  1. I took all them plugs out too and used regular motor oil just like on everything else and one of these https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-verizon&biw=360&bih=278&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=31C-WsuSBYiDjwS6oK6oBw&q=air+nozzle+for+compressor+to+suck+liquid+&oq=air+nozzle+for+compressor+to+suck+liquid+&gs_l=mobile-gws-img.3...27207.39143..39394...0....592.5407.0j2j5j5j1j3..........1..mobile-gws-wiz-img.EHiXNSps5XU%3D#imgrc=ZnkUCA79yTe0uM: Basically it foggs everything with oil and works better than oil in a can imo.
  2. So do most people I know. And you have legal head lights too so you won't be a victim of a paintball gun, hey dripley was going to use a pellet gun I just suggested paint ball because you can maybe block out blinding light of upcoming vehicle with illegal light and not break their headlight like pellet gun might, and suggested to have a real gun too incase they go chase you after you put out their lights with paint. Yeah I know, I'm not too bright, I'm going to quit commenting on controversial subjects, some take it wrong way, I'm just making stupid jokes anyway, I would never do something like that, at worst they might get flashed with high beam and maybe a finger.
  3. That's what I use
  4. Man, no one's laughing at my jokes anymore
  5. My wife got one too I tried it a few times but no matter which coffee I tried it gives me a headache, I stopped using it and I want to say she did too. That and make sure you never use hot water to boil it or make any kind of food with it, meaning if you don't want to wait and trying to speed up the process by using hot water out of water heater. Not only water heaters are usually full of garbage but they will leach heavy metals.
  6. Same here, seems that around year 2000 they use some crap for paint and clearcoat, my truck and my honda both have that disease.
  7. Paint ball gun and a real one incase they turn around
  8. I use a cheap electric one that just boils water and make whatever I need coffee/tee etc but I got one that is one piece stainless steel inside so water never contacts plastic and BPA from plastic doesn't leach in water. https://www.google.com/search?q=secura+swk-1701db&oq=secura+swk&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.13812j0j7&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  9. I like my 4th gen rims, never going back to original, but thank you @dripley
  10. I went through most of the truck and all the hard to reach places I sprayed with oil, inside rockers, doors, mounts, fenders, then let it sit on gravel for extra oil to run out. Seemed to help slow down rust. Need to do it again soon.
  11. It's the only decent one I got in my phone at the moment.
  12. Not sure of proper way, probably some cleaner with water and flushing. All I did is ran garden hose through engine after it was assembled (thermostat left out, just a gasket in place) few times, when it looked clean filled it up with water and drove around 10 minutes then did that few times, then drained everything out including heater core, because I'm anal I spent money on distilled water and filled it up with that ran another 10 minutes, then again drained everything out, finally filled it up with fleet guard antifreeze that's blue in color 60/40 Mix 60 being antifreeze.
  13. Ever since I put window screen on the front of my truck and did Mikes vent mod I haven't had any problems
  14. Bingo, I work for a city myself and know about hidden problems especially under the ground that no one wants to spend money on. They could save all kinds of money if people they hired had a half a brain and we're not lazy, but unfortunately that's not the case. I could go on and on in details but that's not going to solve anything. On the other hand I live in Iowa and for the most part the roads are in pretty good shape comparing to other places I've been.
  15. I've actually heard that every time you scan you will get 1693 code just because you're scanning
  16. Yeah I'm hoping it's injector related, but your right if they are out it would worth seeing inside and be nice to do compression test. Also when you get injectors out make sure all copper washers stay on injectors and not in a hole, and make sure to get new orings for cross over tubes, injectors will come with new washers and orings. Read a lot on how to do the job if haven't done it before so you don't make simple costly mistakes, like trying to pull injectors out before removing cross over tubes etc. Ask here will walk you through it. Good luck.
  17. I used to buy some stuff from government liquidation but that was years ago and already had competition, not sure how it is now. But once in a while you can score, and that goes for any place just need to be in right place at right time with cash. I've picked up duce and half for 1200 with fees and taxes and someone I know got one for 100, he was the only one bidding lol, drove it home.
  18. If you take injectors out and they are in fact original (at least it will say Bosch on them) send them to DAP and have them look at them, if they confirm that they are original then trade them in as a core and get a set of rv275 or 60hp they have a sale I believe going on now. You can always call them and talk to them, say this forum send you there and they will treat you good, if in fact if they have a deal going now you can at least get locked in it. I have a filling you may have bigger injectors then stock considering 4" exhaust air dog etc, so before you just get random injectors verify what you have, if you already have let's say 75hp DAP can rework them much cheaper then getting a new set. How is your egts now
  19. Yeah these newer electronic turbos are sure nice, I like Cummins for simplicity, longevity and accessibility for back yard mechanics. But with new technology constantly evolving it's no surprise we're falling farther back in time speaking of 2nd gens, and yet there are plenty of us that wouldn't trade it for anything. More than likely because we all broke and can't afford new every couple of years but manage to spend fortune on what we have, it's a vicious circle I think we can all agree that 2nd gens will be classic and in demand I don't think 3rd gens will make that list, 4th probably. I know few guys with 6.4 and they love them after all the mods of course, and still when they see my truck they say I was going to get one but couldn't find one in good shape for good price. Heck I almost got one myself.
  20. How many mileson truck/injectors , try adding 2 cycle oil to fuel 1oz to gallon ashless
  21. Hole you drilled in basket, I think I would use like a 3/8 stainless bolt with two big Fender washers and a chunk of viton rubber something that holds up to diesel, with nylon nut so it don't come loose. I think it be stronger than J-B Weld in that big of a hole
  22. Makes people lazy, therefore the outcome Sounds like a good clutch to consider, did you reuse your flywheel
  23. I don't know if I want to go any faster in a dodge ha ha, that's why they limited to that speed in the first place. Probably save them some lawsuits.
