  1. Sounds like it's junk, I'd take it off. Some leave in line pump just in case ad or fass die, but there is so many other things can go wrong you may as well load the truck with spear parts and take them everywhere you go or try to stay on top of things with preventive maintenance. Some had everything they needed but the vp and vp goes out or water pump or alternator and takes ECM with then you're still stock out there. Best to have a plan and people you can trust. Some saved cash maybe.
  2. IDK, I admire people that can still invent. Sure not always pretty, but I guess if safety becomes a concern then it's a different t story. For 10k I would find a clean 4 door Dodge or Ford with a blown engine and put a 12 valve in.
  3. @Greenlee if you read my post it is possible to prolong the life of them if you catch them on time. if they are loose or making noise it's too late and you should replace both. There are some people that pressed old ones up part and repacked them, I got a set for $20 from craigslist just to try that, but my 20 ton press did not do it, been soaking them in oil now to see if it helps. It's been few years since I greased my bearings and now that I got most of tone wheel clean the light seems to stay off, I think being cold out helps as grease stays solidified, in summer time light comes on more often. I heard some that greased their bearings every 50k now have over 500k on them and still going strong, that's why I decided to grease mine.
  4. Iwas wondering about that too, but I can't explain with text most of time
  5. Yeap I feel same, but I do run in to a lot of people that think is a great idea, including my wife. She already told me that she'll firs in line to get one lol. Even after I tried to reason with her. I told her say hello to hitler when you get there. Some people think Bible is a joke but I find it hard to believe after all the evidence that's out there, all you have to do is look.
  6. Technology will soon outpace humans in many ways it already has, and it's just the beginning. There is a reason it's called beast system.
  7. I just switched to Nicks long idle flash and updated the app to what was posted by qwadzila 1.9.41 (58) and this is my vehicle selection screen, still have v2 dodge 1998-2002 version 2.5 and now using V2 dodge 98-02 version 2.7
  8. Why not if it's double dosed with 2 cycle
  9. I don't think advancing timing internally on the VP has anything to do with idle RPM. All that does is inject fuel sooner, and probably only beneficial for high RPM race application. As far as I know ECM controls idle when there is zero TPS input not vp. I really see no benefit to internally advanced timing vp44 now that we have Quadzilla with V2 control. Thank you @Me78569
  10. It does sound like ECM is not functioning properly, but the whole thing with your key in the ignition does make one wonder. Someone just had good success with rebuilding their ECM for four 200 bucks, but before you do that do make sure you have no excessive AC current coming off your alternator. Also check for codes with a good OBD scanner. The place I'm thinking off to repair ECM is in Florida called Auto computer specialist. It may be more than two hundred bucks but probably still way better than paying a couple of grand. Were calling them and asking a few questions. Either way let us know the outcome we're all curious about things like that.
  11. Measure tire tread from same place and elevation on front and rear and set it so tow is in just a little, then adjuste steering wheel straight.
  12. But wheels are connected so yes alignment will be off but truck should still split the difference between wheels and move the steering wheel one way or another. So technically truck should still not pull because of bad alignment, or it should do it equal in each direction. I don't know just thinking here.
  13. It's stupid simple to do alignment on our trucks, when I bought it guy said he just had shop do alignment, so after few months I checked it cause tires were wearing funny and it was tow in like 1/2" or better, I now have it set about 1/32 to 1/16 tow in. I thought it was simple to do. Do tow first then steering wheel.
  14. I think that's part of the plastic where fog lights go he must have put bigger ones in
  15. That must have been what I was thinking about.
  16. I grease mine every year and they seem to somehow dry out, I even use high temp synthetic special grease just for that matter. Whatever you do don't use antiseeze that stuff dries out really fast. I was always wondering about if it's possible on our setup, what I'm trying to say is even if your alignment was off toe in tow out, why would pull left or right shouldn't be still going straight just a steering wheel may be crooked and be very touchy.
  17. On my 02 they're behind rotors, I have brake/ABS light come and go so I changed my sensors and it didn't help. I think my problem is from over greasing my wheel bearings on front, every time I get tone ring cleaned from grease light stays away for awhile.
  18. Nothing wrong with that, my wife says you have to love your self first then everything else, because if you don't love your self how can you love others. I never understood that logic but it's been working for her apparently. I get dumber every day with the way society is these days, everything I was taught is backwards now. Edit: Sorry I know this is supposed to be an uplifting thread, no more from me,
  19. I don't mind making fun of my self, I know I'm an idiot ha ha, and if someone else can smile because of it I did something right. It's not supposed to make since.... not sure where I'm going with this, felt like posting something smart.
  20. So I guess custom tunes will only show up under 2.5 profile when downloaded? Is there a plan to switch that to 2.7 profile. Or it would be nice to be able to chose where they would download to.
  21. I thought they made them cabs for special orders, he might have locked out and bought a cab from someone and put it on that frame. Only if my truck had four doors like that, I'd be a happy camper. Under different circumstances I'd probably buy it.
