  1. Uh what did you do with the snap ring on the dhd extension housing for the bearing......
  2. What years where the trucks you swapped parts between......
  3. The weirder part is they normally do not break at the pump......
  4. That looks like the whole rim to me. You can see the weights attached to it.
  5. There is a white plastic retainer on the back side of the apps bracket, towards the bulk head. Slide it towards the drivers side fender to unlock it. Lower stall puts more load on the engine sooner and helps smaller chargers come on faster. Larger turbos like a bit more stall to help get shaft speed up. Stock or slightly lower than stock stall should work just fine for what you have imo. Though stall speeds between converter guys is apples to onions most times lol.
  6. I have 4500k in my current set per ddms site.
  7. Man, I have not seen one stack a shift that early. For sure some of your smoke issues. Another problem.....lock up and od are both pcm controlled.... @Dynamic would be a better source on the stack shift issues than I. I have always locked out od in my green truck due to turbocharger setups (large). It would pull through 3rd locked though.
  8. I'm not being a smartass but did you read the thread?
  9. In. Oil is not mine.
  10. There are 2 DHD cases. Which do you have? The two piece or one piece extension housing?
  11. The brown wire in the middle pcm connector? It is for the 3-4 shift, basically a lockup switch for overdrive. The tcase plug is the vacuum switch for the front axle actuator. Brown wire in the trans connector is for 3-4 solenoid as well.
  12. You have an injector (not likely) issue or another pump (extremely likely due to source) issue.
  13. Are they 5v reference sensors? Round 3 pin deal?
  14. I would follow F1's recommendation on the injectors. Theirs (F1) typically perform well above the traditional thoughts on hole size. I am about mechanical pumps now. Belt driven or geartrain driven.
  15. There is a reason neither system is on either of my trucks any longer LOL
  16. I've found they return way to much fuel in an effort to keep the pump motor cool.
  17. F1 is an excellent source for vp injectors. Don has had them figured out for a long time. I could ask the same about industrial injection and selling their "race honed" sets. Pinch the return on the airdog. I would put money on it your inlet pressure comes up.
  18. PCM is not what sends the speed message, just an fyi. It comes from the abs.
  19. The intercooler is 100% not a 3.5". It is 3.63", there is a reason so many fight with the 3.5" boot.
  20. Idc what you do with tuning NOTHING will help that pos turbine in the 66. Do you have a power goal or just want more streetable?
  21. Thoroughbred is fine for turbos. Injectors are based on how much you want to spend. I have options from affordable to high end. Most parts are map priced now are map priced. Find someone you like besides CPP. A set of 7x.010s would work well with that charger. Turbines a bit old but works well. A 65mm or 68mm would be a better fit for most dd stuff. Even towing.
  22. To make you feel a bit better about capabilities of the vp I had a stock pump on the green truck in my profile picture and managed 650whp out of it. Stock head, cam etc. You are. The edge is smokey mess with anything larger than a 7x.010". Personal experience with that one. 6x.013s are closer to a 250hp injector. They will actually make more than that. Much more. Nail on the head with spraying out of the bowl.
  23. Don't touch them mofos after even a minimal length of time.......
  24. No these would be a 500+hp injector for most of the crap builders use to estimate a hp range. The ddps you have should not be compared to anything other than edge jammers. DDP uses wide cone marine nozzles that are known to be smokey. Actually a set of 6x.013s or 7x.014s would get you close to what you want power wise. Smoke is going to be an issue with the tuning you are going to run. And no on the 64/80 compounds. Your turbos will go a long way. Much further than they are given credit for. You stock vp can support over 700whp. More with nitrous but that is another topic all together.
