  1. sometimes it will dribble back along the drain tube to the firewall and seep back pass the foam seal to the carpet inside.. The solution is to extend the tube down and away from the cab... ;)
  2. I agree with Russ... My straight pipe is rotting away in a rapid way... So if it rots away I'll be looking for a full 4" exhaust system next... :rolleyes
  3. Like myself I'm also running petroleum based lubes in everything and pulling 21-23 MPG which happens to be highier than most... So why waste the extra money on Synthetics when I'm beating most rigs that use it... LOL
  4. Hmm... Ford and chevy both got crankcase vents into the inlet of the turbo...I've seen another setup where the crankcase vent was plumbed into the exhaust stream and burnt off in the pyro heat...
  5. I would say the general public is just holding there own... But we are getting smarter than them. :smart It seem like I run rings around most people out here. I just had a vehicle that was broke down yesterday in New Meadows, ID I pulled up and walk over. Just looking at the amount of engine oil pouring out on the ground from the radiator cap my first reaction was "Your head gasket is blown!" :wow The owners reaction was "How much do that cost and can I drive it to Boise, ID to get it fix?" LOL Like I told them the farthest that vehicle will go is from the median to the next side street about 100 feet...
  6. I heard the same thing... BioDiesel and DPF don't mix... As a matter of fact not only Dodge has the problem but VW wrote a article about this too...
  7. Typical of you Flagman... LOL :thumbsup Well out here in Idaho I'm hoping that there isn't much for fireworks. Grass is getting tall and dry... 8|
  8. I don't know for sure but they might?
  9. Check the trans relay in the PDC to be sure its not bad...
  10. I'd say get smaller injectors 75 HP and then throw a enhancement box like Edge on there and that will give you more control over the fuel curve.
  11. I guess so..
  12. This is one of the reason why I started my own business... I been there one time long ago... don't ever plan on returning to that... 8|
  13. I don't have that bonus at all... My brake res. cap is small and the res. is large with divider inside... That you just can't even drain the other side in the Res. because of the divider inside...
  14. There is either a pump problem or a line restriction. Typically hammer is right and there should be very little drop of pressure. Like myself I know I've got a AD150 but I've only got a 1-2 PSI drop from idle to WOT.Dropping more than 3-4 PSI there is a problem... 8|
  15. Ahhhh... I did see that truck... :thumbsup As for turning up the smoke that really easy. http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen12v/inc-pump/inc-pump.htm But as what you wife was telling me you trying for the MPG angle. So if you going for the MPG I would look at getting the injection pump timing bumped to 16* BTC and you might look at changing plates at the most... I love those stacks... Huge! But I think you need a single color on the truck... LOL
  16. Hmmm... One day I'll have to get together with you... I'm really close to you... :thumbsup
  17. For that problem they got what known as a Sneaker Series muffler which happens to be a muffler can with a straight pipe in it... ;)
  18. Just get it dried out is the big step...I'll check around and see what I can find...
  19. Ok... How about that??? ;)
  20. The filter minder is a sealed unit and doesn't flow any air. Pre-filter is also a good idea but you need to make sure you rig a stand for your filter so it don't rub holes in it...
  21. That's the Cluster testing as show here... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/3rdgen/cluster-test/cluster.htm But your is going to be different for the 3rd gen... But the codes are listed in the Dodge FSM if any were displayed...
  22. Interresting to say... It got a torsion bar suspension...
  23. On the flat... Stock 265/75 R16 Tires (Cooper STT) 65 MPH - 700-800*F Pyro - 5-8 PSI boost (16-17 MPG) 55 MPH - 550-600*F Pyro - 3-5 PSI Boost (19-20 MPG) Narrow tire 235/85 R16 (Big O AT) 65 MPH - 600-700*F Pyro - 4-6 PSI boost (18-19 MPG) 55 MPH - 450-550*F Pyro - 1.5-3 PSI Boost (20-22 MPG) Size compare... But that my problem there turely isn't any flat ground in Idaho. So I'm either going up or down a hill somewhere. Like running to town (Riggins, ID) is a 1,000 ft fall in 15 miles. Then if I go to McCall its basically 35 miles away and climb 2,400 feet. Then main grade is set at 45 MPH and its a windy SOB. So my daily travel MPG is typically lower 17-19 MPG range. But once I get out of the valley and go long like to Lewiston, ID (150 miles) or Boise ID (180 miles) now I'm kicking up the MPG back into the 21-23 MPG bracket. But since the economy is shot and money is thin I don't get out the valley much. So I've had to re-tune my driving habit to gain for my local by shaving 10 MPH off post speeds here. (65 MPH posted limit on US95) This puts me back to 20-21 MPG. But now I got to carry my ATV with me for a few jobs because just running up a dirt road (16% to 20%) for 5-7 miles will kill the MPG's quick as hell. So it cheaper to unload the ATV and ride it to the jobs or friends places. If the weather ever warms and dries up I ride my GoldWing...
  24. Hmmm... 6BT would fit under the hood without a problem but the front suspension won't hold it up...Magnum XE were only made for 2 years. It was basically a Dodge Cordoba with some fancy enhancements. This car has...318 CID V8 engineOrignally had a 4 barrel carb (Electronic lean burn) converted to 2 barrel holley 2210.Electronic lean burn was converted back to the old school electronic ignition.Automatic trans 904The rest of it completely stock for the most part...
