Towing without gauges
The EGT question will be all over the board. With your setup you’ll be fine temp wise just don’t lug it. Keep it around or above 2k on climbs and it’ll keep temps down.

Everyone post a picture of your truck!
Im getting ready to throw mine in as well.

Winterize fuel, high cetane
Could you expand on that a bit? What brand? How much? How often?

Winterize fuel, high cetane
Interesting. Looking forward to the results

Curt Hitch
Could you post a pic of how it sits looking directly back at the truck? It seems to put the receiver a little higher then stock. That sounds right?

Thanks for letting us know. I've been planning on getting that same hitch once the time came. Glad to hear it's working out well.

Boost gauge hookup
That’s the spot Mike prefers, hence why he took a pic of it! Lol I put mine in the same spot just to avoid the boost bolt up top getting in the way or cracking or somethin.

Fuel and Boost Pressure, what is good?
Well that’s what I get for not looking at what section I’m replying to! ?♂️

Fuel and Boost Pressure, what is good?
Boost sounds about right for a wastegated HY, and possibly a stock injectors truck with an HX. What trans are you running? Fuel pressure doesn’t sound normal to me. What lift pump are you running? Where is it being measured?

DT/DOR track bar
I have 1in spacers. They were adjusted and set for when I had 2in spacers and were within 1/8in so I left them as is when I went down to 1in. Front axle appears aligned to me still.
-
DT/DOR track bar
34in for the bar (not including threads or locknuts) 38-1/8th from center bolt to center bolt Both are approximates give or take a bit but that’s about as close as I could get measuring/holding myself.

DT/DOR track bar
I can try and get you that info but it may be a while. @trreed is a lot more nimbly bimbly then me and could probably check quicker for ya!

Hard to start
I’ve replaced everything up front and still the only time it’ll happen is when fuel is below 1/2 tank or so pointed uphill.
-
Hard to start
Like I mentioned, it’s only my theory but it’s the only thing that makes sense for the issues I’m seeing. One of these days I’ll add the longer tube and see if that fixes it or not.

Hard to start
I think @dripley hit the nail on the head in that it’s above most everything else but other then that I haven’t got a better explanation and that’s why I said I can only assume it’s his issue. In my findings it seems that my ‘hard start’ issues only occur when pointed uphill with 1/2 tank of fuel or less and here’s what I think my issue is. This is my fuel module The shortest tube you see hanging down is the return from the head and VP. Heres my depiction of what my tank looks like full on level ground. Here it is full with nose pointed up. Here it is with 1/2 tank of fuel on level ground. And lastly here it is with a 1/2 tank with nose pointed up. As you can see, all the hoses in all other situations are submerged in fuel except the final one, so my theory is if I were to extend that tube further into the module, my problem should go away. Back to the OPs issue, it seems since his VP and head return at the very top of the module that he’s experiencing the same issues I am. Granted I have yet to verify my findings due to pure laziness and it finding an adequate hose to replace my current one with so I’ve just left it be for now.

Hard to start
Well that’s what I think your problem is. That would also explain why it doesn’t change anything with a full tank of gas. Basically with that hole all the way at the top of the module there’s always a ‘gap’ where fuel isn’t covering that hole and once you’re stopped air seeps back in causing the hard start. If you were able to get a tube to connect that hole and extend it down to the bottom of the basket I believe your issue would be solved.

So this is your fuel return for the FASS unit correct? Not for stock return line from the fuel T and back of the head right?

47RE advice
Im not sure if the timbo would fix it or not, was just throwing out ideas. Sorta sounds like maybe you’re not getting enough line pressure or somethin in OD but I feel like that should’ve been fixed with the valve body from Goerend. @Dynamic is the best source of info for this though. I’m sure he’ll chime in soon enough if we keep tagging him!

Quadzilla on a stock truck
I completely understand your point and agree. In my very limited ‘testing’ compared to your extensive amount, the best way I was able to describe it was with smaller injectors you need more wiretap to get the truck moving the same as you would with the bigger injectors. The power comes on hard when wiretap kicks in but it’s much more linear with bigger injectors as in smooth solid power all the way up the rpms. I sorta like knowing I have the wiretap power there when I need it but with that being said I don’t really use it in my daily driving.

Quadzilla on a stock truck
Gotcha. I think if I had studs and didn’t mind possibly breaking things (cough @trreed cough) I would’ve gone bigger on the injectors. Weston recommended that size so I took his advice and they’ve worked great for me. I really just want a solid tow rig right now but you can definitely scoot pretty good. I’d have to double check but I believe my fueling is starting at 109 and I can’t get smoke so I’m slowly going to increase until I find the limit.

47RE advice
I think I’d agree with you in that if it's a Goerend authorizes dealer they should be putting out a solid product, so I wouldn’t worry much there. What seems weird is that the issue was there before and after your new trans so it definitely seems like somethings up with the truck/electrical, not the trans. I know you said you checked it with the snapon but any codes now? Have you rechecked the AC voltage correctly? Is your APPS stock as well? What?!?!?

Quadzilla on a stock truck
Would you say the same with the 7x0.010’s and an HX? Only curious because I believe all your testing was with the HE only right?
-
Hard to start
Sounds good. If I’m understanding your previous question I’d answer yes, but I know Eric would say otherwise based off the many talks we’ve had about this. I’ll leave it at that for now until we can take a look at yours and know for sure.

Hard to start
Can you post a pic of your module if you have it removed? You might be experiencing exactly what I am.

Quadzilla on a stock truck
I definitely agree with this but to be clear this has an upper limit as well as limited somewhat to what turbo you’re running and altitude. My 7x0.012’s with the little HX ran fine and pulled well but no where near as nice and clean and hard as my HX with 7x0.008 with wiretap though. Not saying you’re incorrect Nick, just making sure people get there’s a limit.
