  1. https://maps.google.com/?q=44.265205,-117.125417 They're booked up but if JAG1 gets Me78569's spot you could must likely tent up in his spot because his "rig is very short". I'm leaving tomorrow at noon, to beat the afternoon traffic in Riverside and San Bernardino, and take a slow three day drive up there. I have 6 pair of the good solar glasses with me and also the lens out of my wielding hood that I've used for other solar events. The lens works good in front of the camera.
  2. JAG1's rig with a local at the back bumper looking for a hand out.
  3. Jag might want it. I'll be there by the afternoon of the18th in space #7. There will be plenty of coffee to go around all week end and food to if you want. I'll also have a few pair of eclipse glasses on hand. This is my first stop in a month long vacation which will take my wife and I to Glacier National Park, Banff and Jasper Canada, along with a stop in the north part of Yellowstone, was there 2years ago for a week. The final stop will be the backside of Yosemite. As part of the trip planning I've mapped out all the Costco and WalMarts along my rout so I can restock as needed.
  4. This is what I have since 2005 with the boost elbow that comes with the Edge EZ less the RV275 injectors which I'll install when the original injectors go bad. You will most definitely will want to install the boost elbow to increase boost from stock ~18 PSI to ~28 PSI. The Edge EZ is $430 or $6.62/HP and I have a 6637 NAPA Gold air filter (BHAF) @ $39.48 from Amazon. With this set up I go up 6% + grades that are at 7k to 8k at 55 MPH with no problems. I just set the cruse control and go. This is what I tow but I now have a 14' boat. I'm towing about 9k pounds. 11" BHAF
  5. When I bought the Fuel Boss a roll of Parker series 7212 JIFFY PUSH-ON 3/8 hose came with it. It's good with bio-diesel up to B-20. It's been on the truck now for 4 years with no problems.
  6. So you are saying B-5 or greater takes the place of adding 2 cycle oil for injection pump lubrication?
  7. This is what comes in a Fuel Boss installation kit. The hose is 3/8 or up grade it to 1/2 and you can add a draw straw or use the stock pickup. For my needs I stayed with the 3/8 hose and stock pickup. If I was to opt for more power like bigger injectors and such then I'd install 1/2 line with a straw. http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/product.aspx?pf_id=FB-98502
  8. A new small pulley is installed to the front of the crankshaft pulley/ harmonic balancer and the pump attaches to the engine block via the front oil pan bolts. This is where the belt adjustment is also.
  9. Yes it can that's why you would want to do this. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/59_fuel/installing-protective-lift-pump-relay-r501/ 2 volts wont run anything. If you want 12 volts with key on tap the red/light green (rd/lg) wire at terminal 87 of the fuel pump relay in the PDC and use it as the triggering power at terminal 86 of a relay, you install, for just the lift pump. This will turn on the lift pump anytime the pv44 is energized.
  10. I installed mine just over 4 years ago (5/2013) . Fuel pressure was 17 at idle and 19 going down the road when first installed then went to near 0 a few days later. I found a bit of debris from the installation keeping the fuel pressure regulator stuck open. It's e-z to open the regulator and clean out or adjust fuel pressure if there is a need for it. I keep a spare belt under the back seat but there is also that spare fuel pump in the fuel system. All I need to do is in stall the fuse.
  11. Yes, it does. The fuel pressure regulator is in that line and they have it returning the fuel by way of a t-fitting in the filler neck hose. I run the fuel boss the same way. An electric fuel pump is installed but the fuse is pulled for power to terminal 30 of the relay. This keeps relay triggering power flowing from the ECM to relay terminal 86, the electric fuel pump doesn't run and no fault code p o230, or p0232 is set.
  12. See if any of this helps.

Who knows I might boondock it down the road from there. I found a few good spots for boondocking large areas for folks. There is one lot just west of Catfish Junction and then another just down the road about a mile if need be. All the times I've been to Catfish Junction the place always had a open slot. Never crowded... Might be for thatr event though... 14. JAG1 you would LineX the floor in your house if your wife let you.
  15. A vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is determined by how much weight the suspension can tolerate be for a failure in a component, by it's braking ability in a given distance at a set speed and the ability of the tires to carry the weight with out overheating and blowing out . Overloaded and you may not stop in time and go right through a red light.
  16. How do the wires and connections in the power distribution center (PDC) look? Start with the main cable from the left side battery to it.
  17. Sounds like a plan and big savings on housing. How's the roof and what about sewer dumping? JAG1 is right about the seals for the slides. If you can cover them from the outside it will not only help eliminate cold air infiltration but prevent UV damage also.
  18. Probably lube about the same and cost about twice as much.
  19. I'm still finding things out about my truck. Thanks to Mike, AKA Mopar1973Man, and these forums we all get to learn about the trucks we drive and hopefully pass the info on to others.
  20. The park light is dim and the turn signal is much brighter or are both filaments powering up. If you turn on the park lights and the right turn signal at the same time you'll see the difference. The blub, a 3157NA, is a double filament type. The turn signal and park light filaments are rated at 400 and 38 lumens respectively. There can be a problem with one part of the socket and/or blub and not have it effect the other. .
  21. A good time by screwing around with your truck. If all the other lights are working it is probably a bad weir/connector between the switch and the blub socket or the socket it self. First I would ohm test the light blub. I.ve seen blubs look good but ohm test bad. Next I would check to see if there was voltage at the blub socket. If yes go and ohm test the ground for the blub socket. If no trace the wire back to the connector (junction block). Is there voltage at the connector (junction block) pins C1 C5. If yes repair wire from connector to socket. if no check for voltage at pin 11 in the turn single/hazard switch. Ohm testing blub socket ground. if continuity (0Ω) then see above. If no continuity ( open circuit) then check for broken wire or poor contact at body ground.
  22. While getting my 5er ready for the up coming trip to Catfish Junction I found the AC shroud cracked just about beyond repair and in need of replacement. It has already been partially fiberglassed once and to repair it would coast me as much in matting and resin as it would to replace it. The AC is a Dometic Duo-Therm Brisk Air ,new style, 13500btu. I have found three suppliers of this shroud: 1 Camping World, 2 Icon Direct (thru Amazon), and 3 Dometic ( thru Amazon). My question is: 1 has anyone replaced the shroud on their AC unit, 2 who did you buy it from, and 3 what was the quality of the replacement shroud?
  23. JAG1 no need to wright it down. You can find it in this article.
  24. Their not the same. 99 OEM #56027221AB (DENSO) 136 amp 99 OEM #562839 (BOSCH) 136 amp 01-02 OEM #56027221AD (ALL 5.9L Cummins diesel)
