  1. ... Very stupid...
  2. Never does prove anything... :rolleyes:There is a secret to tug-o-wars between truck the truck with the higher stance will typically win because as the shorten stance truck starts to pull he will be pulled upwards loosing traction as the weight of the smaller stance truck is pull down on the taller giving traction. After that torque takes over and you get the above video. The difference in stance can be as small as a few inches and still make huge difference.
  3. All I can say is that's one messed up deer... Good thing the gene pool got a bit of chlorine there...
  4. Ah...I've got a wonderful Kenwood deck in my truck but the rollers for the CD eject tend to get dusty at time and then quit ejecting the disc. So what I do is typically try ejecting to see if I can see the edge of the disc and either grab it will needle nose pilers or another disc and lightly press downward to aid the roller. Now to clean this mess up is fairly easy. Take a old CD (damaged one) and wrap a single layer of a tee shirt or thin cloth over the disc now moisten the cloth with rubbing alcohol and the lightly insert the disc to the player allowing the roller to try and grab the disc covered cloth. Don't let the disc to be sucked in. But get the rollers cleaned up so they can push / pull the disc. So check you cloth for dirt and keep going to clean. Now you should have a working eject.
  5. 42 here... I figure by the time I make 500K on the clock it will be time for a new truck. (208K now).
  6. Well the old boy I'm talking about is living on the original homestead land from 1890's. Still no power on the property. Rex Baker still goes out every single day and takes care of his cows riding a ATV up to 30-40 miles tending cows. His Mom is still alive at the age of 90 (I think) and she still going not as good as Rex but still going.Baker Ranch and Rex Baker standing to the right. I guess us Idahoian's tend to better care of ourselves...
  7. Well between way late valve timing (loose valve lash), late ignition timing (mis-adjusted), and air in the fuel (longer to pop pressure) you could have some seriously wacky things go on.
  8. Out here its the way the F&G is setup. They let all the bow hunter out to stir the pot. Then cut the rifle hunter out after the bow hunter done spoked then all. Also during all this only open a few units for a couple days and have everyone cram into the few open units and move like wave of locust from unit to unit as the open and close. I gave up years ago... Cheaper to go to the store and buy it cut and wrapped. As for deer and animals they know what's going to happen with the weather. They move down out of the bad weather areas well before the storm comes. The old tymers up here tell you the same thing if you want to know what the weather is going to do just watch the deer and cows. They will travel up hill on clear warm days but come a storm either rain or snow they will be heading down hill before the storm get there.
  9. Drive till the wheel fall off. I think the truck might out last you though.
  10. ISX is correct. So you would build a ECT fooler but with IAT plugs and the change the resistor to the value you selected. So then you leave the switch normal IAT for start but once the engine is started and ran for a short period you can flip on the fooler. Now If you happen to attempt to start the truck with the fooler enabled then you will not get grid heater. Even if you turn the key off and the fooler off it will still hang on the previous value for quit a bit.
  11. Also weather and snow packs tend to drive animals down towards valley floors in search of food and shelter. Like here as the snow falls the deer move in looking for left over apples, exposed grass, etc. They sure can't walk around in 1-2 foot snow very well and dig up food with tiny hoof.
  12. Suggestion on calibration is to use the very same fuel station, the same fuel pump, in the same direction. Then don't top off allow the pump to stop on its own both times. This will remove a bunch of errors out of the calibration process.
  13. Ok did you bump the starter or just turn the key on? Bump the starter and you should get battery voltage at the leads for 20-25 seconds. Now also are you probing both pins of the stock plug? Try probing only the yellow/white and body ground to verify the ground lead is bad or not. If the body ground is better then the ground lead is bad.
  14. Even if you buy a new ECM the truck has to towed to the dealer to have it flashed. Even if you got a used ECM off another truck you still have drag the truck down to the dealer swap the ECM there and have it flashed. This is to make sure the proper software is on the ECM. I've heard stories of people getting away with just mounting on a used ECM but eventually need to be flashed because of other issues.
  15. No. That is well above the normal spectrum for sure. But I could twist it up and see what happens.
  16. How about asking yourself about the "Fast and the furious" Eric Holder what about this guy? This guy was caught selling gun to Mexico to stir up gun violence along the Mexico border. More or less the Gov't creates the problem then steps in and with Gun Laws say give up your guns and all will be fine. I'm sorry but Australia already is having problems with this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGaDAThOHhA
  17. For MPG's the average range of high point is 100-140*F IATFor high 6 cylinder you need 32*F in the manifold with grid heaters active. Like ISX got a video measuring his grid heater and it con produce 400-500*F easy. So reaching 32*F on a cold morning can be tough hence the fooler. Then 3 Cylinder is set at 15*F with grid heaters running. So it got to be really cold to reach this one.
  18. It to fool the ECM that the conditions are colder than typical and force the ECM to start the high idle software for faster warm up times.
  19. ECM is not booting up. So since the ECm is not booting up with software then the CCD network is down because the ECM is brain dead. There will not be any relay to click because there is no software to read sensors and turn on grid heaters or even tell the lift pump to come one. Then if you thing your going to start it... It won't because since there is no software it doesn't know how to fire the VP44 either. So your problem seems to stem from the ECM.
  20. This is one of the reason I start open carrying my gun with me. Like most criminals that have be interviewed they will not take on a target (store, person, etc) if other people are already carrying a weapons and are visible. Like you said these guys are looking for easy prey they go to schools because number 1. its a federal law that no one is allow to open carry or conceal carry on a school campus. So that means there is no resistance to the shooter he knows there is no other people with a gun to stop him. (Like a cop). Then since the average 911 response time nationwide is over 20-25 minutes you got lots of time to do something really stupid like killing people then shoot yourself. This is why I say everyone should be allow to carry since 99% of the public is unarmed the criminals know this so they prey on the weak and unarmed people.
  21. That's typically what I do is look for the hot brake parts by touch if the part is super hot trust me you won't have touch it you'll smell it for sure.
  22. Ok. Edited...
