47re tear down & subsequent rebuild
This one only needs to hold 600whp. Which what is going in it shouldn't be too bad. No fancy stuff like with greenys. My buddies eyes lit up when he saw the billet forward drum from tcs LOL

taterbuilt The spray pattern is related to timing and cone angle.

Head gasket leaking oil
The oil and coolant passages are very close to each other in that corner. When I blew the head gasket on the green truck it is where mine was leaking as well.

Wheels and Tire Setup
Me either. Even the ones that are tore up.

Head gasket leaking oil
He has thread sticking above and that is not such a big deal. What I am looking at is the bottom of the nut and top of the washer. It may just be the shadow messing with me.

Teardown and Rebuild
I use the factory return on mine. Have not seen an issue with excessive fuel pressure.

Head gasket leaking oil
I know there is a shadow on that nut but is it tightened down all the way? It looks a bit odd. North American Turbo Systems. Fwiw the head that is on my green truck is full of cracks. It just got surfaced and reinstalled. The engine in it is a throw away so I was not concerned about it.

1997 12 valve purchase
Yea good choice. That sounds like a 1k truck with all the screwing around you'd have to do to put it together.
-
Head gasket leaking oil
More like 75/25 the head is cracked lol. And not all cracks are bad. They would need to pressure test to be sure.

Head gasket leaking oil
You may have to remove wiper arms and the plastic piece to get them all the way out. Sometimes I can without.

Which injectors for compounds?
They will be at 290 bar. Mine had orings and washers on them when arrived. I did change connector tube orings.

1997 12 valve purchase
A roller in ok condition goes for 1k. A running driving 2wd normally sells for 3k. I cannot see the link due to restrictions so I am not sure on the quality of the truck. You would basically be looking for a 2 year only harness. Could get even trickier if the truck is a late 97 like mine. Some weird differences in harness'.

Probably never lol

Which injectors for compounds?
It should not be any harder on the vp than being operated constantly at rpm. Same idea as when a ppump is installed on a 24v, anyone in the know will not run them at ppump pop. For the exact reason Nick wants to overcome the idle smoke with a vp.

Head gasket leaking oil
I always leave the back hold down bolts in. Machine shop has no need to mess with them. That gasket kit is EVERYTHING for the top end. You would likely only need the intake plate gasket, head gasket and manifold gasket. Maybe intake seals if they touch the guides.
