  1. Some people do that to eliminate puke bottle on the front. Here we all simply followed @Mopar1973Man on his vent mod that cost around $10 I changed my gasket when I had the head off, never removed the vp. My old gasket wasn't leaking but it was cracking just matter of time, so I did it. Now it's a bit wet around it but not really leaking/dripping.
  2. You might want to do some research before you commit to it, seems too much shananigans going on with it. Now reports of nursing homes saying people are starting to drop dead after few weeks of getting it. Idk who to believe, I do believe if I feel fine there's no point in doing anything else. To each their own I guess.
  3. I'd stick with stock cover unless you want bling. mike's vent mod works great and no need for another one in the cover. I would not reuse oil from puke bottle, oil is cheap engine is not. If you're losing that much oil out of breather you got other issues like a vacuum leak. I would most definitely not grind on vp if anything I'd grind the cover.
  4. I lifted the bed with few straps and engine hoist, but I have a short box.
  5. This truck I slapped together in short time to go play had 2.5 ton duce axles with 6.72 ratio and 46" military tires that weren't light, but because of ratio I had no issues, just needed a front locker. This truck had same axles but instead of 46" I used 52" had to build a bbc for that one to compensate, still top speed was slower than before I swapped the axles, I believe I was close to 2800 rpm at 70mph, yeah I drove it on hwys my dream was to put a cummins in it. Life changed that. I don't have any regrets thought.
  6. I think this module should work good for you, 3/8 is plenty big for every day use.
  7. What you linked should work for you, but if you plan to update to a 1/2" lines then the 3/8 fitting gets drilled out and replaced with different bulkhead, at least that's how mine is. If you're going to use your factory lines that go to your sending unit now that module will work fine.
  8. I feel we leave in very interesting times, but then again every generation can probably say that. We all like to live in the past and our kids see this world as normal for the most part as they haven't experienced much of what older generation has. There is a lot to be said about where the humanity is heading with technology and everything else, it all seem to be going hand and hand, like it's been a plan for a long time. Which if you do look at alternative news sources you'll see that nothing is what we're told about this world. Who do you trust... It comes down to good people will still have moral values and try to do the right thing, although it seems that most are scared of what if and still obey to the mainstream media for the most part. Sad really..... Some are waking up, but to what? Seems there's too much information almost on purpose, how do you chose the right one, does it come down to good discernment, do you believe man or do you believe bible, if you do then we're living in some end times according to many. I believe there's definitely a war going on right now, whether it's information, spiritual or something else. People are divided in many ways keep fighting each other, how do we combat those who want to be gods here if we're all scared of a boogeyman. Those that made it in this life financially will keep bending the way they are told just to keep what they have, why would they go against the grain and lose everything they work so hard for, they just look the other way, even if they know in the back of their mind they may be next. So many quotes come to mind, like " those who are willing to trade freedom for security deserve neither" or " American people don't believe anything unless they see it on tel a lie vision" television programs are probably called programs because they are programming your mind. I can go on forever point is unless we all stand for the right thing, (and who's right thing?) Then we're doomed to repeat our mistakes. I blocked out what did I just say
  9. I would say nothing wrong with your axle, I'm not 100% sure how that vacuum crap works going through switches and other things, my actuator went bad a while back and I ended up getting a posi lock that uses a cable to lock cad in, haven't had problems since and now I get 2w low too. if you want to keep all your vacuum stuff, there is another way of having two wheel low by adding a vacuum switch. I'm guessing the switch on the transfer case might not send vacuum in 4 high but sends it in 4 low to lock cad. But I have no idea how that switch works, just a guess.
  10. It does sound like you might have some alternator issues that led to ECM damage. If you're not touching throttle/apps sensor, ECM is in control of idle. So if it goes to full throttle I'd say something going on there, but you do need to make sure you're apps isn't doing anything goofy with some sort of life data tool. Ac noise is easy to check but conditions have to be right and you have to use a good voltmeter cheap ones don't work. Check it with engine fully warmed up preferably after you drive it, park it and don't shut it off, take a good voltmeter set it on ac voltage, check it on the stud of the alternator with positive lead and you can go on the body of the alternator on the negative, make sure you're getting good solid connection. If you test it on batteries it will be a false reading because batteries act as a filter in the way and take some of that AC noise out, but it's still traveling through your system causing damage and funky behavior.
  11. We're supposed to get some good snow here, quad cities ia, in next day or so, saying could be up to a foot. Not a lot for some of you but good amount around here. Usually they exaggerate by half, it'll still be interesting, can't wait for my work commute 70 ml one way right through the center of higher promised accumulations. All the safe drivers will be out on the roads driving ford's. Funny thing is some of them drive extra careful before snow even starts coming down, just because they seen the news the slow down ahead of time oh it'll be fun ....
  12. Sorry meant to say idaho, well at least you're making money, that's good in this unknown economy/future.
  13. Looks like ohio is growing, same here lots of new construction I didn't have to cut my drag link at all still have about an 1" 1/2 gap between the links, I used mopar stuff.
  14. Meant to say need to have a good discernment.
  15. Autocorrect at it's best, it's trying to correct me after I hit the reply button.
  16. Use an ohm meter to test the buckle
  17. I agree with this to a point. You're still using stock fuel and timing maps that came with the truck, designed for stock turbo and injectors plus some emmisions. I can see how it would work decent if turbo/injectors combo is a good match, but for optimum performance tuning is where it's at. Each set up can be fine tuned with a quad much closer then relying on factory tune. Of course you can make it worse if you don't know what you're doing, and I'm not taking about you in particular just anyone that is messing with this stuff. I know my truck runs clean with more power and better mpg with a tune then with relying on ECM tune alone. Yes if I step on it I don't get good mpg but power is there, mpg is very delicate subject doesn't take much for it to go down the toilet.
  18. With new information come new decisions, having common sense and good disturbment helps along the way to make decisions.
  19. Same here, but I don't have near the miles on mine as you do on yours. It almost feels like it's time related too.
  20. Sounds like someone added a sensor there, I don't have any sensors in that location. Maybe it needs to be resealed with some teflon tape.
  21. I like flatbeds but I also like my topper, this way I can have things stored in there in trips. My box is slowly rotting away, I'm thinking of flatbed that I can put some sort of topper on.
  22. Sounds like it's sucking air, once tank had more fuel no problems.
  23. I'm definitely seeing an increase in it
  24. So much to be said, unfortunately everyone has their own truth. Ego is the biggest enemy of truth, not many can see past it. That and years of tv programming. "It's a big club and you're ain't in it"
