  1. I think we all cuss at our trucks once in awhile. But it's that time when it purrs like a tiger and pulls like an elephant that makes it up for it
  2. I didn't care for my Boost elbow maybe I have a junk one, hard to adjust to just the right spot and it has a small pin hole in it for bleeding air off, so basically it's a constant small boost leak. I just put a plug where a boost elbow goes and now rely on Quadzilla defuel settings
  3. I must have missed it somewhere, did you already get rid of your 2nd gen
  4. I believe you're on the right track sadly that is no easy way to tell, like Mike suggested if there is another pump in line that's slowing flow down and there were occasions with plugged screens. Plus if it's all factory, lines are pretty restrictive. In my opinion chances are VP is probably shot or on the last leg after a treatment like that. If he's planning on keeping this truck I'd say new fuel system with a gauge obviously and possible new VP
  5. Max load timing offset
  6. Yes check that first ^^^ sounds like a possible ecm problem, which leads to checking alternator for excessive ac noise. Also relay that comes with fass or air dog is not a protective one, you need to get one that has a resistor or diode for when it's denergized and doesn't send current spike back to ecm
  7. I was going to comment on how to make it smoke but, nah... I guess I don't care for smoke myself ether. When I used to race smoke meant you didn't know how to tune properly, but when new to this game it's cool for a little bit but gets rather annoying soon after. PS. if you want to smoke. Less air more fuel will get you there but most will not like it and will point fingers in our direction, which is not cool and gives us bad name. Use at your own risk.
  8. I actually watchedthe whole thing
  9. I bumped mine to 98 it's about perfect now. I'm happy. Funny thing is I tried GPS on my Honda and if I'm going 65 GPS is telling me I'm going 61 so somehow it's off even with correct size tires. Truck was opposite lol.
  10. I'd go with Vulcan then if they are genuine, keep competition honest.
  11. Sometimes a broken wire by rear axle, it rubs on sway bar.
  12. I see I'm late to the party and you already made right choice, contact and plunger kit usually does the trick. And yes very easy to do.
  13. Yes^^^^^, but baby in boiling water now I know what's wrong with me
  14. Man... isn't there any real man left out there or is it all keyboard warriors.
  15. I just want to clarify that I'm not a girl Ha ha kidding I know you speak of your self, hats off to you madam. I can just picture my wife laying next to me under my tuck handing me tools .....
  16. I've built a lot of projects in gravel lol
  17. This brings another question, by raising pop pressure does it reduce life of vp
  18. Just seeing who's paying attention ha ha, you get a
  19. You probably going to want to make some kind of heat shield for it and put some rubber hoses on air conditioning lines and whatever else will be in the way of heat shield and filter so things don't get robbed through
  20. That's exactly what I did on mine too That's exactly what I did on mine too That's exactly what I did on mine too
  21. Another update for those who is interested. Finally figured out why torque converter would do a lock unlock with similar symptoms as a bad alternator. So he had his alternator rebuilt now has about .03 VAC but that didn't help the way torque converter was acting up. Problem was in TPS voltage setting, his whole lever must have been worn enough it wasn't grabbing sensor to rotate it and change voltage, it was basically always reading 0.3 volts so I made a shim and we got it to about 1.2v. Now torque converter does what it's supposed to, he's all happy and giggly.
  22. That's why I'm hanging on to my S6 in fact I got two of them one for the truck and one for normal use, you can find them used for under a hundred bucks. This last one I got I had to update software about five times before it was on the new enough version to work good with quad. But I stopped updating it after I liked what I've seen, I think it said something 2016. Reason I don't update to the latest is sometimes they don't have all the bugs worked out and you have problems, like battery goes dead too fast. Reason I was suggesting Droid is just to use with quad, it's more friendly and you can use apple core for whatever else.
  23. Something ain't right, I would be checking for possible boost leaks. Did it get model laggy on take off and more smoke. Little smoke is ok with slightly bigger injectors, but if it takes longer to spool turbo you probably have a boost leak.
