Posi Lock Cable
yeah, it makes it kinda nice when you need that slow, low gear, but on hard surface (like backing up a big trailer, etc.)

Posi Lock Cable
I've put them on Jeeps. They seem to work just fine; it isn't a real issue, AFAIK.the other nice think is, you can use it as a 2L transfer case option.. Engaging 4L, but not the front axle.. ;)

Photography - Snapshots of the Day
I looked around, but didn't stumble upon a pre-existing thread, so here we go. Basically, if you are an amateur to expert photographer, or just like to take pics with your camera phone, post them up to share. If you see a photo somewhere that is not your own work, but would like to share, then show us. Just be courteous and cite the original, please. If you have the Exif data, include. If not, don't worry about it Ok, so I'll start with a couple... First one is of some geese I snapped a yr or so ago, late fall. Easy way to set valves
what video camera are you using?

Posi Lock Cable
The install is fairly simple, to be honest. You're changing the fork hat from vacuum to cable operation (obviously), and there's no other real tricky parts involved.

Of course, I'm sure it's the same song and dance as pit bulls being killers.. But still. There's a difference when a pit bull weight 80lbs, and your kitty tips 300 or so LOL.. Talons and teeth.. :shivers:

Shifting in and out of 4wd speed?
carden joints are rebuildable, but not cheap, comparatively speaking. When they start to go bad, it sounds like angry sparrows under the truck, which then evolves into a notchy feeling in the driveline. Left alone, they will eventually bind to a point where it'll stop turning, thus blowing apart. I, too, have seen them rip a tcase apart once it locked up.I've rebuilt them in my old rock-crawlers, but it's a beotch.. you'll have to be creative, if you have standard run-of-the-mill tool selection.

Shifting in and out of 4wd speed?

- Help replacing rear axle hub seal
I did both rears in my '96. Used a chisel and hammer. reused both nuts and tin gaskets, etc.. Was actually a cake-easy job.- Shifting in and out of 4wd speed?
- Shifting in and out of 4wd speed?
The front axle is simple as well. It's a vacuum actuated slip collar that joins two slimed shafts. They're already semi-spinning so you sent joint a stationary shaft to one spinning at 45mph. That's a general description, of course.- transmission
nevermind.. I let my typing engage before I finished reading...you should still be "ok", for awhile, anyway. You'll just need to stay conscious of how the trans feels, and learn it's limits until you can step into a fully built unit.- 2006 Transplant no start
Lessons aside, where do you stand, now, with getting it to breathe on it's own? Or is it, already? - Anyone using their laptop as OBD2 Scanner?
