  2. man mines starting to pop fuses as well now google on that doesn't look good
  3. If you can get 15k for it with 158k miles Id jump on it. I have a 114k miles 2000 4x4 long bed with a $9k tranmission, new paint and tires and heavily modified and I would get around $18k. Point is more thats a great price for a near stock truck with that many miles ..... typically closer to $10-$12k depending on condition. Since you want a long bed - I jump out of it and do it. good luck.
  4. How many miles on your 02 ? If you can get 15k I'd probably make the jump. But you'll put as much money in either. I'll never get out of my 2nd gen though unless it's to go to a 1st gen.
  5. Check out the heavy duty track bar St dodge off road
  6. Time to go to builder You can check AC noise, apps voltage and throttle linkage.
  7. I don't think it vents. The cap is normally near air tight but haven't checked to see if o-ring or just cap .... Shuttle shift won't have anything to do with this
  8. http://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/3370?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22HR+3370%22%5D%7D Bill was passed by senate. Means rates will increase, but much more in line with a sustainable rate based on coverage. Other options coming to forefront to with private market. Im not a realtor/insurance person but my own take on this (as I'm looking to invest in FL have sold our MO property) is that this will have an uptrend in sales and prices purely as it puts a bit of a known reference to insurance costs. There will be a few months sorting it out I am sure. Good news.

  10. Well 13.5 degrees is your baseline ... no ? Just thinking the extra timing may help with your mpg ... can always set it back
  11. No you'll stress that turbo before the pump. The turbo limits around 500hp .. The pump around 650. I'd go with the superb as it's easily upgradeable .... The he351cw is a little harder especially for twins if you want to change secondary down road
  12. Most require cores and most are aftermarket.
  13. Wonder if its breaking up ...... did you bump up the timing ?
  14. Just click on the info of that video - he confirms it there .... monster vp pump
  15. Thats johnny at stainless Diesel - he uses mikes pump ....... pretty sure
  16. Should be fine ........ but Id go with bigger injectors and timing box like a powerpuck - that way not stressing your vp44 Only vp44 that will do over ~ 650 is the modified custom builds ... Monster Mike etc. I've heard hotrods going an extra 50-100hp ... but never seen any good threads on it (like actual dyno sheets). Mainly just hear about bad lope and cold starts. If you want more than 650 - you really have to ppump or monster mike pump. He had problems with a few of his setups too .... but think they are much more stable now (plus he lifetime warranties it). HOVP44 <SOVP44 <=HRVP <MONSTERMIKE PUMP < PPUMP (You can hit higher numbers on a vp44 if you spray) - but same for other pumps.
  17. Killer b is almost too much turbo in compounds for a vp44. If your thinking twins I'd start with the Super B as bill said .... lots of options later and it will support 450hp+ as a single A Super B over a s400 frame 72mm or 75mm probably get you 600-650 hp which is about as far as the vp44 will fuel
  18. Thanks Tom Yes found 0v at idle and barely had to touch it to get to 0.5v ... adjusted linkage as best I could and now lockup under low throttle seems normal ..... have to wait a few days to be sure. That linkage is kinda crazy how a few turns really impact voltage and transmission behavior. Should probably be added to the TC lockup thread for those that don't have AC noise. I'm not seeing AC spikes ..... Might have to pull the fuse to be sure ..... 80% fixed for now
  19. Only difference to what john said is I wouldn't spend the 1k on having it rebuilt ... At that point you'd be better getting into a 62/65/12 ....my 2 cents since you don't have the fuel or clutch fir over 500hp the he351cw would be a good match and $300 for good condition under 100k miles
  20. So I think I'm on the right page for my next issue...... but alay me if Im not. 2000 Dodge Ram with PPUMP and 12v throttle linkage with TPS. Getting p0122 and p0121. I have 5v at the TPS on idle (outsiode wires). I need to check the center circuit for voltage there. Also through throttle range. Beyond that ???? Dont want to replace a $200 sensor for no reason ...... I started looking at this as my TC wont lockup at low throttle positions ...... and Im pretty sure its related to this ....
  21. Does this mean there might be a glitch that will bump me from lost family to super moderator ? yay beem me up
  22. .... figured but wasn't quite sure picked up a good multimeter from harborfreight so will have to check it out ........ suprised at quality Recommend to anyone looking. http://www.harborfreight.com/5-in-1-digital-multimeter-98674.html Suprising how much cleaning the terminals helped ....... with a wire brush cleaner .....
