The Future of Trucks
Last month Trying to google up some info on wife's crv and ended up on a .UK web forum. There was a diesel section for crv's. Seems after you translate from liters to gallons they get better mileage. Can't get small diesel in U.S. though. I wonder why not?

HAPPY FIREWORKS
Yes... I get assaulted every 4th. Neighbor sends up his incendiary devices, some land on roof. They could care less. Guy down couple blocks found a cab from a l&n series Ford. He says I can have 1 air tank and horns. Along with steel fuel tank. Going to hook up horns some way and say good morning to my pyromaniac neighbor with new play toy. Neighbor on other side is fireman. He always works the 4th. Said his wife called him and cops 3 times. He told her to get motel to get some sleep. I'm on half acre...still not big enough. Glad I'm not the only one.

New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
Friendly reminder. Before you tow anything heavy... check max load of your new tires, stamped on sidewall and actual load. Leaving at least 10 percent bewteen those numbers for safety. Dont think you mentioned the load range of new tires?

Replaced Driver's Seat Cushion
I got one from geno's. My actual seat cover had a hole and starting to grow. So I took down to local auto upholstery that been in town for years and couple generations. And I wanted to see if they could work some magic on the seat cover. He took a look at cushion and compared it to what he gets. He was very impressed with cushion. He called geno's to find out more their cushions, thinking it was Genoa cushions or similar. Geno,s said only have what's on their web site and not multitudes of cushions for various cars. Geno,s told them its geno,s garage not geno,s cushions? P.s. fixed my little tear but he said tear will start again in couple years of use.

New Turbo Or Rebuild HY35
Same here. But the price of new ones scares me more. Just tax is over 5 grand. State can survive without me buying a new one. You might want to fill in signature line that lists what you have including mods. When you ask something people can give better answers if they know what you have. Just my 2 cents

New Turbo Or Rebuild HY35

How to test fan clutch?
When you first posted I thought maybe good idea to check mine out. Most I can spin mine around with little bit of force is about 3 turns max. Maybe I'm looking at wrong thing in manual????? VISCOUS DRIVE... If the fan assembly free-wheels without drag (the fan blades will revolve more than five turns when spun by hand), replace the fan drive. This spin test must be performed when the engine is cool. (That's all I know... I thought they were controlled with actual fan clutch via wire to some kind of temp switch.)

Lug nut torque
(5pages when searched here on term lug or nut. But not "lug nut torque). Service manual states 135 for 2500. 135 I hope isn't a typo. Does 135 sound right for stock alum rim?. To me sounds like to much. 135 a good number? Hate to do doubt the manual but.....

New Turbo Or Rebuild HY35
My gauges in "A" pillar pod mount. My fuel pressure light used to come at 5 psi. Not good and got me in $$$ trouble. Now comes on when below 15 psi. I changed pressure switch. Mine is 24 valve. Not sure what you if have. I'm just up by seatac. I see you are close.

No traction on the boat ramp! What!?!
I get stuck in my side yard when hooked up to trailer with about 800 pounds tongue weight if one tire is a low spot of about 6 inches or more. If on hard surface usually no problem. 2 wheel drive. Says Dana 70 limited slip. Talking with axle shop. He said certain limited slip inbbn our era might have what is called "corporate " gears inside even though in Dana housing. Don't know if fact or fiction. Lockers for axle aren't cheap but maybe on upgrade list someday. I put in some gravel where I get stuck and today is about 2 or 3 inches uneven... no problem. Also added some friction stuff to diff. Seemed to help. Also mine is not user friendly to hook up tow strap little alone chain. Tow hooks were an option I think but I can't seem to find any that will bolt on. Seems I can't win. Got my 01 after my 87 Ford hand front wheel drive had problems. But at least in my dodge front hub stays on.

Map Light Repair & LED Lights for the interior
Not sure if right bilb was in there or not. Pulled light assembly out and got new along with led. Don't remember size. Showed wife melted light cover so she would be ok with replacing all lights with led. My way of justifying spending that much? She is retired building manager. Hospital was going remodel a floor. GE sent her to Cleavland and showed her how led,s and some tax perc's that a remodel with led's would pay for themselves over a certain amount of time. Just the exit signs on 14 floors had big pay off. But at house I spend to get led's and I'm mad when one goes out way before it's time.

Map Light Repair & LED Lights for the interior
I went to led's in our RV even when using campground electric. Reason was with an old style bulbs I accdently turned on my light when getting something out of my past thru compartment in our RV (daylight hours) and didn't notice I turned on light. Couple days later packing up to go, opened up compartment and plastic light cover was all melted and wood above light had sunburn marks. Not sure if that was normal for light to get that hot. Maybe a closed compartment makes a difference?

Is it me, or do I see more Duramaxes running away than other diesel vehicles??
Brace yourself to come to work some day and gone... along with all your stuff you keep in it. Some auction company got to our corp and couple months later guys from Africa showed up and would cut them apart and stuff valuable parts in a contanier and import into their country as "used machinery" to get around their customs. My old one just had in'frame and couple other things done. Corp bean counter put her on chopping block. But what was fun to watch was the guys with newer power units and Corp took some away to give to smaller terminals not running very much miles. Big crocodile tears?

Mixing Grease
"Marine" grease just a little bit more water and corrosion stuff if I recall right. It's the "base" material you might have problems with if mixed. If both lithium based no worries. National grease and lube has good faq on there site, if you can't sleep. Base material and dropping degrees are the biggies imo. ?? I wonder if chicken grease varies in viscosity if chicken raised cage free or not.

Battery charging question
So "equalizing" batteries is a type of charging. By the name "equalze" I assumed hooking up charger so both batteries got the same "equal" charge rate, in a series so to speak. Can I charge by hooking up pos post on battery and neg on other battery?

Battery charging question
Not trouble shooting. Just that it has sat so long barely turned over to start it. And my Ford 5.4 with smaller battery didn't but it only has one. And battery wouldn't turn over. My charger is noco genius g3500 and has a "12V repair 1.5A" normal is 3.5A I'd measure with hydrameter but can't find it.

Battery charging question
(Forgive me if I asked this before) Make any difference which battery I charge up to?

Changing coolant via block drain
Thanks ... yes install peacocks. I must admit it didn't enter my mind about the threads. About how much of a slope? And being on a slope, no problems in heater core? It gets flushed out also?
