- Suspension measurements needed
Here's what I have. Upper control arm passanger side. This is to the center of bolt 14 1/2" 12 1/8" On the steering knuckle 16 1/8" to the underside of the casting the tie rod end passes thru. On the Pittman arm I measured to the bottom of the lowest point on the castle nut holding the drag link. 17 3/16". My castle nut is 7/16" tall. 2002 2500 4X4 6 speed 265 75 16 tires Let me know if that helps- Tach jumping
I did the mod @Mopar1973Man mentions and my ac voltage dropped fron .035 to .010. I have only heard from one other that has done this, @IBMobile, and he did not see as much as I did but could not remember what his drop was. It will be interesting to see how this works out for others that chose to do it.- Suspension measurements needed
Does tire size make a difference?- No Gauges No Pump No Start
Is your pillar gauge mechanical or electric? Just went thru something very similar with a 237 code. Mine is in the wiring and a new MAP did not fix the problem. This could either way.- Hp goals
Above all don't let us overwhelm ya. We all wish you the best my friend.- Hp goals
It is interesting to see the different cuts of clothe we all come from here. Me, I graduated high school and was glad to get it behind me. Not faulting anyone who did not all. It is not always what you do but what you do about it. So @Marcus2000monsterget that GED and be proud of it. My little brother did it the same as you are. Now he owns his own very small construction business and has been successful. Me, I got my first carpenters job on a 2 man framing crew. I learned more in that first year than most do in 5. When there ain't but 2 of ya, you got to learn fast. I got from there to construction super in 11 years. Not because of a piece of paper but because i was willing to learn and above all take on more responsibility. Taking resposibilty is the key, own the successes and the failures and learn from both. The VP of my company introduced me to 2 new supers a few months back as the super who has probably made every mistake you can building a CFA. I looked at him real puzzled and then realized he was right. Just a part of life. Now I don't mean to take away from the sheep skin and what @Dieselfuture speaks of or what @Mopar1973Man has experienced. Just that there is more than one way to skin that cat. Got a little long winded there but heres to what brings all of us together, Cummins in a Dodge truck. 2 gens for most but let's not forget the rest. Peace my brothers, and I mean all of you, mentioned or not. And may our trucks run forever.- disarming the alarm
not sufficient. This is more like it then we can .- Tach jumping
More than likely the crank sensor like @Mopar1973Man says. Get the codes read to be sure. Hate to see you throw a part it.- Floating Gears
Yep! Mine comes presoaked in nitro mathane lately.- Floating Gears
I got no problem with sending the core. It's just sitting there on the dolley. Just need to put the fire out in the wallet. It just keeps burning the cash up as fast as it gets in there. Appreciate your input.- 17” 3rd Gen Wheels
2 things in play maybe. The bigger rim would have more aluminum in it. If one tire is worn out you have less rubber on it compared to a new tire. Just spitballing.- Transmission
4th gear in my 5600 started whining a few weeks before it stuck in 4th. Got it out but would not go back in. Not sure what was wrong, I replaced the tranny.- Floating Gears
Check out Super Stick Transmissions that @trreed mentions. They seem to know the 5600 pretty well. Pulling the tranny is the only way to see the clutch. Pretty sure you can do the 5 speed. The drive shaft is a different length and I believe you need the bell housing also. Not sure what else might be needed. You know where to get the parts to do that? I bought a new shift tower several years back from somewhere. Pretty sure it was for an 03 or later due to the shifter knob being a couple inches closer to the console. That was all they had though and said it was for an 02 or older. It was awkward to shift though.- Floating Gears
I saw their name mentioned here the other day and checked them out. They have a 100k warranty also. You have any personal experience with them? I knew about 1 3/8 shaft. I paid $2500 for for the one got back in 2010. The oe spare resides on a dolley ever since..- Hp goals
What injectors are you running? I dont see them in your sig.- Floating Gears
something different from what came in the later versions? bigger than than the 1 3/8 shaft? I lost 4th in the oe around 250k and bought one from a junk yard out of an 02 with 51k on it. It is currently in the truck 200k later. I would like to send that one off and have it rebuilt. Hopefully soon. I would not mind having a working spare even if it has 250k on it. I went for a manual because I had heard stories about the autos being weak. Got sold on the 6 speed at the dealer. I had a Tim Allen moment when they started talking HO engine, 6 speed tranny, the testosterone started pumping. My heart sank when NV shut the doors. The other thing that got me years after the purchase was the folks I met that complained about there autos failing. All this while I was looking 18k to 20k pound trailers they were pulling. They just did not get it. And after their auto failed it was back to the dealer for a stock rebuild. I almost left this out. I still love my 6 speed. A bit more difficult to get thru the gears for hot rodding, but I can still do it when necessary.- Floating Gears
Get a 6 speed. 3k is where a good one starts and thats without broken hard parts. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$- Well the Order is in
Lets hope so.- Hp goals
It was advertised as quicker spoiling at the time I bought it. I never noticed much difference myself. Came with a package of things. I did not not know jack about this kind of stuff back then. This was with stock injectors. The 50's i have now spool it a vit quicker but they are smokey.- Exhaust manifold
That is correct.- Well the Order is in
Hope your truck was not part of this. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/nation-now/2018/05/04/ram-truck-heist-fiat-chrysler/581034002- Choosing the right turbo
Is this settings on the Quad?- Hp goals
Mine is a bit of a hybrid too. I have the Banks quick turbo exhaust housing and have never found out what the exact difference is. Getting info out of Banks aint very easy.- Hp goals
I am definitely not the expert here but for the money and versatility the Quad would have been my choice had it been available when I bought my Comp. Even if you don't use the Quad to its full capability it is worth the money. Then later if you want you can add a new turbo, bigger injectors, or whatever if desired. I consider the Quad as the foundation to any building blocks you wish to add. Nothing wrong with starting small and having room to build up. - Suspension measurements needed
