  1. Yeap it looks stock to me...
  2. Not uncommon to have the fuel gauge showe better than a half tank and run dry on you... Almost happen to me... My fuel pressure gauge bouncing around was the clue that I was starting to run out... So... [*]Put 10 gallons of fuel in the Tank [*]Reprime the system [*]Check your fuel pressure..
  3. Being the slope of the roof and everything but a cord is 4 X 4 X 8 = 128 Cubic feet... Each row is roughly 128 cubic feet as long as I get it stack to the top...
  4. Kind of hard to do when the US don't have any industry left... It all been moved to foreign countries... Give you an idea... Here is a large normal city like Denver Co. Now here is Detroit, MI... Now you can clearly see that Detriot is got a lot of vacant ground and all the big 3 auto builder are gone for the most part. I got a old high school friend living with his grandmother in Detroit and he calls me off and on and his comments is jobs are hard to find and pay very little...
  5. No pottery kiln... That is only half of my winter firewood... I burn right around 7-9 cords a season. The last pic of the wood shed that holds 12 cords to the last post or 15 cords at the roofs edge... Last winter I used 8 cords... The ATV has my 20 ton splitter hooked the the back so I got to do is back it into place and get busy... The pile now is a total of about 8 hours of work and 1 1/2 tanks of fuel on the splitter... Doing the math on the winter heating... It cost me about $35-40 a cord to get so say $40 times 8 equals $320 bucks for the whole winter... One year shortly after my Dad's death I took a short cut and used a electric heater in the guest house and it was right around $200 a month in electric to heat. (Now figure a main house at double square footage and nightly low at 0*F for a low) So wood is much cheaper in the long run... Neighbor is heating with propane at $2.49 and hes got to reload the tank twice a winter... Ekkk! Central what???
  6. Hmmm... Here in Idaho it like $1,000 dollar per gallon fine... So for a 35 gallon tank it would be at least $35,000 fine... Ugh!
  7. Well here is a few pics of the firewood pile I've been working on splitting... My somewhat empty wood shed... Each row is a cord...
  8. I'll test that out tomorrow I got a A/C job to do so when I run out I'll test both ways...
  9. Few things to look at... [*]Battery connections [*]Starter contacts [*]Solenoid fuse [*]Solenoid relay [*]Solenoid wiring [*]Starter brushes Here is a handy way to test for wiring issues... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/voltage-drop/voltage-drop.htm
  10. Not bad... We need to see pics of this wonder work of yours...
  11. Yes... P0380 or P0382... It can detect a open circuit... P0380 Intake Air Heater Relay #1 Control Circuit Problem detected in #1 air heater solenoid/relay circuit (not heater element) P0382 Intake Air Heater Relay #2 Control Circuit Problem detected in #2 air heater solenoid/relay circuit (not heater element) That why I disconnect the positive lead going to the grid heater supply...
  12. Problem is some has to create a better battery... Or... Produce a better fuel with more BTU's... So far everything anyone has done as far a alternate fuels (biofuels) has always produce a fuel that is 10-20% less BTU value requires more fuel to do the same distance or work. Then on top of it the price for these "Biofuels" happen to be higher than standard petroluem fuels... (Double loss)... There is lot of option out there for AC power but as for vehicle power well there isn't much options...
  13. Interesting... I might actually be a good idea for losing weight too.. (Empty calories)
  14. Ummm... ISX how about dispose of the lead acid batteries? How about the replace price of them? The batteries cost nearly as much as the car does... I figure the biofuel craze will come to close now...
  15. Yeap they go from tiny cute furniture eating monster to big oversize lazy dogs...
  16. Oh gawd... I shut my mouth now...
  17. Nice find! You should add that to the download library for other to find!
  18. Till you get to Idaho and the pull your fuel filter and the filter is stained red...
  19. I typically like to see above 14 at a idle... But 10 PSI is the minimum limit for WOT and is not very safe to be that low... Stay in the green...
  20. As you can see I tossed it right back... Actually mine get rather dusty really quick on the dash from all the dirt roads and firewood hauling... Just to make you feel better next time my truck is dirty I get you a pic of it...
  21. Black smoke is sign of lack of boost so is the wastegate stucking open? Exhaust leak in the manifold? Hmmm... IAT sensor? You might think off changing it out or if you can get ahold of a live data tool and see if it shows a normal temp of some sort...
  22. Well you all know I got the paypal here for the site and it takes care of the server cost, etc... I'm unverified at this time but don't plan on using the paypal for much than a few server bills...
  23. Hmmm... I buy 6-9 gallons of engine oil a year... and 3 gallons of 2 cycle oil every 6 months... Not too bad...
  24. Don't whine... Please... I'm the highest price state in the union... $3.25 to $3.35 a gallon...
