  1. Back in late 90s I was at car action with the guy I worked for and he got one of these 2nd gens extended cab with cummins 4x4 for a customer he took with him to the action that day. I remember the guy was all excited because they got a really good deal on it. I remember being impressed with it, had 4 in body lift from factory and just looked and sounded cool. I told myself one day I'll have one of them. Then I forgot all about it, over a decade went by then I started looking for a diesel pickup, after I couldn't find any decent 7.3 I came across what I have now. Who would have known.

  3. You must of had an auto not a 6spd Now we know how you learned all about these transmissions
  4. Cool project. My personal opinion is you're over thinking it, nothing wrong with that better to over think then under 2.31 ft = 1psi factory is in the basket so when tank is full there's some pressure but not as much as you'll have. The advice @Tractorman gave is probably the best, contact someone that actually builds them. As for fass some return it to filler neck with an adapter some like me, returns to bottom of basket. I like the idea of returning to bottom so it doesn't foam up as much. But then again those that return it to filler neck have no issues ether. More importantly is how you suck it out of tank and where.
  5. I had mine turned off for ever, have enough junk in my mailbox as it is. Much easier to see who's tagging you by notifications on the website here.
  6. I would not stack quad with anything else, sounds like you're still using older version too, update it to v2 software, it'll give you way more control.
  7. There is a video on YouTube guy breaking will start hot torqueing arps on a cummins
  8. I honestly don't remember, I might have put them to factory torque spec. I went with longer bolts just for a piece of mind so I don't pull threads out. Actually I have A1 head studs not arp, but yes what you circled is a stud. We're talking about rocker arm bolts. That other bolt on the right is a apps mount
  9. Same here, keep thinking about doing something on my own. Probably will ones job will require stupid shots that everyone been egor to get because software guy that can't cure computer viruses all the sudden wants to cure the world, what a joke and most are buying it how is alcohol legal and some plant is not, oh I guess you can't keep your own seeds ether, great free world we leave in.
  10. I think I'm ok, they were bolts, you can see arp on top of them
  11. I hate dealers with passion, they can't seem to do anything right. Not sure if they ever helped me in any way other then sell me overpriced parts when I couldn't get them anywhere else, not taking about dodge, pretty much all of them. I feel that I need to open a shop, and help people along with making good leaving. If they can do it I think I can too. Been debating this idea for a while, I did very well in past but now everything is going computerized and over engineered. Just had someone call me asking to work on their volkswagen tiguan because dealer quoted them $7000 after looking at it I estimated $500 in parts and probably half a day of work, how do they not get sued on daily basis for ripping people off.
  12. I'm looking for my pictures to see if I've gone New I wasn't that crazy, mine were bolts. Guess it's time to upgrade to studs, just kidding I think these will be fine. I can sleep now
  13. I guess the ones I got are bolts, unless I'm losing my mind Which with all the crap I got going on in my life I wouldn't doubt it
  14. That's ok we're used to you here, wouldn't be as fun otherwise
  15. They are bolts, how I know is I used them. That's why I'm not sure why they call them studs.
  16. Not sure why they call it studs, it's clearly a bolt
  17. My knee been screwed up for years, first time I thought I'm done and need a surgery, then somehow it slowly healed good enough I forgot about it, the more I stay active without abusing it the better it is. If I get lazy it starts to let me know amongst other things like lower back neck elbow shoulder. So now I just stay active enough through the days to keep pain in check, some days I feel great and forget I have problems, others I'm in pain for days thinking what an I going to do. Having a drink helps but it's not a way to go through life. Don't get me wrong, I'll have a drink now and then but not daily like some of people I know, it seems they have more health problems and just keep drinking and taking pills. Need something to look forward to in life to keep moving forward, this bs with what's happening in the world doesn't help, but we need to stay strong and keep pushing forward. Speaking of which I had some blood work done and was told I'm near bottom on my vitamins especially D, you'd think it be fine as I spend time outside more than most I know. So you guys and gals may want to take some vitamin D at least in the winter time. I was told to take 2000 a day and some people get to take 5000. Doctor told me 80% of their patients are deficient on D and other things. I'm feeling better now with more energy and not as tired, something you need to look into.
  18. I'm still using it on my fenders but someday I'll be giving love, just trying to decide how to go about it. Buy a whole truck from south, rob it for parts scrap the rest or just buy a box and fenders. May need doors too or just patch bottoms... Cab is looking a lot better with new corners, it was a bit sad to see big Sapporo can go on passenger side I'm getting used to it being gone now. Fluid film is everywhere and it kinda stinks like it too, has this distinct smell to it, I don't use high pressure washer on the underside just a hose now, don't want to knock the film off. Yeah it's crazy how bureaucracy works, the idea might be great but then politicians screw it all up as always.
  19. Nice water main, hopefully they didn't need that at job site I used black poly pipe when I did mine on 20" and 52" military tires. Had to make my own rims too, cut some split rims 8 of them to make 4 welded in custom cut scenters held together with 3/8 SS bolts every 2" worked great, ran 2psi just fine, tried 0psi but it would bottom out every so often, 2 was good, for the most part I ran about 10-12
  20. ^^^ that and see if you can get 2001-2002 ECM and have it programed to your truck. Last versions of ECM were better made, what I'm told.
  21. If you don't have a tuner if stick with rv275, otherwise you'd be smokey and have higher egts towing. You'd benefit from at least a boost fooler so you can run higher boost. To tag someone just put @ and with no space type person screen name you want to tag. Otherwise it may be awhile before you get response unless they are reading all the threads like JAG1 he never tags, make me read everything here @JAG1
  22. Are you going mechanical or going to try and warranty fass?
  23. Good to hear you like your injectors. I put arp bolts in my rokers when I did some other work on the head. They are longer and will prevent pulling out of head, for whatever reason they machined it almost another 1/4" deeper and used shorter bolts. I had some issues with them in the past close to 8-10 years ago, I believe they changed some staff and their modo on how they do business now, last few sets I got I'm pretty happy with along with few other things I got from them. I just wish they wouldn't lose pop pressure so quickly, that's why some of us request higher pop pressure when ordering.
  24. What so special about their injectors do you know by a chance. Do they use some fancy nozzles and springs that don't lose pop pressure as fast or are they just aimed towards performance more somehow, spray angle etc. I mean 150 hp injector is 150 hp
  25. After I broke a bunch of little axle trucks I decided to go with bigger axles with lower gear ratio, that's why I posted the two videos, was basically agreeing with you that to do it right need correct ratios, plus these axles had kingpins and I never had any problems with joints I did brake an axle shaft, ended up putting chromoly axles in there later. It seems that the like button disappeared on that post, maybe all my posts
