Cracked dash
That seem like a lot of work chasing cracks as the form. Pull the entire dash is quite the project so you can access these area. Bad enough doing a HVAC case.

Sweet Dreams Sweetheart...see you in the spring :)
Sweet dreams... Mine is do the same thing now taking a winter nap in the shop. Price of gasoline fell to a all time low here and now it cheaper to just drive the gasser and park the diesel.

I wish they would wake up in California there is no global warming. When this year alone we've broke more low records in November than ever.

weird leak
Think a bit differently when was the last time you changed the power steering fluid and flushed the system?

Poor Performance on a 24 valve.
The only reason it common is because people baby the truck too much and never actually open the wastegate. So the wastegate rust into position. Where I live in the rust belt I never had a issue being I keep the engine bay washed out and tend to tickle the wastegate now and then as I watch the boost gauge hit 35 PSI and bounce then settle back at 35-36 PSI.

3rd gen front breaks on 2nd gen
It allows you to gain just a bit more braking force because of the larger diameter rotors that are used. But this mod requires the change of wheels and tires as well to 17". I tend to look at if from another angle of the increased mass of axle parts you just losing MPG's over it. But that's me. The Effects of Rotational Inertia on Automotive Acceleration

Rear slide window
Years ago I made a steel horseshoe clip for my 1972 Dodge Powerwagon. The previous owner had broke the plastic clip off the back slider glass. I've even gone a step farther for security was using a few length of steel rod to thread all in the tracks to keep the windows closed. But being that was a standard cab it was easy to open back up. Now with my 96 with the slider you have to crawl in the back seat to open it. It's a extended cab not a quad cab.

You need to have power to measure draw. So the red lead must stay from the battery. Now you could pull each lead and measure from the RED cable stud to the lead to measure draw of each wire. With power still hooked up you can pull one fuse at a time and measure across the fuse terminals of the panel and see the draw level of each circuit. When you find the heavy draw circuit tell me the fuse and I'll pull up the wiring diagram for it. Right now you need to work your way down the power distribution system and find out which circuit is the heavy draw.

One last thing to do! (flatbed) BRAKE CONTROLLER
I've got a P2 controller and the plug is blue in color and the Dodge dealer should have the pig tail for you. My truck was supplied with the pigtail at the time of purchase being I specified the I planned on towing trailers.

Fuel Prices
One of the reasons I'm such a economy freak. Everything I do is long distance. I can drive 100 miles easy in one day just going to the hardware store or grocery store. If I'm going big city shopping like WalMart its a good 120-180 miles one way excluding all the running around. So in a lot of ways I'm glad I've got 2 vehicles on two different fuel types. It's going to be a good time to fill up my gasoline barrel here too I'm running low.

Opps... I forgot about you Stodg...

Battery Drain
All the big fuses are encased in plastic so there is no way to probe them. But still in all you are measuring amp draw so you have to break the circuit to measure amp draw.

Hey Kyle you might want to hook up with me78569 he's in your state and really quite good with the Cummins trucks. Welcome to the Family Kyle...

Fuel Prices
It's official... The 2002 Dodge is parked till further notice. I've now moved all my fire gear and stuff over to 1996 Dodge and going to be driving it. Rumor has it that price of gasoline is coming down again but diesel will remain at 3.759... Ugh... So even after doing the math its cheaper to drive the gasser. I went through and clean the truck up, vacuumed, check the fluids and moved my ScanGauge II over and reset it. (233% offset for the gasser and 15.2% for the diesel). Even moved the Garmin GPS over as well.

Fuel Prices
Ok... So explain why diesel prices are higher in Ontario, OR and Boise, ID then a little piss ant town of Riggins, ID? I was seeing 3.839 to 3.899 for diesel but come home I can get diesel for 3.759 in Riggins, ID. Doesn't make much sense to me. But gasoline is falling like a anvil of the Empire State Building.

Poor Performance on a 24 valve.
With a bit more fuel a HX35W spools up quite rapidly.

I still don't feel the VP44 has anything to do with the issue I still think at this point your injectors are more of a cause.

Battery Drain
No. The Alternator fuse is hooked at the head of the main bus going into the PDC so it has the illusion of the alternator and PDC both. The black lead on the alternator should be dead without a fuse in place. The red lead terminal is the battery supply and also powers the PDC main bus. So now the loads as shown above break off in separate fuses. Then break off again to the Cab fuse panel too.

Poor Performance on a 24 valve.
Still doesn't resolve the mechanical issue. Boost is really easy to build on these truck so when the boost rises above 20 PSI the fueling map starts to defuel. So not having a proper module with boost fooler your going to see P0234 codes. But its still wise to have working wastegate. You don't want to over rev the turbo charger and do damage. For HX35W 35 PSI is about as far as you can go with it and then your drive pressure starts rising or in other words you hit your choke point.

Battery Drain
From the alternator fuse everything else is powered in the PDC so I would pull one fuse and probe each fuse socket with the amperage meter. When you find the socket drawing the heavy load then you at least know what circuit. Then after the PDC then move to the in-cab fuse panel.
