there's no excuse for the big guns, strategy and tactics cone into play and can be effective also. At a local farm and feed store they sell a beginners kit that has a h…

Yes, gang its true.. I've started another business. This business is "Prevail Web Management ". Being I've been helping so many people with web sites I figured it's time to put into a business frame and keep moving forward. The site isn't much. What is more so is a central location for all my support tickets and request for help. Instead of the chasing around all the different site and Admin forum looking for help request or questions. After all these years of working with Linux, HTML, PHP, MySQL and all the different web applications I think I can make something happen.
