CAI in Summer VS Warm Air in Winter
Yeah mine jumps anothe 20-25*F on top of the 40*F offset... I've seen as high as like 160-170*F while jakin for manifold temps... But as soon as the Jake is off the temp falls again. I think this is due to more valve over lap... Now a tidbit change in the temp curve... Once the outside temp reaches 100*F out (105* in Riggins, ID last night) the offset is reduced to about +30*F. Only seen this once now... I'll watch at higher temp to confirm.

'01 24V with fuel pressure woes (go figure)
Hmmm... I wonder if it was from like a bulk storage tank, fuel can, etc... Somewhere you did'nt think would be?

Plugs in right here... But as for error codes not all of them will trip a check engine light or have the truck mis-behave. Because a lot of the faults will cause the truck to go to limp mode and the ECM fills in the bad information with something else. Sometimes limp mode is a compete dog and other times you'll never know... Mine just stays plugged in... www.scangauge.com- 92 Wheel Hubs?
Suggestion... A place to try is TH Racing 905-892-9524 (Canadian Vendor) You might call some of my vendors and see if they happen to have anything laying around a shop (if they have a shop - some do!) http://quad4x4.com/Dodge%201970-1993%20Front%20Axle%20and%20Steering.htm- 05 gto/ cant leave the gm section open, im a fan
Strange but do you you have a massive vacuum leak somewhere? It would cause the MAP sensor code and the misfire because of lean mixture... I had a simular problem with Mom's 96 and found the cruise control was full of holes (vacuum leak) and the leak was dumping in on top of cylinder #6 messing up the mixture and tripping P0306 (#6 Misfire)- No power on start up - couple minutes go by and its fine. 2001 3500
Well that what we are here for to help you the best way we know...- vp44 diagnostic tool on ebay
Not really... Just done hell of a lot of reading on forums and web sites to learn this much... As for actually making this box I personally dont think it would cost much to make but I'm not sure if there is electronics involved too. As for relocation you could do that now just extend the wiring now and move it... But for the failure rate being so low I don't think its really needed...- Show me your Frantz Toilet Paper Bypass Oil Filter Setup!
Micron rating is 1/2 micron for the Frantz... As for oil it sucks up a full quart... Yeap I change the filter I add 1 quart after...- '01 24V with fuel pressure woes (go figure)
I would of washed out the fuel tank seeing that crude... Ewww!- parking brake
You got the same problem I do and the adjustment is under the truck follow the cable down to the slack adjustment. Only use this to remove the lsack not to adjust the brake. ---------- Post added at 04:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:06 PM ---------- Something like this... http://www.tsmmfg.com/mico_hydraulic_brake_lock.htm There not cheap we got them on the fire trucks out here... The problem I don't like about them is if you forget to press the brake and toggle the switch then it doesn't set and the truck rolls off... (Yes I've had a close call with one... )- vp44 diagnostic tool on ebay
That cheater box feeds power to the Vp44 and toggle the high idle signal to the VP44... No error code reading... No diagnostics other to know the pump still works without the ECM and if so the ECM is cooked... So the box supplies power on pins 6 & 7... 7. +12 Volts 6. GROUND Then toggles fuel shut off on pin 5. (I'm going to assume 5V signal used) Then high idle and normal idle selecterd on pin4. (I'm going to assume 5V signal used) The datalink signals Pins 1 & 2 are not used... Fuel Sync Signal isn't used either on pin 8... So all the box does is allow you to start the truck toggle high idle and normal idle... Then be able to shut the engine down using the cutoff signal.- two cycle oil and?
Rwalker I give you a tidbit more... The Bosch fuel systems are a bit more touchy than EMA want to believe... Actually Bosch suggest <400 HFRR for fuel not the common <460 HFRR the EMA suggest... I'm also curious to the test results...- 4 way flasher problems
Might double check the grounds too... It might be feeding back though the headlight circuit trying to find ground... I'm going to have to build a thread on wiring and ground locations...- vp44 diagnostic tool on ebay
Ah the VP44 cheater box... I bet money if I had a bit of extra money and the socket I could build my own for MUCH less than $300...- Show me your Frantz Toilet Paper Bypass Oil Filter Setup!
Hmmm... I change 2-3 times between oil changes... So that's 3 quarts of make up oil added (10K mile at oil change)... So since I'm, down in a Wally World I pickup 4 gallons of the favorite oil and change as typically both filters... Thebn the 4th gallon is used for make up oil on filter changes... But you might want to talk to Dorkweed which hold the longest record for oil change at 84K miles with a Motorguard filter and was testing with Blackstone labs... The best part is he's using good ol' WalMart SuperTech Unverisal Engine oil and no problems for that span! Blackstone Labs gave him thumbs up everytime...- Guess I'm doing ok
Hmmm... 400 miles a year is rather very minial amount of mileage... I would at least drive it about 5K to 10K a year. Every 3K for a oil change is nearly a waste for these beast... Being the suggested oil change for normal use is 7.5K miles but being its sitting al ot you need to change it because of the water issue. As for myself I change oil every 10K miles... As for the VP44 they don't like to sit either as time goes on the rubber seal give up and pum becomes junk... So it might be a good idea to drive the Cummins a bit more... Aim for about 5K miles (13-14 miles a day) a year at least.- Show me your Frantz Toilet Paper Bypass Oil Filter Setup!

My 2 cent to the GM section is... My father retired from GM (Van Nuys, CA) for 30 years of work. So I got a bunch of the older books for like the 80's for diagnostics yet floating around. Great man but he past away in 2004 from cancer... (Rest in peace Dad!)- Holy Mackeral!!

From what I can find on that it delievers fuel to the rotor shaft and parts. It continues forward to the vane pump from there. But still the fuel pump in the rotor area got to return back...- Show me your Frantz Toilet Paper Bypass Oil Filter Setup!
