  1. Here is my friendly winter deer... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=143&stc=1&d=1262274881 I get these critter every winter camped out in my yard. They get so bold that they will walk right up to the house and eat the ivy right off the house. Never got to trim the ivy they do it for us every winter...
  2. Along with that don't leave you doors hanging open while you shutdown the engine the rattling action isn't good for it either... So far my doors are doing really well...
  3. This is simple to see... Now the truth is high the cetane the lower the BTU's so Bio having a natural high cetane index (mostly caused from the methanol). http://forum.mopar1973man.com/picture.php?albumid=3&pictureid=224 As cetane levels go up in the winter time here so does the BTU value go down hence why the MPG fall here about 2-3 MPG in the winter time. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/picture.php?albumid=3&pictureid=225 Point of reference is that Unleaded gasoline is roughly 125K BTU's (Boy high cetane fuel doesn't look good now does it???) Just for even more fun I found that racing unleaded fuel has a Gravity API of 50... http://www.osbornauto.com/racing/unleaded.htm
  4. Don't get over zealous with banjo bolt there is times where I've seen people break them in half... They are weak at the point of where the 4 holes are in the shank of the bolt.
  5. If you get the 150 series pump then yes you end up with the drawstraw setup... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/personal/2002/airdog-150/airdog-150.htm But even with the draw straw there is isses of sloshing. Most people complain about 1.4 tank of the fuel dropping to 0 PSI because the sucking air at the draw straw tip. But with the 100 series pumps you can hook to the stock pickup assembly. But there is issues with that too. I've find out from members here and other ofrums there is a air leak issue with that snap on connector. Some just clamp on to the plastic nipple and some have to modify the sender a bit to get tight seal.
  6. From what I know is that the CI-4 has a better adittive package over the CJ-4 which is lost some of the goodies that protect the engine. Here is the site that knows much more... http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/
  7. We got one of those in Cambridge, ID http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=139&stc=1&d=1262228503 http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=140&stc=1&d=1262228503

  12. Wow! That's nice to see that mother nature is still strong!
  13. There is ways around this problem... Sneaker series mufflers. Basically a straight pipe in a normal muffler can. I'm sure there is other toyz out there for the california crowd...
  14. I've got a mini weather tower here... (Electronic) It fairly good about reading humidity and temps but as for weather actions its way off... So I take the known data I see with weather tower (temp & humidity) and then watch the animals on the other side of the valley. If they are heading down you know a storm is coming. If there heading back up you know the weather is improving... Like right now I know the wather is going to be crappy... The deer are camping on my lawn every night now...
  15. Well with all diesel fuel it tends to have a certain amount of water so steel is going to be a issue if its not coated internally... Make sure you use a water separator and filter... Aluminum is plenty fine for fuel cells... Look at every semi truck hauling down the pavement they all have aluminum fuel tanks... If it was me I would take the aluminum tank...
  16. How long can our once great Republic take a licking and keep on ticking? http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=135&stc=1&d=1262197956 ORIGINAL CAPTION: The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it and noticed it wasn't sticking to envelopes. This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings: 1. The stamp is in perfect order. 2. There is nothing wrong with the glue. 3. People are spitting on the wrong side.
  17. OMG! :lmao2:just a couple of out there...
  18. Well I'l toss 2 cents in this pile... Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA But moved to New meadows, ID in 1990 I love living in a town of less than 1,000 people!
  19. No joke... Mine is heading towards 6 years of life and the filter minder still hasn't moved yet...
  20. Yeap same here... I think it might be a good idea to change oil in mine soon...
  21. Not exactly... Myself I would take the hod back attidute and hold and watch and see how good the lifespan of this ATF is. Kind of like you get what you pay for...
  22. Give you a clue... A trip from My place to Riggins, ID is 15 miles in distance. But the terrain is downhill. I lose 1,000 feet of elevation from my house to Riggins, ID so in the fact is it looks some what flat but your running down hill the whole time. Give you a idea... From New Meadows, ID proper to Whitebird, ID is all down hill... That is over 75 miles of road that is down hill. I've learn how to take advantange of this natural free fall... So if I started in New Meadows and went to Whitebird I could pull near 32-35 MPG on the SG II because of the downhill run clipping along at 60 MPH... But now reverse this and now driver skill kicks in. Now how do you climb the same hills now and keep the numbers from falling off as fast. Keeping them in the 20's...
  23. I got you beat... I still have all my Atari stuff but i was building machine langauge code when I was 14 yeard old. I advanced from Basic programming because it was too easy...:shocked2: I still got my orignal antique handset modem (300 Baud)
