  1. Wife got a hybrid rav4 very similar to what you described @That Guy we took it on the trip to yellowstone this summer and it did well in all cases. Driving through the park we got an average of 45 mph, I was actually impressed.
  2. If it's cold out and fuel is geling motor will draw more amps and blow the fuse. Make sure your fuel is properly treated. If it has a lot of hours on the fass could be that the seal is wearing out and fuel is getting into the motor. To change filters just bump the key few times to let it cycle fuel through. I put ball valves on my pump before and after, this way I don't lose all the fuel out of lines, you can maybe use hose pliers and pinch them off. Not sure on your fuel system how it's put together.
  3. This is crazy, my step dad's 2000 Chrysler Town & country blower motor started making squealing noise yesterday and randomly quit working, so since I came over for dinner I had him get new motor and resistor before I got there, took me about 20 minutes upside down changing it and what I so is the blower has holes in it like you drilled only molded in plastic housing, but then it has another cover that covers the vhac box. Anyway I kept the old blower fan, new one came with it, maybe I'll give it a try, must of been meant to be you brought this up and few days later I have a squirrel cage now, I still have my old motor for the truck that changed last year along with resistor because motor was getting stuff, few drops of oil and it spins like new so I put new one in since I got one and put original one on the shelf, now it can be a guinea pig for this test. Van on left ours on right.
  4. Doesn't that fog up your windows more
  5. I want to know too... On the other hand I get this light to come on once in awhile when it rains, the plug is just hanging there, I did fill it full of dielectric grease, but still sometimes rain trips the light. Now your truck died at same time so you got something else going on, unless you were really able to plug that sensor in to ad. Or you have 2 separate issues.
  6. you did watch it, I mean you got to admit there's a lot of predictive programming in them movies...
  7. I believe volkswagen is putting up a bunch of charge stations as their punishment for diesel gate. But like Nick said there's a lot of loop holes and more than likely we'll be paying in the end as tax payers. Toyota is in top of technology, hydrogen fuel cells are looking promising, I believe tesla is in partnership with toyota on some of that. If you wached demolition man from 90s you can pretty much see our future there, or their future, I want no part of it.
  8. Fluid film oh man I'm a salesman for it now after getting some for myself. They just need to send me free samples now.
  9. Fluid film This was my exact strategy when looking
  10. Just wanted to add if you haven't popped four plugs on the backside of rockers and haven't cleaned in there for a while it's not a bad idea, I believe @Mopar1973Man brought that up in the past. Oh man I thought I had most of it cleaned out when I had cab corners off, I use the long piece of stiff wire and bend a hook on the end just scoop out as much as I could, then some shopvac and compressed air, looked clean enough then I decided to spray a bunch of degreeser (because previously I sprayed a bunch of motor oil in there) and hose it out, wow bunch more garbage came out. Now that it's clean I used some rust converter and a coat of paint with my home made spray nozzle, the last thing to do is drawn it in fluid film, believe me this stuff will be everywhere and I'm hoping that it works so I don't have to do this for a long time. I also did have a gap between the twin cab light housing and the body of a truck, when I pulled it off the gasket was wet, inside of the cavity it didn't look rusty or wet, but for safe measures I threw away the gasket and used some exterior window and door for a house cuz that's all I had won't be leaking now if it did before.
  11. I'll kI've worked on enough POS in my life that's how I came to a conclusion that I need a cummins for an engine, just happened to be in the Dodge body. This is part of the reason I got new venture6 speed, new processed tcase, with Dana axles. The least I could do to lower the blow below the belt buckle. Now if I was dynamic I'd be happy with an automatic I suppose. Originally I was looking for a 2003 excursion with 7.3 or f350 4 door....... stupid fiat didn't know how to make a 4 door at the time, well I couldn't find any decent ford's and this truck came up out of nowhere, was a spear of the moment thing, grabbed cash just in case drove it guy wanted it gone said make an offer and so now I have a dodge, but it does have a cummins in it. I do like it just wish it was a 4 door, maybe I'll get a excursion/suburban one day and stuff this thing in it.
  12. I got a package that's been at local post office for 5 days now according to tracking and it's saying will be delivered tomorrow. I think they have a deal with amazon where all that gets delivered first then the rest of stuff
  13. I think if you're have a cad axle then the ring that locks it in needs to be in certain position or it can fall off, then you'll need to open the cover and put it on. You're on driver side so should be fine, I don't remember doing anything special when I changed mine aside from the cad part. I got original spicers from local rebuilder, I believe they get better quality parts as they do it for a living.
  14. Well, Marry Christmas, hope it works as good as the price. We'll be waiting for reviews
  15. If your talking bed liner, I got some of this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Automotive-15-oz-Black-Truck-Bed-Coating-Spray-6-Pack-248914/202938587?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&mtc=Shopping-B-F_Brand-G-Multi-NA-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-Catchall_PLA&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_Brand-G-Multi-NA-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-Catchall_PLA-71700000014585962-58700001236285396-92700052972852914&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiAifz-BRDjARIsAEElyGJGsDea59olBdR-_y0H-96N2mdzBT0EsNEMJ0kaMOGXiiGuTCYGvRMaAqZQEALw_wcB Not sure if I'd use it as bed liner thought but should work on bottom of the truck I hope.
  16. I remember few screwes that were not as fun, I left them out when I reassembled everything, nothing bad happened so far.
