19.5" Wheels & Tires
Rickson has a very bad customer service reputation on Cummins Forum and everywhere else I've looked. Good looking wheels but their reputation is horrible.

Wife broke down with my truck... Castleton Vt
DAP will drop ship an industrial injection pump to you if that's the case. They are new computers and they have a Bosch stand of their own. There is a way to test the pump independent of the ecm... it's on blue chips site if I recall correctly.

Thanks Bill. Useful stuff as usual.

Question about Torque Managment & De-fueling
There is only one smarty for the 2nd gen. Smarty alone is my favorite tuner/box alone. Tst plus smarty is way better than edge in my opinion. Very smooth power compared to the edge.

Warm A/C at stops
If you come up with an alternative or fix, I would be interested. I haven't found one yet. All I've done that somewhat helps is to run 6cyl high idle.

Teardown and Rebuild
Very nice. I really like how that turned out. Is there any bondo in that body or is it ding free? You win for nicest 2nd gen. I can't play... especially without a repaint & rebuild.

Radio trouble
I think I know what you mean... Does your multimeter have a continuity tester? It should have a diode symbol. An OHM symbol measuring resistance will work too. With the continuity, test between the speaker wire at the speaker, and then back to the wire at the radio. Then check continuity to ground against the cab to make sure it isn't shorting to the cab, which was my problem. I had a rubbed wire that was shorting to the cab.

Teardown and Rebuild
On most of the old mopars I find that the rust never comes from the outside. Bed lining the outside won't do much other than keep the rock chips down and keep the dirt in the cracks and crevices in the rhino lined rocker panels. Rust comes from inherent design flaws and manufacturing methods used in the car. One, leaves and debris in spaces between body panels like down the vents behind the engine or between the cab and inner fenders. This is notorious in old cars and why I see most eastern and southern cars need patch panels on the firewall and lower front fenders. I get irritated when I find old leaves in cars... Shows that folks didn't wash their cars properly. Two, is from salt and galvanic reactions on exposed metal and spot welds. Not much you can do here other than spray and pray. Doing a serious undercoating job on the truck, religiously washing & waxing the truck, and in extreme salt states spraying out parts of the body with some sort of oil will help.

Sad news
My state is full of hippies and emissions Nazis.

Sad news
Even with the emissions stuff, I'd buy one if it didn't cost more than what I make in a year.

Crankcase Vent Modification Pieces
Mine is still higher than my axle. I haven't had any issues in ice, snow, or farm roads. I haven't been on many real USFS roads or jeep trails lately but if it takes my vent hose off I am probably going to lose some brake lines too.

Crankcase Vent Modification Pieces
I just used a longer hose and routed it straight down. It hangs lower than the engine and body but it works... it looks very old school John Deere.

Vibration Damper
I believe, that there is only one way the bolts align. Just out of curiosity, why change it?

Gauging interest. Possible 99 Ram 1500 part out
Sport model or standard model? If sport, pretty much the whole front end, bumpers grille, supports, wiring, etc. If not, then, possibly some dash plastic that you don't take for yourself. Manual or auto?

DIY: Lockup Switch install into Gear Selector Arm
Good post. It is hard on all components from flex plate back to shift while locked. I've only known guys to use it to keep from unlocking up a grade or to lock up early while staying in a gear.

Fuel Gauge Line Tick
Fuel pressure gauge? Not fuel level? That is the hammer of the pumps hammering the heck out of the gears in your gauge. They will kill the gauge if they haven't already. You need to tighten the needle valve down til it stops. Describe the tick. Is it a buzz or it is a slow tick ... tick ... tick... and what truck is this on? The ford?
