  2. Now as for a average from what I see I would say most CR's make 200-250K and then fail. Don't get me wrong there are people that are up on the game and replace parts when they become damaged and do it promptly and get well up in the higher numbers for mileage.

Lower is better. If you go too high the IVS (Idle validation switch) will be toggled and the ECM will go from idle to throttling mode.   7. Can if you wish. But I typically suggest against it.But remember that synthetic will cost you more over the same period of time. Also remember that synthetic lubricant don't have any PPD (pour point depressants) so it will not aid in the pour point factor like petroleum oils that do have PPD package added.
  8. If you could do a compression test it would tell you a bit more of which holes are damaged.

  13. Suggestion get a used ECM and have it reflashed. As for protecting your investment you want to pull off you alternator and have it bench tested for AC noise output it should be less than 0.1 Volts AC.

  15. Here is USFS logic. Hey there is to much ground fuels. Let's have a prescribed burn. Opps! The fire got out of control and burn more than expected. (Tax dollars to pay for the fire fighters). Year or two later... Dang too much ground fuel again all the burnt trees are falling over. Let's have another prescribed burn. (over and over again).I keep getting told by the USFS that these burned areas are going for log sale. Yeah right! They never hauled a single tree out if any burned area ever!The other thing that gets me bent out of shape is the EPA cracking down on vehicle emissions but there is more emissions in one forest fire than the entire city of LA or NY could produce in one year.   18. I've been running 15w-40 Mobile year round with winter temps as low as -20*F or so. I run the very same oils the bigger diesel truck run. As for your extreme cold up there I would opt for a 0w or 5w for cold starting but I'm not a huge fan of synthetics oils.

So my question is any error codes present when this problem occurs.
