  1. Check your grid intake heater relays and ensure that the 4 90* elbow electrical connectors are on their posts on the relays. My rear relay had one wire that was off its post, and that was causing the constant P0380 code.
  2. Did you have to bake your headlight housings in the oven to get the clear lenses off, or did you use a heat gun?
  3. IOD fuse is good, as well as, fuse 16 is good as well.
  4. Oops, sorry I didn't look that far up the diagram. I was just concentrated on the solenoid wiring below. Thanks!
  5. I’m wondering the same thing. Do I remove the ball bearing that’s inside it? I read on the Cummins forum one member there fixed his that way. I guess the next thing to do is to verify that the green/red wire has power, and the black/green wire has ground connectivity. I guess I should check for ground continuity from pin 6 of the seat belt control module and the ground point below the left rear speaker where the passenger and driver seat solenoids splice together.
  6. My 99 doesn't have any wiring going to the female socket belt buckle. I only have the 3 wire plug going to the seat belt retractor with the orange/black, green/red, and black/green wires. A while back I tried a jumper wire between the orange/black and black/green wires before, but all it did was lock up my seat belt solenoid. I just tried the jumper between the black/green and green/red wires, but my seat belt light still stays on after it quits flashing.
  7. Is that the plug that goes to the seat belt buckle on the right side of the driver's seat? I think I was looking at the plug for the seat belt retractor that has 3 wires with the orange/black wire in it.
  8. Where is that connector located at exactly? Mine has 3 wires and maybe I'm looking at the wrong one, and it's a Laramie SLT with driver power seat. Thanks, Doug
  9. That looks like a slick little setup for a backup camera and stereo combo.
  10. I'm assuming that I need to jumper the Black/Green (Ground) with the Sense (Green/Red) wires? I only see the one connector going to the driver's seat backrest, and that is the 3 wire connector that's under the driver seat center seat area under the seat frame. Is there supposed to be any other electrical connectors?
  11. Any idea as to which two wires need to be jumpered? Thanks!
  12. My 99 is a Laramie SLT with the left power seat, and mine has 3 wires - orange/black, green/red, and black/green. I need to know which two wires to jumper. Thanks!
  13. There are 3 wires in the harness plug going to the driver's front seat. I'll have to look at it again and get the colors of the wires.
  14. My seat belt has 3 wires going to it. What do I need to do to get the seat belt light to go out in the instrument cluster?
  15. Hope your IP is under warranty, or the vendor will honor it being at fault and replace/repair it for you, since it seems that it's not that old.
  16. A vacuum leak could cause him to have a hard brake pedal as well and poor braking performance.
  17. You can remove the seat bottom assembly by just removing the two front and two rear 10mm headed bolts that mount it to the seat frame. If you lay down in front of the seat you'll see the front two -one at each corner. Then do the same for the rear two bolts.
  18. The seat cushion pad and cover can be swapped over to your frame.
  19. @Chris O. Any update as to when you'll have your awesome tool available for sale?
  20. On my 99 Cummins RWAL brakes only, the ABS and brake lights would come on almost every time I started the pickup and drove it. There were a couple times that it didn't come on for a day. My cruise control would come on, but it wouldn't always set when I pushed the set button. This evening I got underneath the pickup and noticed that the wiring sheath was broken and the "white" wire had an exposed spot due to it rubbing on the rear sway bar connector link behind the gas tank. I just repaired that wire and will test it out on my drive to work in the morning.
  21. I just tried putting a jumper wire between the black/green wire and the orange/black wire on my 99 Cummins Laramie SLT and it locked my driver's side seatbelt up and it wouldn't come out at all. The seat belt light stayed on on the dash still too. I cut the jumper wire and then the seat belt would come out like normal again. I even tried the pull the seat belt all the way out and then push it into the seat belt buckle, and that didn't make my seat belt light go out. My seat belt retractor has 3 wires on the driver's power seat; Black/Green Orange/Black Green/Red I haven't checked the Green/Red wire yet for 3V reference yet, but I already changed out my clock spring a while back with a OEM Mopar one, and I don't have any air bag light or code issues. Did I jumper the correct two wires or do I need to jumper them differently?
  22. My friend with his built 02 Cummins engine, just started to get an extended cranking issue a couple days ago. It had never done it before, but it would crank for a lot longer and then fire up and sound normal once it was idling. What he found was 2 things - He had water in the fuel cup, and his "Water in Fuel" light in the dash was blown out. He has a Pegasys diagnostic tool and he turned the water in fuel light on with it, but it didn't come on in the dash. He drained the fuel filter cup and installed a new fuel filter and now it starts normal again.
  23. In my 99 Laramie SLT overhead console everything works, except for the trip meter. I ran the self test on it, and it said "PASSED". My friend's 02 Laramie SLT does the same exact thing. We don't get any errors on the display either. Anybody know why this is happening? It's not a big deal as the dash has its trip meter, but it's just an annoyance that it doesn't work.
  24. My 99 Cummins has a Skyjacker lift in the front with quad shocks - one pair inside the coil springs like from the factory, and the 2nd pair are mounted to the lift and run down behind the coil springs.
