Cold fluid 47re 2nd gear starts
Pepsi Tranny has most all the goodies I could afford for 4k Just today I was thinking something might be sticking If its something sticking how come shutting the truck off and restarting resets it and itl emidatly be in first. I'm wondering about the TV valve This tranny deserves a good valve body not one that's seen 320k and just has a shift kit. Thinking hard on a dynamic replacement.

2007 dual mass to single mass flywheel
Trans is stuffed back in. Scabbed some metal together with a welder and floor jack to stuff it. Didnt feel comfortable stuffing it with out having it stable in the air. Ended up getting some long bolts to align and slowly pull it forward. Worked well. Hoping to get it buttoned up tonight and go for a spin.

Is there any benefit to 3cyl high idle. It sounds scarey

Stolen trailer recovered
Good to hear. I had a roger super black hawk hunter pistol with bisley grip and pair of whites boots stolen out of my truck. About 12 years ago. Nothing ever recovered. The pistol I could do without. at the time it was hard to replace the boots. This was stolen in my driveway over night. I guess I learned to lock the doors after that.

Three cylinder high idle
I fired my truck up at a slushy 17deg the other morning. Did not notice a different idle with smarty on board. But I did go back into the hotel room so may have missed it.

I haven't been any help really and never did get around to looking at how I put mine together I do have the hard90 at the pump with my pressure gauge coming off it snubbed to mechanical gauge. Not sure what I put on the filter end.

Sorry I haven't looked at mine yet. The auto parts store might or a specialty fluid connectors store will have what you. You could return the Vulcan parts and just go build it in the specialty stores parking lot for half price.

Borg Warner sxe300 62 65 14 turbo :)
Still a 3rd gen paper weight. I did order a intercooler tube 2g-3g from stainless diesel along with a diy down pipe kit with he351 flange and clamp. Never did get the turbo exchanged for 2g turbo it's been a goat rope and I've been distracted anyways. Maybe next week I'll get it on.

Cold fluid 47re 2nd gear starts
Dont think it's a pressure thing now. Just drove boise to mtn home and got 2nd gear start at the first light I hit. Shut it off at the second light and then it was good to go. Though it could be. Fluid temp was 102. Haven't had time to mess with it. Its annoying more than anything. I did think about the sensors. They're 3 or 4 years old now. I'll check for codes. Thanks for the reply I didnt realize it wouldnt trip service engine light. I do know when injection pump went out it didnt have any indications on the dash

Yes different Not sure what you mean 90 deg. fitting at filter housing. I'll look at what I did at filter housing. Its been awhile. I've been busy chasing clutch parts

RWD lower control arm
Would be cool to build a 2wd Cummins that drives like it's on rails. Maybe slightly lower it with sticky rubber upgrade steering control arms shocks maybe get rid of leads in the rear for a 4link on coils. Ohhh wait you just want to get it right side to side. I'd just get matching control arms on it or at the very least verify that the different control arms are intact different. I'd probly also check to make sure frame isnt fubbared. The voice in the back of my head thinks the different numbers between arms might actually have the same dimensions and may work together fine. Also think castor is adjustable and may be set incorrectly making the truck look different side to side. I'm trying to picture the 2wd arms in my head and cant quite see how it adjusts castor. Look into good shops no idea where youd look maybe contact the smaller diesel shops and go fro there they will no good guys who do good work. I like shoes with 3 or less mechanics working. If there's 6 or guys running around looking like monkeys on a football stay away Good luck

Transmission is pulled fairly straight forward but got stumped by the dual mass flywheel and how to remove it and stopped for the night. I feel like a gomer because it removes the same as a tourge converter through the engine side plate. Grrr oh well. Most likely I'll be installing a one piece flex plate. I dont much care for this rattling dual mass contradiction. I dont think it can be turned locally anyways. Headed for parts and solid flexplate and hydraulics to match

Called six states to confirm they have parts. Appears this could be one of two clutches depending on if flywheel was upgraded. Will be tearing into it tonight and taking flywheel to be turned or upgraded. If it's a factory flywheel it has to go to salt lake to be turned. So I'll upgrade at that point and get a clutch to match. Something about a boot onto of the tranny should be replaced. Not sure about that hopefully will see tonight

Seems to be sensor or computer related. Had a 10k machine on leaving a stop light she shudders my eyes go wide and I pull the shifter to first no change. At this point I think it's just slipping with a very light foot I get the load moving with minimal slipping. Ounce going I get 1upshift then lock and I stand on her roaling coal. Hunkered down and accelerating with no slipping. It didnt hit me yet I was starting in second. Get where I'm going check fluid its good shut truck off . Go to lunch later no trailer truck sluggish to move then I realized it's in 2nd. Just for kicks I shut it off rolling to stop light turns green issues gone. Ever since I've noticed it does do it on cold fluid. What I think is with fluid cold pressure must be high enough it's going into limp mode though no lights appear on dash wich I expected this truck never trips a service engine light. Another thing is I'm pretty sure overdrive indicator has changed color to a darker orange. Not sure if I need a bigger resistor to mask pressure or bump back pressure a fuzz. Also not 100% sure that's what it is yet. Doesn't do it ounce fluid temp starts moving the gauge at 80deg its stays under 80 for a long time. Kinda just thinking outloud maybe I'm off on thinking it's in limp mode.? Towing today. Fluid at 135 no issues- 47RE Transmission Temperature Port?

Doing clutch on our 2007 trans is a 5 speed question mark. I have no clue I just drive it. Truck is cab n chassis 2wd 1ton I better call six states to make sure they have a clutch and rear main I'm assuming throughout bearing is included with the clutch? Should I do rear main? It is leaking alittle, I want this to be wam bam yank turn it put it back together It doesnt really bother me that it leaks. Theres a chance itl leak after I change it anyways. Anything to look out for? Local shops are busy so I'm going to pull tranny Thursday night get flywheel turned Friday and put back together by monday. Will also fit normal work schedule in. We talked about the labor it's a grand that's not huge deal it's being without it for a week plus. Just cant be down that long. Plus I gota earn my keep somehow and would never pay for labor on my 02 wich is my work truck- New Quadzilla installed--low power and 0 smoke?
I like that sexy white truck. And yes with 4.10s a 35" plus tire will work well. Should see 20mp or damn close- Turbo opinions
I have no idea what size turbo. To much miss information on foroumns. Really no clue what the 62 65 14 turbo will do for me. Sounds like my hy35 is running cooler than yours. I'm on 100injectors smarty on 9 and waste gate turnbuckled. Also have 3.55s and 35s run same rpm as you. Towing a 10k machine is when things get toasty. I'm torn weather I think the hot side of the trans is info worth knowing. If the cool side in the pan gets hot then theres for sure serious problems.- 47RE Transmission Temperature Port?
I think pan temp isnt a bad place. Then you know its running cool and is cooling well. Would be cool to see temps directly from the tourqe converter before it enters the heat exchanger on the block.- Quadzilla
