  1. Here I am on the pooper making another state trooper
  2. I put in an electronic flasher from parts store when I changed to led bulbs.
  3. I did the tape measure one, seems to work good with no abnormal wear. As close to 0 toe as I could do.
  4. Where are the signatures, I haven't seen them in a while
  5. I'll have to admit I used half a can of stop leak, been working fine for past two years now. Some day I'll probably just change everything in system and start over.
  6. Do you have 1/2" lines all through out or just bigger lines in and factory out. If so that your problem in psi swings.
  7. @JHFIII clean wiring not like nasa rats nest. @Tractorman wow so much snow already, it's 70 in iowa today still sitting by the fire. Probably last nice weekend of that thought. Been really windy lately here.
  8. I want to say I payed $130 at local cummins place, came with harness adapter.
  9. I say sure poop happens, and no we don't have to go to a different store to correct the issues, but and this is a big but... like plastic surgery big, once we make our complaints known, we can only hope that they work them selves up the ladder to the source so it gets corrected. If it doesn't, then nothing is going to help any of us in the long run and crap will keep being made cheaper if we keep buying it. Wee can make a difference if we try, but it's getting harder to do as the years go by. Seems that nothing is made to last any longer, 10 years tops. No big outfit is thinking long term for second and third owners anymore, it's all about quarterly sales now make it look good on the books. So yes we can make a difference but need to be making sure our thoughtsoney are getting higher than a salesman. How do we do that is another subject, I'm not too bright for that. To add to this, at work I hired a contractor to do some work for us. It took them 20 minutes on site, I get a bill for 2 hours at 350 an hour. I called the owner and said me and you been in this together for 12 years now, how do you think I feel when I see this bill. Long story short, he's adjusting his invoice to make it right. Still I shouldn't remind him of this. How else do make it right. Others are by far worse at what they do and more dishonest. It sucks but if we don't say anything then nothing will get better.
  10. I'm my opinion if money isn't too tight get a bigger shaft and clutch. Shaft's don't break in normal use but if let's stay you're putting down extra horse power and all the sudden bite traction, that's when carnage happen. My step dad has a 4rner and it has 5.29 axle ratios, running 35"s never had a problem until 1 day crawling up a steep hill on some boulders, one of the tires must have slipped and bit traction, loud pop and ring gear was missing 3 teeth. If you ease into it from the stop and get going then hammer it down, probably don't need anything special, it's the rare occasion that things break. I don't think you can do much to the clutch and sounds like you might be pushing more horsepower than your clutch can handle anyhow, might as well put something better in. Not sure what to tell you on dual disc, I believe that's what my truck has( po put it in), it is slow to shift and a little noisy when the tranny is warmed up, but it does grab. Someday I'll need to make a decision on this myself.
  11. Which transmission are we talking about, if 45 then no need to overfill. If 56 I was told to overfill by someone that rebuilds them, 1 qt over, you can drive in the ditch or take out shifter tower which is what I do. I add more than 1qt because of filter on one side and cooler on the other. Last 4 years I did that no I'll effects, but I only put around 10k a year if that. Filter I got is from quad 4x4 https://torqueking.com/product/1000/qk1000-manual-trans-filter-kit/ Fast cooler offers some too, but was too big next to my 5" exhaust. https://torqueking.com/product/661015/qk1015-filter-and-double-cooler-kit-for-manual-transmissions/ From what I can figure, filter needs to be on passenger side so I went with cooler on driver side and smaller filter on driver.
  12. Depends on the year, I believe in 01 they went with bigger input shaft so you'll need a bigger clutch. Personally I would upgrade to a bigger shaft now and go with bigger clutch unless you get the later model 56. And like @dripley mentioned driveshafts, bell housing that should come with the trans, maybe cross member. I like amsoil in mine, haven't had any issues with it and it's twice cheaper then dealer stuff and little more then pennzoil if you get an account at amsoil. I just signed up for half a year and got enough stuff to last 5 years, then I'll do it again. I also like my filter, just serviced it few months ago after 4 years and it trapped a lot of brass and oil was clean so I know it works. I also overfill mine to top side holes of pto cover.
  13. I think it's been outside for decades before I bought it 15 years ago, been in the garage since but moisture took its toll. All the gears are cleaning up nice just need some bearings and seals. All of the important pieces are in great shape. Not sure what I'll do if it's yet, may just assemble it back together with some grease packed all over and put it back under the shelf or sell it as parts, don't really feel like buying a bunch of stuff for something I probably won't use.
  14. I've seen fee videos on nv5600 and feel pretty confident that I can do it, looks straight forward to me. I'm actually rebuilding np200 right now just to exercise my brain, had it for 15 years. Got 2 of them when building my mud truck never blew the first one up so I still have it. Tore it apart and it's actually all brand new inside aside from bearings are seized up and yolks are shot. This must have been a military surplus unit that never got used.
  15. Sorry to hear about everyone's troubles. Yes life is like a box of chocolates for sure, just never know what's next. I like all the good spirited people here that don't give up, if you start to give up that's when it goes downhill. Need something to look forward to to keep us all going, whether it's family, hobbies, or even working on our trucks. It seems to me that what's happening in the world right now was pretty much planned to take out weakest first, then work up the ladder. A lot of us survive on hopes and dreams and when we are limited in what we can do/plan, it starts to take its toll. Stay strong everyone, never give up.
  16. From my own experience I can say 7x10 at 320bar with mild set up is where it's at. To each their own, but I had few different types/sizes of injectors in my truck and by far what I have now I love best. Thanks @Me78569 @Mopar1973Man for doing all the work. Got to add, it won't be as good without quad and v2 tuning that @Me78569 put so much time in.
  17. Works good just wish the gauge was more accurate about 3-4 psi off digital and scale a 100 instead of 200 for better accuracy. Other than that I like it. Had to run 3 lines in the cab on my set up, one that I tied in to the air tank ( my rear bumper ) and 2 to the bags. I just used T's on the bags that way I can still use schrader valves or the switches. Btw these switches bleed air out in to the cab when you lower pressure, which is I figured they would do. To mount I used a long hose clamp and attached it to the rear view camera monitor. There are posts missing including a link to this switch, here is number for the guage set up, couldn't attach the link. 26229-200 psi airlift
  18. You're leaving on the edge man ... I'm joking of course
  19. Ok I see, sorry I didn't know probably because I wasn't here much few months ago. Hope you get it straightened out, or I can do my patch job have few cans left. We can upgrade you to 3rd gen breaks too
  20. What happened to your fender
  21. Yeah lots of posts disappeared. Head studs are always a good idea I believe it has more to do with high timing, load at lower rpm. So if you drive nice you should be fine without studs till you get over 400ish hp. Jmo
  22. It's a pressure line that's what pushes waste gate open, and the spring inside the wastegate is what pushes back to close it.
  23. I just did a quick Google search not sure if this is correct https://www.google.com/search?q=2001+ram+2500+cummins+obd+plug+linout&oq=2001+ram+2500+cummins+obd+plug+linout&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i10i160l2.20135j0j7&client=ms-android-google&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=JUjgMyECavuPgM
