  1. I'm think turbo cap for pressurizing the intake and air system for testing. Not a blowby test because blowby test you can pass with a cracked piston but would fail if a compression test was done.
  2. I made mine from just plumbing parts at the hardware store. Drilled a hole and installed a air chuck.
  3. Should of done a blue top steering box. Yeah I've had a few issues but Ryan took care of me promptly. He also took the time to verify what was going on with the box and steering. @Blue-Top Steering
  4. Tach signal is dropping out and ECM is in limp mode trying to keep it running. Might try the new sensor. While the sensor is out you might want to check the tone wheel inside to see if it loose on the crank. I've seen one case here on the website where the tone wheel got loose and was tore off the crank.
  5. Both Beast and Thor are KYB currently. Last batch of shocks was Rancho shocks. Lasted a good 150k miles.
  6. Oh fuel pressure during cranking should be 7 to 12 PSI max. Anything over 12 PSI will cause over advancement and not start hence why there is a relay mod to hold the lift pump off till started for the troublesome cases.
  7. I'm using my stock HX35W turbo against my +150 HP injectors (7 x0.010 popped at 320 bar). Towed my RV and ATV in the back roughly 17,500 pounds total weight. No EGTs issues. Gearing is extremely important. I'm 3.55 gears but with 245/75 R16 tires I'm 3.69 final to the ground so EGTs are rarely even an issue.
  8. Remember the DemonRats want all the teenagers to have 15 dollar an hour burger flipper. What do you think prices of the burger is going to be?
  9. You could jump the fuel pump relay to supply power to the VP44. Hard to tell really some just seems to ooze and others will spray the hood.
  10. Yup everything is going up in price. Heck you can't get a hambuger in Riggins ID for less than 13 bucks.
  11. Dude that's better than Mono Village. Nice place. You need to look up a few members in Florida and see if you can meet some of the gang.
  12. Nope. I had to be over 55 PSI on boost, then my drive pressure was thru the roof which made the cylinder pressures high enough to blow my fuel system out (greater than 4,500 psi) which was enough to blow the gasket. I was also running high timing too. That gasket blew with ARP 425 studs torqued to 125 ft/lbs. Second failed gasket was a defective gasket (Cummins OE) and it blew out sitting in the parking lot and started pissing coolant and not even running. Gasket material let go of the metal base in several place. Now in all back together and torqued to 135 ft/lbs now. No issues towing all the way to Cally and back home to Idaho. That was with head winds and constant boost at 30 PSI and cruise set at either 55 or 60 MPH. 1,100°F EGTs for miles.
  13. Too much fuel pressure at cranking will over advance the timing making nearly impossible to start. Double check the light is coming on instantly with the key. If the wait to start light isn't coming on it will not start because the fuel pump relay will not power up the VP44 nor any other ECM device till that wait to start lights up. Without the ECM booted up it is dead. It will crank but not start.
  14. Yup. Why I normal don't use any sealants where gaskets or seals were installed with silicone. The only place I know where silicone is used on the entire truck... Front and rear differential covers Transfer case halves. Gear case cover. Those places I use grey RTV. No issues I'm at 444k miles and no leaks currently maybe the oil pan gasket.
  15. Good turbo for 150Hp injectors would be 62/68/12 but 64/64/12 (assuming on the 12cm housing) might not work very good. Even my hybrid turbo was a 60/60/12 and it spooled to 53 to 57 PSI but the 12cm housing was killing the drive pressure why my head gasket blew.
  16. I've got no problem with being different and wild. I see it this way tattoo's are permanent, piercings rather painful, etc. Again I can change a hair as quick as changing hats. I can go back to work and I don't have to keep it. Oh trust me ive got fun plans for that wig yet.
  17. I'm safely home and in one piece. This closes out this thread more or less. Idaho was quite different to come home to. All the fields south of Council ID are bright green and like emerald carpet. Certain comfort of rolling it to your home area and just knowing your home. TNow the weekend task of unpacking and getting ready for the work week. I've got ton of phone calls and now gotta get my work plan started for the week.
  18. Well my first leg in Oregon without wind oh my Gawd. EGTs are 400 degrees cooler. I'm now stating to see much better MPG. Trans is staying almost 40 degrees cooler. Wind is a huge factor. Back to travelling...
  19. Good morning all... My last leg home starts early being ive got a long day. I've got about 5 hours of travel left. Still got to restock food for home and also move back into the house today. @JAG1 called last night to let me he enjoyed the trip. Found out we both made good travel being he made the southern border to Oregon. It was a very enjoyable trip being with long time friends from the website. I hope others start to consider creating their own get together's in their local areas. There is some much to learn from other members. Im looking forward to doing this again.
  20. I'm on my way home since 8am PDT. It's been super windy. Bucking a head wind since I hit I80 east. Fastest I can safely travel is 55 to maybe 60 MPH. Bucking 30 to 40MPH win had 135 miles burned up 18.7 gallons. Ouch. Then fighting the transmission temps. Once I got on US95 and backed down everything was fine. Made from camp Annett's Mono Village to McDermitt, NV. I'm spent and camping in the casino lot tonight.
  21. 52 this year. I know what knee and hip problems are like. Ugh...
  22. So what for 16 to 25 buck I can have anything I want for hair. Poof! Blue and black. I've enjoyed messing with people's minds all on this trip.
  23. Have been all the trip. Gotta sport the Mopar blue and Cummins coal black. It been quite the conversation on the trip. Just my wild side coming out. @IBMobile filling up with diesel fuel.
  24. Group photo with trucks... Left to right - @JAG1, @IBMobile, myself Reverse order here.
