Opinions on Amsoil and bypass filtration.
That's what CajFlynn did... The truck ended its life in a traffic accident at 1.3 MILLION miles. The engine got sold and lives on in a new truck body.

Thanks Dripley... I knew your a long hauler and drag your huge 5th wheel every where. Good example of what these truck do for longevity just as a Common Joe level.

Opinions on Amsoil and bypass filtration.
Frantz filters back when I got mine was a Toilet Paper filter. Now today toilet paper rolls are short in width and the seal ring doesn't cut into the edge of the roll to seal the end at the base. It now goes too deep and the oil bypasses in the core. That is the other problem the core size is varying in size you got to use sleeves to fill the void. So now the new owners sell cartridges but again now got to change it 2 times per oil run so I was every 5k miles change the Frantz filter and then 10k for full oil change. I didn't want to over run the main engine filter. http://www.frantzfilters.com/

Opinions on Amsoil and bypass filtration.
I've got a Frantz Filter but not in use. Never finished fixing it being that toilet paper rolls are all different now and don't seal properly. I started considering a spin on option but the micron rating isn't low enough (5-7 micron). AMSOil is to rich for my blood for bypass or oils. No I don't. I should say it... Last oil change was a NAPA Gold and Valvoline Premium Blue 15w-40 (petroleum base). I got the oil on sale at my local NAPA store. Not worth the trip 120 miles (Grangeville, ID) round trip just for Fleetguard filter. I'm heading towards 100-110*F weather really soon. All I can say ask some of the other members like Dripley is on his way to 400k miles.

Direct that to AH64ID he's the in house filter guru... Yea... That isn't suppose to be happening. Flow back valve is suppose to keep the oil system primed up. Not allowing it to drain back into the pan. Bad filter maybe....

Advantage of Draw straw?
Larger volume of flow. Less pressure drop during heavy loads. The down side is if installed wrong it could cause 1/4 tank issues where the fuel sloshes away from the tube and fuel pressure drops out.

I found that Fleetguard oil filters had a better designed flow back valve than most store brands. I've seen several cheap filter that drain back the system because of a cheap flow back valve. This is what creates that long period of zero pressure where a good Fleetguard typically doesn't have an issue with. 3,000 miles on any oil is way too early. Again manufacture specs are 7,500 miles. I'm sure AH64ID will say to have it tested and you'll find the end of your limits for oil life. That is the best way to go to find a good oil change interval.

Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
Some manufactures will require replacement of some parts like Ford wants a new condenser installed and a flush performed. Be careful. I've had some A/C parts come with O-rings but must of been pretty cheap about it being some o-ring are malformed or just out right wrong size. I typically carry a bag of spare O-rings for this reason. I was called to the local body shop to do a recharge on a Infinity. Wouldn't hold a vacuum. I asked the body man what he replaced and separated. Come to find out the condenser o-rings where the wrong size and not sealing. Same shop again called to charge a Dodge Ram and the condenser flare for the quick connect was malformed and wouldn't couple. Using my small file on my multi-tool shaped the flare and got it coupled up. So be aware of parts the good ol' China made stuff is really missing the Q & A process.

Having an RV is almost a needed item now a days.....
Funny how the upper class make sure they stay protected from the very same laws that would distribute their wealth back into the system. As for be green that's a crook of s__t. The Good Lord states "Nothing can be created and nothing can be destroyed." So the amount of carbon on this planet has never changed. Kind of blows holes in the whole "Carbon Tax" idea. As the sexual perversion again you can read the quotes I threw out from the Bible. Again these are measures to make the upper class more wealthy by taxing all the lower classes below. How about Obama and his plane trips here, there and everywhere? I don't see them being "Green" about upgrading Air Force One more efficient plane. More to home... Watching last year's forest fire and the MILLIONS of dollars spent. Now spending more rehabilitate the forest. Actually making money on logging out the burnt trees and closing more and more roads giving less access to the locals. Comes back around to the "Oregon Standoff" again.

Sad part is @Killer223 is right. The worse part is people of the Untied States are to ignorant to realize that Gov't system is not our master. In original design the Gov't are servants of the people. Since so many people have forgotten this and too ignorant of how the system is suppose to work the Gov't has giving themselves power over the people which is why our founding fathers left England and gave them the big middle finger years ago. Here we are repeating history all over again but most people are too ignorant to know or too afraid to speak up. This why events like the "Oregon Standoff" occurred because "We The People" are getting tired of being kicked around by the Gov't and being told how we'll behave under Gov't laws. Time to dig out the old history books boys and girls...

Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
I understand the concept of displacement the oil causes just strange that there is such a variance in number. Since I normally don't have every single service for every vehicle on the highway I have to work on. I typically fall back on the compressor manufacture listings.

392 Stroker Hemi Build
Kind of like all of use with our diesels its the fun stuff that cost so much...
-
Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
I figured the compressor manufacture would know what amount of oil should in the compressor.
-
Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
Might have to double check like my compressor states a larger amount. Like right on the Sanden compressor is a label stating 220 cc of PAG100 oil which works out to 7.43 ounces.
-
Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
Normally I just load the compressor and roll on with it. As soon as the compressor starts pumping it will push the oil around the system itself.

Sure if you are a "illegal citizen" of the United States of America then its all FREE. Cross any border and get into the US there is free health care, welfare, and host of other free services for illegal citizens. I've never filed for any Gov't assistance period! I've always made ends meet one way or another. If that means I work long hours, more often, so be it. Just like now paying off two transmission rebuilds and a brake job to boot on the 96 Dodge. All these lazy SOB's in the world with there hand out with perfectly good health should get the boot and made to working a job. If it means flipping burger so be it. At the same time anyone on Gov't assistance should be randomly drug and alcohol tested. If you are caught consuming alcohol or drugs of any sort you should removed from the program, PERIOD. I think that if you use the Gov't assistance system then after you on your feet I think you should pay back what you've used plus a percentage for the Gov't employees that handled your case. That's only fair right? I've not ashamed to say I washed dishes in a restaurant for 3 years. Still I always paid my bills and NEVER had to have Gov't assistance with anything period. Like I'm going to hitching up the BigTex 70TV trailer as soon as the 2002 transmission is done and be hauling firewood. I've got neighbors around me that need firewood this year so I can make a few bucks supplying them wood. This brings up another funny one is all the people on welfare typically or obese people that can stand to lose a few ugly pounds. No problem get them cutting firewood that will work some pounds off you. People need to quit sitting around thinking that their entitled to something. Thing is I'm not perfect by no means...

That why there is such problems with riots. For once some is going to cut off the free money to freeloaders and they are getting pissed because they might have to work for once. Heaven forbid...

Being that most people talking in the thread here want to get together. Let's start figuring out way of dividing up the US and gathering up people in regions and having get together's.
