47RE Valve Body removal
Take your time. The hardest part is that stupid E clip. make sure you have a backup clip haha. I have lost more of those stupid little things than anything else. While Auto Trannies as a hole can be "scary" remember, its only one bolt at a time. Each part of the tranny really isn't that complex. Good Luck and remember take your time.

47RE Valve Body removal
It is Beyond easy to do. -Drop the pan / drain fluid ( put a trans pan plug while you have it off) -Remove the "e" clip holding the park rod in place - undo the TV lever from the top of the rooster comb - Undo the Bolts holding hte VB in. ( keep in mind you will drain another 3-4 quarts of fluid) - drop the vb.

The time has come to produce the Mopar1973Man High Idle & MPG fooler switches again.
Well Gang, The Board of Directors on the Mopar1973Man.com has decided that we need to produce some new High Idle Switches for the 2nd gen 24V Cummins. We have spent a considerable amount of time designing a Brand New High Idle / MPG fooler Switch. We have learned from the last switch design and have made significant improvements. The New High Idle / MPG Fooler switch will be the same price as before, but it will be more robust and modular to allow for easier install. We have decided to only offer a "Install Anywhere Kit" rather than a gauge mount or Cubby Mount. You will nly have to drill one 1/4" hole to allow for the fitment of the switch. Some teaser pictures. We are making 50 switches to start then another run of 50 after that. You can order them from The Mopar1973Man.com Store I expect to have them ready to ship within a 6 week time.

He351ve stand alone Arduino controller code for 2nd Gen Cummins
Yea, I know what I want it to do, but I am still building the code in my brain, and working through the issues.

No more at x turbo rpm be at x position. More so if turbo is gaining speed do this or slowing down do this. Not sure how I want to do that yet, but I have been thinking about it.

I really need to spend some time working on this again, but life has been too busy. I keep thinking the top end control of the turbo needs to be more dynamic.

Diagram for Oiling system
the oil pressure gauge in the truck dash is a dummy gauge. It isn't good for anything. I wouldn't worry, if you want put a mech gauge in to verify, but I don't think I have ever heard of a oil pump going back in one of these trucks, provided of course that the truck has had it's oil changed haha.

New Turbo?
cw would be a good choice if the OP wants some more go. However why not get a rebuild kit for your turbo? Cheap and easy.

Motor quits, cranks over but won't start.
Do you know what your fuel pressure is pre-vp44? I would also hot wire the vp44 http://www.bluechipdiesel.com/vp44_diagnostics.html If you are seeing "No-Bus" then i would also VERIFY all fuses. Clean all leads to the battery.

Cooper coil on exhaust manifold
I'd say it greatly depends I know in my setup 2:1 (or more)in low boost situations is needed. Once the turbo is going good it levels out to 1:1 pretty quick. I can tune the ratio better, but spool is is way worse.

I should taken a picture, but for less than $500 total, plates cups food etc etc etc, we fed about 100 people. Everyone said it was good, so I will mark it off as a successful.....plus now I am hitched- He351ve stand alone Arduino controller code for 2nd Gen Cummins
Well made another trip up the pass. Had about 3k less in the trailer and ambient Temps were about 30*f less. Temps didn't come above 200*f Dunno if it was me cleaning the radiator or Temps being lower. Oh well- Strange ABS issues
My Lifetime warranty water pump seem to go out about every 30k haha. So that is how often I flush coolant.- mystery wire
Mike, They might have used that wire to power the gauge. If there was a short in the gauge you might see an issue. I doubt that is the case, but it is possible.- Cooking for a small army
Onions are cut, garlic peeled and cut. Another #20 of pork done. Crock pots are now idle. Picking up green beans in the AM, and cutting potatos tomorrow night.- He351ve stand alone Arduino controller code for 2nd Gen Cummins

coolant got somewhere around 230*f Pass I was driving is is about a 3,000' elevation increase pretty good grade. 45mph speed limit with a kansas person doing 25mph ugh. as soon as I was able to get going 35-40 mph temps dropped to 220f* - Cooking for a small army
