Installed New Exhaust
While bleeding my rear brakes in the spring I noticed that the back of my muffler had rusted out and the section of pipe going over the axle was dangling by the hangers. I bought a 4" Diamond Eye w/no muffler and a FTE 4"X30" Resonator. I also bought a few preformed band clamps from FTE, I wasn't sure how many I would need, I ordered 8. The old system came out easy, I sprayed the bolts securing the downpipe to the turbo with PB Blaster a couple of times before starting the install. And I had no problem getting them out. The exhaust kit was great, all of the hangers in the kit were correct. The resonator does come with band clamps on each side, I didn't realize this, but I am glad it did or I would have been short. It took 2 hours to install and it sounds great

order of reliability improvements/over heating
No need to pull the fan to take the radiator out. Remove the shroud, drain the fluid, disconnect the upper and lower hoses, remove battery cable. I think there are 4 bolts that hold the radiator in. It is a real simple process. Might as well change the thermostat while you have the fluid changed--unless you've done that recently.

order of reliability improvements/over heating
The A/C will kick on and off in all vent selections except dash only vents and floor only vents. If that makes sense, no matter if you have hot or cold selected. An anti freeze leak out to be easy to detect, how much fluid are you losing?

Coolant & Trans temp issues
I fought a cooling issue for too long. The radiator looked clean when it was installed. it wasn't until I actually pulled it out that I realized out plugged it was. It was a simple and cheap fix.

EXHAUST NOISE drone
I am looking at ordering mine either today or tomorrow. Did it come with the clamps? What length did you get?

Wheel Cylinder or Axle Hub Seal Leak
How often are you filling the brake fluid? Those wheel cylinders are easy and cheap to change, I just did mine of both sides.

Diamond eye exhaust
Great, thanks for the info. Mine should be here next week.

Diamond eye exhaust
I am putting in my order for a new exhaust this week. I am planning on the 4" diamond eye. My plan is to add the FTE resonator. How many of the flat band exhaust clamps did you use? I figure I might as well order them as well. Any regrets or things you would do different?

Another VP44 Question
If your truly worried about your fuel pressure it may be wise to verify that your readings are accurate. It is odd that your pressure has so much fluctuation from idle to cruising down the highway. My fuel boss pressure doesn't change, pretty solid. Though, I wouldn't suspect that that would cause IP issues.

Roof Mount Gun Rack
Honestly, I don't care for people to know that I have a gun. I have never understood the notion of storing guns in plain sight, they are too expensive and maybe a temptation for a thief--and I feel more protected if nobody knows I have one. I'm with you for not putting them in the back window.

Roof Mount Gun Rack
Do you lower the seat back when the guns are on the rack? It doesn't look like there is anything to hold them in there.

Tow Mirrors
My truck didn't come with tow mirrors. The original mirrors were power and heated. I bought factory tow mirrors from Rock Auto and they are powered and heated. Rock Auto also offers tow mirrors that are not powered. A lot of people have complained about tow mirrors shaking so much they are unusable, I have not had that problem with mine.

low power and trouble rev'ing
Have you tried removing your Edge Comp? How about fuel pressure? or bad fuel or a dirty fuel filter??
-
Tow Mirrors
I replaced my with the fold out/extended style. I got them from rock auto, I think I paid $112 for each side. Mine are heated and powered and have had no issues with them. I am not sure how these were never standard issue on the dullys.

Here almost 20 years and.....
It is possible that you are just not seeing them but they are around. But do a search for CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder). The world's population of honey bees is on the decline.

Window Deflector
How good is the quality of weatherTec? Is it just an adhesive tape that secures them to the window frame?

Window Deflector
There was some talk on here about window deflectors a while ago. My B day is coming up and I thought I would put it on my wish list. Is there a brand or style that is better than others? What are your recommendations?

ugh, what now...
That's pretty close to how mine looked. Looking down at the radiator while it was installed you wouldn't have known it. Pull it and check, easy to do.

ugh, what now...
My truck was over heating when pulling a trailer. On grades, as the EGT increased, so would coolant temp. Looking at the radiator it looked clear but I pulled it any way and I was surprised how plugged it was--similar to the picture floating around this site. I soaked it in degreaser and pressure washed it, carefully, and I have never had any other issues. Easy too, the radiator takes very little to pull.

Help Lost my MPG
How about other things like tire condition and air pressure? Do you have a brake that is dragging? Air filter condition? Could it be bad fuel?

Teardown and Rebuild

Stay away from doctors?
Fortunately for us we can pick and choose our doctors. Some, are great doctors but not so good on the business side and even worse with people skills. And some are just bad doctors. I lived in Brazil for a time and we didn't have a choice. We got who we got and there wasn't a whole lot of incentive to be a good doctor. Sorry for your bad experience and best of luck with your arm...and getting older.
