  1. You going to to see a cut off where the Smarty drops dead at. The low end will look really good but after 20-25 PSI of boost the numbers will flatten out. Because at that point the fuel table ran out and your running solely on injectors.
  2. I grab my modified 5 gallon bucket slip it under the the differential. Unbolt the cover and carefully pry the cover off. Allow the old fluid to drain out. I've always just used a bead of standard silicone around the cover. Now after working for Lindy for nearly a year I tend to like the grey Silicone now more so for the differential covers. Then I grab my 5 gallon bucket of 80w-90 gear lube with bucket pump and fill the differential. I typically cover half the hole with my thumb and pump in another 1-2 pumps and quickly throw the plug back in. I do this so there is plenty of gear lube to flood the bearings on the axles again after draining. As for the Internet myth of over filling causing seal issues. I can answer that. Typically when we see those coming into the shop with leaking axles I can just about bet the differential vent is plugged with mud or grime. When the differential warms up and fluid expands there is no vent so it pushes oil out the seals. So over filling will not cause seal issues.
  3. Holy Cow. I would love to have a set for my truck. Nicely done bumpers!
  4. Counter clockwise turning is normal on the alternator pulley. Even mine slips going clockwise. The problem remains there is coolant and oil going places it really should not be going.
  5. Mostly its driving style mostly. Then driving speed. That's the major factor. Now since fuel prices came down I just set the cruise for 60-65 MPH and roll. No longer working the hyper-miling method I know and my MPG's have dropped. But if I go back to the trick I've learned about stretching the fuel then I can easily hit 20's again.
  6. Well the next best thing to do is get a compression tester and do a compression test and then do a leak down test. This would verify the head gasket by pressurizing the cylinder and the bad cylinder would blow bubbles in the radiator. Compression test would be lower on the bad cylinder.
  7. Stock lines can't flow fuel good enough to keep the pressure up. So it would help to convert over any remaining stock lines. AirDog / Raptor pumps have a low quality as most members will tell you.
  8. Any knocking? Like I was talking to my Boss yesterday and he hydro-locked his wife's car and bent the connecting rod and makes a horrid banging noise when it runs.
  9. @Irhull The only thing I can think why the Boost is off is because the sensor is failed in specs. @TFaoro Any error codes for CCD network?
  10. If there is any coolant pressure. If the engine was still cold then most likely not.
  11. Typically oil pressure is higher pressure than coolant pressure so oil typically goes to the water side. Coolant could be a cause as it ages it becomes corrosive and eats at thing like head gaskets makes them weak.
  12. Basically yes. If you stab the throttle it should ramp up continue to governor rate.
  13. Sounds like a head gasket failure. So far in all the years I've never seen a oil cooler failure yet.
  14. Bill's right like a friend down the road just got new tires and they are rated for 3,415 pounds in a Load Range E. But I've got 3,042 pounds in a load range E. Still in all even if the tire was like my old load range G's at 3,750 pounds still doesn't change the fact of the designed limits of the truck and safety factors. So even if the tires can do it... How about the wheels? Then are you going over your axle weight rating? How about gross vehicle weight?
  15. Modular design is a very good thing so when the Edge module dies for what ever reason you still have you gauges. Like with a Edge Comp you can unhook it in a few seconds and still keep all you gauges. Edge Juice fails your without your gauges.
  16. Yes once in awhile I have my junk food but nothing like the general American public. Yes I have occasional soda pop but I don't buy cases and case like the America Public. Like Beer and Soda pop around here last for months because its so rarely consumed. I see people in Riggins, ID hauling huge trash sacks full of beer can and pop cans. Like here we might pick up two or three 2 liters bottles of soda pop but it typically goes flat well before it consumed. Even beer a 12 pack of beer goes for months. Heck a 1/5 of whiskey goes for years... There is nothing wrong with having a little sweets and junk once in awhile as long as it moderated or limited. Out of all the people I talk to on the phone I know of several people that are members of this forum that are well above 300 and some above 400 pounds. They have back and joint issues and/or health problems etc. Health wise I consider myself fairly average. I'm not the best but no where near the Doctor bound people I live around. They are constantly in the local clinic for a new drug, pain killer, illness etc. Last time I seen a doctor was back in 1996 when I dislocated my knee.
  17. I would have to agree figuring between sea level and the tallest point in the world you can drive. There is going to be a difference in atmospheric pressure from one elevation to another.
  18. I must be lucky then... I was at a high of 235 pounds back in 2001. Now today I'm at 205 pounds. I'm also 6'2" tall. I still eat everything but in moderation. But I'm typically a active person. So it rather tough for me gain weight typically but during the winter I normally gain a few but lose it in the spring of the year. MoparMom and myself typically eat very good health diet with mostly home made stuff. Very little pre-processed foods.
  19. Now you know why I run dual hard drives. Primary is setup for operation of the OS and software. The secondary drive is setup for weekly backup. Always love when Linux throws a banner up stating a hard drive is going to fail soon please back up now. Really nice when you go through you old hard drive to test and SMART pick up right away in Linux setting the warning.
  20. Here is the full page. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/brw-908b688045 The only reason I suggest hub centric is the hub will center it all up for you. But lug centric will rely on the lug nuts to center it all up.
  21. I would aim for hub centric. Right on the door.
