  1. Maybe maybe not. But seeing you rmom standing in front of it and not in a hospital makes it look all that much better!!!
  2. As far as the rv's, I believe they come from Bosch and sold as is. But i would think they have to pass Bosch standards at the least. FWIW anyway,
  3. I deal with many contractors, most do well. The ones without foremen present usually dont do well. My excavator's foreman leaves on Wednesday's. They are not doing well. My HVAC contractor has a weak foreman. They are not doing well. Life sucks for now. Cluck cluck. I was due after a steam of good ones.
  4. Just remember if they do have one I am pretty sure you have to get programmed. Cummins wont program it for a Dodge.
  5. I went the internet rebuild route and my truck was down for 6 weeks. After waiting a week and half for the first one which did not work I had to return it and waited 4 and half weeks for the replacement. it worked but no cruise control. It lasted a year and I ended up getting one from Cummins. Still a reman but also still working 5 + years later. Even when I bought mine there were no new ones available. I was lucky and found a shop in Tennessee that got it, and programmed it. Cost me $1400. Like Mike says do your research. My first rebuilt came from Automotive Scientific Inc. ASI
  6. Thats a whole new concept. Keeping the beer warm enough to drink.
  7. Does Cummins not have them anymore? That is where mine came from and it was a reman.
  8. All about $$$. We went thru similar issues with OSHA during the great recession. They even hired more inspectors during the time.Violations=fines=revenue=paycheck.
  9. Just reading USA Today and it seems FCA is being accused of the same thing with the half ton diesel pickups and some Jeeps from 2014 and 2015. 104,00 vehicles for now. j
  10. Have you checked your codes again?
  11. My in tank pump, about a year old at the time was putting out 5 at idle and near 0 at WOT. Way lower than the pressures advised at the time. Just was not any fun since I paid a dealer almost a grand for it.
  12. The sport lights have I separate bulb for high and low i believe, where the non sport have a combination bulb for both. Housings would be different also although I have never looked at a set sport head lights.
  13. Maybe maybe not. You need to get up under the front while someone turns the wheel back and forth and start looking for movement in all the parts connected to the steering box all the way out to the wheels. Check the track bar also. If you have movement in any of these parts that would be the most or all of your problem. The steering box has an adjustment screw on top of the box. It has a jam nut holding it in place. You loosed the jam nut and screw it in about 1/8th of turn and see how that helps. You have to be careful with that adjustment, to much and the steering will not return and the box will fail completely.
  14. No problem brother man. The crimp fitting does look dissimilar to the steel cable but not sure what it is. It did last 15 years but with as big a bomb it is holding up I think a different type of connection would be called for.
  15. With only 108k on it, it should last a good while. Just shy of 392k on mine and all of them with me in the drivers seat. Bought it new in October of 01.
  16. Nice truck, We have almost the truck.Mine however needs paint from one end to the other. Going to wrap for now. How do you like the So pump? Do you see much difference with it?
  17. I definitely had that one. Start the engine cold and it would spike out very quickly most times.
  18. No I did not. And now I cant remember what I did with it. Know I did not throw it away. Man I need to clean my truck. Probably buried in the back seat.
  19. Somebody posted a thread here a while back about their cable breaking. Got me to looking at mine every time I had the spare for whatever reason and I never saw anything alarming. Just never dawned me to look a the crimp connector. It has me thinking about doing something to it to be sure that does not happen again. But if the new last 15 years it might not be an issue for me. I would hand a piece of advice to all. Check the darn for fraying AND the crimp connector holding it together. If that thing would of hit someone it would not have only been bad for them but this day and time I could smell lawsuit happening.
  20. Mine is about 6 years old but I did loose the pump about 15 months ago. They sent me a new no questions asked. Hope it was a good one.
  21. You are not far off from where mine was when the ECM went. Had a boat load of codes except the 606 ECM code. As pricey as they are all of the above is the way to go to be sure. I would start saving up for one though.
  22. I did. Coming home 2 week ends ago a fellow was in the left lane and did not want to move over. I tired of this and went to pass him in the right lane. Well he sped up and I did not back off. I got around him and then looked in my mirror to see him way back. That is when I saw the tire about 30' in the air and coming down. It hit the shoulder and went over a steep embankment. Very lucky it did not hit anyone. I went back and could not see it and the embankment was to steep for me to climb. So bye bye tire and wheel. Had I not looked in the mirror I would have never known it came off. It appears that the stamped metal plate that goes thru the wheel came off the cable. It is only held on by a crimped connector and they cable does not appear to be frayed unless they all broke at the same place. It has been too wet or too cold to do much with it.
  23. What fluid are you running in it? I remember after they discontinued the 5600 there were a lot of cheap parts floating around out there for rebuilds. Probably still are. You might be a victim of that.
  24. I but some OE stuff in this way. Just bought a new spare tire winch. Turned out the dealer that had was 5 miles from the house. Just went in and got. They wanted $135 for it and asked them about the internet price of $90. And thats what I paid for it. Saw it on ebay. Cant say that much for the spare tire. Its gone.
  25. Pretty sure that is where I saw it too. I had forgotten some soldering was involved and just was not into that Sunday. If they let go again I will break out the iron.
