  1. A 62 what? Compressor should hardly be the deciding factor in a turbocharger.
  2. Industrial Injections has turned themselves around as far as vps go. I have no idea what other parts you are looking for. I source stuff from all over the place.
  3. Yes HUGE issues with the shady pos. Do not trust ANYTHING that comes out of that mans mouth. I am less than impressed with anything Thoroughbred diesel as well.
  4. To me it sounds like they didn't check for clearance with the retainers and valve seals. You're not feeling the power you feel you should have as you are fuel limited with the little injectors (both sets). If you are anywhere near Michigan come on by and I'll throw my 6x.018s in it. lol. You do not make hp with engine parts on these things. Especially with a little stock vp. A hrvp will make no more power either.
  5. Well if you are/were passing oil from the valve seals it could be the source of the white smoke. What I was kind of alluding to. Any s400 I've had have been loose af. But no signs of oil passing.
  6. When I blew up my hy35 it white smoked like a mofo. Dumped all kinds of oil in the exhaust. Not saying that is what you have going on but it was weird to me the smoke was white vs. blue.
  7. I would be less than impressed with the valve seals..... The only other cnc'd head I have seen (in person) the ports were opened up even the roof. Some do not like touching the roof due to the connector tube passage.
  8. That larger housing moves quite a bit more air than the 1.10 jobber. When is the last time you pressure checked the piping? Sorry if I missed that somewhere. Lotta info to try and absorb in all the posts.
  9. Infinite performance, Haley Speed Inc., F1 Fuel Injection are the ones I would consider for injectors. 12v & vp injectors are "cheap" due to being a mechanical poppet injector. Do not let advertising or price fool you. I have yet to see a set of ddp injectors come close to anything more affordably priced in performance. Industrial Injection is another that charges an extreme premium for a less than mediocre product. I use a lockup switch daily on my stock 12v. Stupid sloppy stock 47re converter. The edge is reading the sensor value across the bus. Likely why the resolution was worse. You said you have a 1.32 on there now correct? That is where some of your boost went.
  10. I just replaced mine with a parts store reman with a lifetime warranty. The booster for the newer trucks are more expensive than the one in my 97. Little odd but no more leaks and my braking is much much better.
  11. If you are reading boost using the edge monitor they like to max out around 40psi for some reason. Had this issue when I was still vp powered. Simple fact is if you want 600whp none of the injectors you have will support it. I have my personal favorites and know some others that build very nice injectors and would give you sticker shock over what ddp charges for their stuff. If you want to drag race and run decent times, yes a lockup switch is needed. Yes boosted launches will kill drivetrain parts. Oddly enough I do not seem to go through them like others. These trucks can be pretty tough.
  12. Well I'll be! I can start pointing people there now!
  13. It is something like 15-25psi. I don't have the fsm in front of me at the moment.
  14. Oh I know. I do not expect them to continue to produce the parts. But the aftermarket has not stepped up for the parts, yet.
  15. That as well as bad as it is broken.
  16. Cummins stopped making a ton of stuff for the ISB.
  17. As far as the fueling goes, I would consider finding a better injector builder as your current choices are not going to support 700hp on even a semi legit dyno. There was a gentleman on compd 4 or 5 years ago we believe unlocked the psg, he was from Sweden iirc. But he fell off the face of the Earth before confirming he was actually successful on his endeavor.
  18. 1997 was the first year for hydraboost on the 12v. I'll 2nd replacing the pin.
  19. Do not trust anyone these days with these trucks. I've never seen such a shady group of owners.
  20. The last time I looked in star parts they were not available. So if a dealer is getting them I am not sure where from.
  21. Anyone monitoring their oil changes would be able to tell if they bhaf was not actually filtering enough......
  22. Retarding timing forces the burn to happen in the manifold/turbine housing. Why egts go up when retarding timing. It physically moves the burn around. Advancing timing keeps the burn in the cylinder providing more work to act on the piston.
  23. To put some backing behind it they are holding back over 100psi with my junk. No stock boots though. Those held 70psi with the nuts and factory boots. I have used vice grips to squeeze them back together. Gotta love corrosion and crap on the threads.
