  1. Done all that for 12 years in a old 1972 Dodge Power Wagon without A/C!
  2. Now where are you going to mount it at??? Did you play with the hi/lo alarms??? and find the hi/lo history??? (Undocumented)
  3. Something to think about on the luggablity... How big is the flywheel and how heavy is it per each engine??? I think the fact amount of weight these engines are throwing around (cranks, flywheel, etc) tends to allow much lower RPM's under load... Like the old pic of the connecting rods... Cummins being the biggest and Ford being the smallest...
  4. Here is part of it... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/trans/trans.htm The P1765 was either the Trans Relay or a open/short condition for the TQ Conv... (Using a Mystery Switch?)
  5. Right on the money... 1. Start with double checking the hydraulics and re-bleeding them... 2. Then pull the trans and inspect if thats not working...
  6. Big O AT's - 235/85 R16 - Load Range E's These for size have been the best tire yet for highway use... Big O warranty is for the life of the tire... So if I had only 10% tread and stuff a tree limb in the side wall they replace the tire no questions asked. PERIOD! Been there done that... As for offroad tires... Cooper STT - 265/75 R16 - Load Range E's Great for offroad traction but expensive... Also a 2-3 MPG loss because of the extra weight...
  7. I know exactly... It goes from the dash stud to the heater core... It keeps the heater core from rotting out on you...
  8. Funny... You sit me down and test me on anything with pen and paper I will suffer period... But you let me explain it orally or show it to you in my own way... OMG! Worlds of difference... Its a apparent here...
  9. #2 Diesel Fuel + 128:1 Ratio 2 Cycle Oil...
  10. The Jacobs Brake from the Dodge Dealer is really simple to install... Like SASQCH happen to say that if you can turn a wrench you can install it (typically). As for activation and wiring might be different...
  11. So what was the compression test like for numbers? Reason why I ask is I got a 1983 Goldwing with the same issues and what had happen is a blew a head gasket. Well the shop milled the head true flat again but found out they over milled the heads now my compression is a bit to high and it overheats all the time now and the only way to see this is in compression test numbers...
  12. Wire to the VP44 is not hooked up... This is tapped...
  13. Typically they don't get wet under the hood... But if it does you'll know because the filter minder will be drawn down to the RED zone limit... As for my filter its 6 years old (120K miles) and I gotten it wet several different times without a problem. The secret is if you do get it really wet (during washing the engine bay) to allow it time to dry before starting the truck. But as for typical daily driving in heavy rains... Naw... It just fine...
  14. fuel pump relay is for the VP44 and that is what tripped the code so I would replace that relay soon...
  15. That's truely sad to hear... Sorry to hear you got the grand lemon in the pile... I've been digging all over the internet looking for service manuals for the VP44 or any Bosch fuel system pumps... I'm going to try contacting Bosch directly really soon...
  16. 1) just unscrew the fan clutch and remove the fan... (Left hand thread - 36mm wrench) 2) That's a heat exchanger for the trans fluid... (If I'm not mistaken)...
  17. Cooling System? - Thermostat, coolant, water pump, cap, pressure test, etc. Compression test? - Just do it and report the numbers... (Explain later)
  18. Wow! Sorry to hear about your wife losing her job...
  19. Side note... Miss corrected... Re-torqued my injector caps and problem solved...
  20. Any codes? As slow speeds usually the TQ Conv is unlocked... By chance do you have a bad Trans Relay in the PDC?
  21. Usually on the passenger side near the blower motor. I looked it up in my Mitchell 1 books but doesn't list a location... Sorry Russ!
  22. Thanks W&F I'll check that out...
  23. Yeah keep the pics coming!
  24. Personally I would of kept the governor... As for jets... I wonder if you got a vacuum leak instead that is messing with the mixture? Float level to low? Air Jets dirty or damaged?
