  1. My life is so dirty that contacts are not an option. I've tried them I just hate digging in my eye to get the lens out nad fuss with keeping them clean. Not getting infections in your eyes. That's the way I was previously. I had to hold can or bottles full arms length to read labels. Now my smaller work glasses are awesome for outdoor work and messy jobs. Light on my face and rarely ever slide down my nose. I love the geek glasses they work really good. Now my driving glasses are aviator style lens which are much larger and I've got a set of polarized clip ons shades. Work really well for drive these give me a very wide angle of vision which is awesome no longer got to turn my head to see side mirrors. You know it been part of my life for so long I don't know if I could live without glasses. Some days I take them off and drives me crazy because there is something missing that should be on the bridge of my nose. 36 years of wearing glasses I don't think I could ever switch back to contacts or do the laser eye treatment. Glasses to me are my daily eye protection. Keeps me to see, keeps the bright sun out of my eyes, helps prevent debris getting in your eyes. List goes on...
  2. Betcha if they where stock it would hold up better.
  3. You could drop each of the sliders -2 degree. Would be back close to the default tune
  4. Your device. So like if I was to import that back I would grab my cellphone surf the page and download the file. Now fire up the iQuad app on my cellphone. Switch back to your download and now open it. It will automagically import to the iQuad App. Now shut down the app. Restart and the tune will be in the iQuad. If you don't cycle the app it will act like its missing. But if you attempt to import again it will say it already there.
  5. That's one thing for sure I can say I've never had an issue with. All these years my fuel tank still looks factory fresh inside.
  6. Actually read about newer vehicles with electronic keys are really easy to steal because of the lack of a physical key. The electronic key can be purchased with a programmer that tells the vehicle to forget the owners key and use the new key. Now the thief has access to your vehicles in mere seconds and no forced entry like the past. No more slim jims or breaking windows. Just press the unlock button on your new hacked key. Drive away. Bad part is this all can be had from Amazon or eBay for less than $200 bucks and open as many vehicles as you wish.
  7. I'm working at an MPG tune because of my long travels. WARNING! - I'm running some pretty steep timing. - TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK iQuad-Economy-2018-06-13-01.12.061551729168.json My overall EGT at 55 MPH can be as low as 450*F on flat ground. Even at 65 MPH I float about 550*F EGT.
  8. Could you get in contact with @pepsi71ocean and tell him about this so he can update his list of ECM rebuilders.
  9. NAPA fan clutches tend to be OK. I've installed a few of those without any failing yet. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/TEM271361
  10. That's sick. Adams County (Idaho) and common household trash is free. Appliances, tires have a small price. Even my waste engine oil is free. I just got to haul it to the dump site. Typically 20-25 gallons at a time. Local dumpsters are free as long as you can get the trash the man opening. Pollock has 5 larger dumpsters. Everything from deer carcases, tires, household trash, you name it.
  11. Looking at the Dynatrac those things are crazy high price. That is just the ball joint alone. For that kind of money I can buy the entire axle for less from a wrecking yard... https://www.dynatrac.com/rebuildable-ball-joints/balljoints/hd-balljoints-for-2003-2012-dodge-ram-2500-and-3500-4x4.html Way different story... https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,2008,ram+2500+pickup,5.9l+l6+diesel+turbocharged,1441433,suspension,ball+joint,10070
  12. Looking that up its a perfect FFFF hexadecimal. Good question. I don't know either why there is a key counter. DRBIII tool typically is thousands of dollars to even purchase. This tool is "THE" tool that does all reflash work on any module on our truck. It can enable or disable high idle mode, reflash ECM's and PCM's. Calibrate ABS speed setup for larger tires. Read data from all sensors. Like I said this is "THE" tool of tools for the Dodge Cummins!
  13. Reason Quadzilla can't read codes is because of it on the CANBus not the OBDII port. CANBus port requires the Cummins Insite tool to ready error codes from there. This is limited to only the ECM errors you cannot see any others. OBDII port can read error and give some live data. Quadzilla is able to reach father giving like fuel temperature, commanded timing, oil pressure, and few other bits of data that OBDII port can't do. I would suggest an easy live data tool like OBDLink or similar. I tend to like the Bluetooth models because now you not limited by a cord. I can have my phone in my hand be under the hood chasing loose wires or wiggling wires and watch for changes. This can't be done with corded models.
  14. I had another friend trying to pass off his TDR magazine collection on me... I told him I would haul them to the dump. Why would I want to read outdated information? Even here some of my articles I've pulled because new information replaced the old information.
  15. Just buy a ISSPro EV2 gauge comes with a programable warning light. Matter of fact this gauge just saved my VP44 from damage.
  16. Might try AC Delco. OEM lasted 150k the AC Delco just crossing 200k really soon. Just had the front end inspected and aligned not long ago.
  17. Yes sir. @W-T put it back to the way the Dodge FSM states it should be. Not the OEM way which is incorrect. Dodge FSM shows the ECM, PCM and VP44 getting ground from the Driver Side battery.
  18. I forgot about something too. Another reason for these seal failures could be the use of wrong fluids in the power steering system. I've seen in the past where people have used ATF in these truck assuming it will work fine. It will not. ATF will cause seal damage and our system requires only power steering fluid. I suggest staying away from synthetics as well in this system. Being I've crossed 344k miles on the OEM pump and hydrobooster. I'd still have the factory steering box if I didn't screw up the input shaft cover.
  19. You create this ground. From the VP44 bolt to the driver side battery.
  20. Start with the ground a the passenger side battery, trace it to the alternator. Thenfrom there split the loom open all the way to the to the VP44. You'll see the ground splice.
  21. In a nutshell the large gauge wire will be spliced with the lighter gauge wires. At that point to cut the wire.
  22. Basically the TPS is how much fuel your commanding, engine load is how much fuel given. So if you command high amounts of fuel and the engine load is jumping like a jack rabbit then the ECM is damaged and providing bad data to the VP44.
  23. Again not a APPS problem ECM problem I need the data... Again look at my post I updated it...
  24. @Me78569 Idle software from the ECM seems to be clean. It's when it flips over to throttle mode fuel data gets dirty. Best suggestion is to grab an OBDLink OBDII dongle and data log both the TPS and the Engine Load in graph mode. At least we can see what TPS and the fuel signals are doing. Here is another members post about a possible APPS issues which in his case turned to be a bad ECM. We need the data of the TPS and engine load to figure out whats going on. Yes, it's possible the ECM could be damaged.
