  1. 1. mine is on the tranny pan sorry cant help.2. Yes it runs from the exhaust up to the wire harness over the engine back into the truck.3. The fuse box in the cab. I use the one that dims with the lights so at nite the new gauges dont blind me and they blend with the dash lights.3a.#6 is the hottest thats the one you want the probe in.
  2. Are you sure you dont have liquid on any fitting or line. I have a 01 and mine are looking real crusty.I would also look over everything around the vac pump you repaired.
  3. It will expand, the fluid that is. Your converter holds a few quarts. I would get it up to temp and drive it. Take a few quarts with you and go 5 to 10 miles pull over and check it. Go some more than do the same.
  4. Thats a nice boat. I seen one of them a few years ago. I asked the owner how big is this monster,he smiled a mile wide and said 39 and 1/2.
  5. It seems all the nit pickers call on what kind of dyno the tests were on. I would like to go to several in one day and compare. But still the nit pickers would say "but look at the barometric pressure and air temp difference"I understand in all factuality it will make a difference ever so slightly. To me a dyno is a good tool to tune and find a power base. I also fine the free tricks are the best. Nice post thanks.
  6. That's a bummer. 2 days ago i needed a 5 gal diesel can. You should see what i have to do to use this crazy thing. Why cant they just leave stuff alone ?

  8. Yes, the baldwin filter top is machined with a cone type compared to the flat top fleetguard. The little rubber gaskets are vary close in size. The 1212 fit perfect. I feel better with the baldwin, winters comming. My next move is the fuel filter.Is the donaldson p569381 the same as the hf6604 ?
  9. How did the boot look ? Are the clamps still on ? Mine moves with a small amount of pushing. Once you get the boot off you will see splines you can put pb blaster or wd 40 into.

  11. The justice one is funny. The guy i use to work with was a real hell rat as a kid. In the 70's He would shoot his gun in the city park at nite,race his car..just a mellow trouble maker. One day he came up to his ma and said "oh ma, my kid is driving me crazy he beat on his class mates, talks back to his teachers. I just dont know what to do any more" She said "good for you (as she shakes her fist at him) Do you know the trouble i had with you? DO YOU? It's good for you". I was rolling on the floor laughing because i knew of his youth.

  13. I have a fass 150. When i change it i will post a picture of the rubber washer.
  14. I am going to try bf 1212. I see that the rubber gasket is shorter than the fleetguards. Is the filter housing machined different ?
  15. Oh let me tell you ,the fass at the time was 4 years old, the motor was almost as loud as the 24v. Funny thing the psi was the same.
  16. Is your airdog a 150/150? how do you like it. I converted my fass 95/150 to a 150/150 when the motor started going south. They look the same. How much noise does it make when you turn the key? My old fass started getting loud. Real loud! The new 150 pump they sent me is quiet.

  23. It is a good weekend project forsure. You could call a diesel shop and ask them how much labor time is. They are faster because they do it all the time. For me i am 2 to 4 hrs longer than them. You can make the dowl kit your self i can post a picture of them if you wish. The cam tray you can get from cummins it is around 300.00. I used a friends. You can also make one.
  24. I dont know if you know this but a dss stabilizer is not the shock connected to the steering arm. It ties the front end together with the steering box and that helps death wobble you have at 60 mph.
