Did you ever cycle the key. You may be able to read codes for free. I do know I've been unable reset codes with a snapon and mac scanner. My truck is wheeerd 2002 doesnt trip a check engine light even when injection pump went out. Not sure I've ever seen a check engine light.

I havent had any problems with my 3rd gen aluminium 17s I've had them on for about 50k Tires are rated at 3195 gives me roughly 2k of tongue weight since truck weighs 10k. I havent ever axled out the goosekneck but put load over trailer axles when possible Even if I have truck tires running over 3195 on acasion I dont think it's a issue. Actually I'm running 60psi wich puts them under the 3195 rating and they're still fine. I tow a fair amount but not super heavy. 10k sometimes 15.

I'm not sure that's the case today

Can you cycle ignition 3times on 01 to flash codes across odometer display? 02 does I'd try it on a 01

My 17" 3rd gen aluminium are working well but honestly with a gooseneck in tow they aren't worked that hard. To me those ball joints look shot. But I'd go ahead and run them till they start popping making corners then I'd probly slow my cornering alittle to keep them from popping wait that is what I did. Lol. Mine went over 180k th ed n got very bad I put napa joints on now one is shot after about 50k I've been dragging my feet to change it out.

Not sure the reasoning behind taking a 2nd gen to dealership. They're are shops out there that have good techs that are smart and not out trying to screw you. I'd be afraid to even take the truck back to have the dealership fix they're own Do it yourself or ask around and find a good tech count the time and 1100 as learning experience

Thank you me to. I running better on the bottom end than hy35 but I think that my boost leak was present with it to. I've yet to see more 40plus psi but honestly I dont think I need it but would be cool to hit just say yup I'm there with ya. Lol Thought about messing with timing to see if psi would come up but decided against that. I dont have head studs in yet so that maybe asking for trouble Looking forward to towing see what kinda temps are going to happen and also maybe see some higher psi #s under a load. Very impressed with the feel of this motor now. Shes also got alittle turbo whistle at idle and exhaust tones louder now that waste gate is good and closed. It just keeps getting louder. The low rpm light throttle drone is taking some getting used to. It's not horrible but with hy35 it was a pretty quite truck. Maybe the true 4" down pipe is to blame for the noise

This is in city traffic then a quick stab in 3rd. Truck is empty feels like it lurches off the ground. Crushing at 2000rpm in 3rd egt are below 500. I just put a turnbuckle on waste gate for now until I can figure where and how to mount actuator.

If you have a harbor freight in your area go by kit of both metric and standerd sizes There like 5 bucks a set worth having in kitchen draw or under the seat of the truck. Probably not the help your after but is something

Got my leak fixed

Found a sizable boost leak. Whittled on this Pittsburg wrench to make fuel line removal go smooth. Man I love cheap harbor freight tools So far with the boost leak egts and max boost have been roughly the same as hy35. Leak was probably present with the hy35 but livened up with 62 turbo Will update later on if this turbo goes to 60psi ;) ounce intakes all sealed up. Lol I'll be happy with meat 40 I did see 34 with the leack All buttoned up. Bucking a head wind at 5-8psi 1800 rpm. Picked up some bottom to midrange. Spools quicker egt running 800-950 . Zeo cruise control surging. Hy35 had alittle at same smarty settings. May bump up to tm 5 see if it surges there. Still don't know max psi or what egt will do. Also still need to lock down waste gate. Cruised to boise hit a few lights in town from what I can see smoke is greatly reduced. Smarty is on sw9 tm4 timming2 duration4 Power appears to be crisper through bottom and midrange boost building is no issue, under light throttle its lit by 1500rpm and raises just about as fast as the throttle is pressed seems to get 20psi very fast Will update more later

I'd definitely follow dynamics recomendation. Just noticed you have some decent power mods. Injectors and box probly puts you in the 350+ neighborhood.. If tranny is just basically stock it may not be up to the task.. Do some reading learning on the 47re and make sure your getting the most from what you have.

ATS and BD both have good instructions on tuning and adjusting the 47re. I'd recommend reading them one or both before doing anything. When I have time I'll look them up and post here. transgo also has some ancient old school but informative videos on youtube

Adjusting bands and making sure TV cable is set so wide open shifts happen around 2800-3000 couldn't hurt anything Before I spent any money on fluid I'd like to see pressure near 100psi at wide open throttle. If pressure is good I'd most likely ditch +4 fluid for tractor transmission fluid. The cheap stuff from Walmart in a 5 gal bucket. Drop pan adjust bands check accumulator spring install new filter. Bump pressure up alittle Drive and fo from there

Probably make 500k with this clutch. Shes just ticked over 400

Just an update. Ended up having to do the upgraded hydraulics to get the throw out of the clutch to disengage all the way. Truck has been towing daily since. Towing 10-20k with no issues.
