I left the stock fule return line alone and used the metal fuel feed line that goes from the teak to the location of the factory mounted lift pump as the return line for the Fuel Boss. I used a small tube cutter and cut off the ends of the line. The bypass valve / pressure regulator was attached at the end previously used for the lift pump and the other to the T fitting installed in the filler neck. I put a cheap lift pump, Airtex, in the mix. I have electric fuel pump run by a relay but the fuse is pulled so the ECM closes the relay but the fuel pump doesn't come on. When my VP44 went out on me I pulled the relay and jumpered the contacts for pin #30 and #87. This turned on the pump and primed the new VP with out cranking the engine. Mike saw how I did it.

Well it about time Goodyear made a decent trailer tire but the tire has been on the market for only 8 months so it's a little premature if they hold up in the long run. . I've been using the MAXXIS M8008 ST radial tire since 2004. The first set came with the trailer and lasted 9 years before dry rot took them out. I replaced them with another set of the same. Pins #3 and #9 are not used by the injection pump that is why there are no female terminals for those pins in the connector. If you pull back the rubber covering to the connector you'll find no wires for those pin positions.

All you replaced was the front brake rotors and pads. You also replaced the left front wheel bearings, inner and outer. You didn't have that clunk before you did this job? So it must be some thing you removed and reinstalled. Wheel bearings make a grinding noise as they destroy themselves if in stalled wrong. Brake calipers and mounting brackets are bolted on and tightened to a specific torque. As long as the bolt holes are not hogged out there should be no movement. That levees the brake pads. I've had, on more that one occasion, brake pads that were a few thousands of an inch to small and would shift back an forth in the caliper making the noises you have described when changing direction.

Nice looking rims with out the door good price. I'll get a 2x4, measure it twice and still make tooth pics out of it. Some days it just better to stay in bed.

Be sure that the orange/black wire at pin #C2-11 on the PCM is not shorting to ground or the torque convertor clutch solenoid is hanging up. .

Take your time, have it checked out by someone that is well knowledgeable about that year and model truck. Just because a guy has tools and is breathing doesn't make him a mechanic much less qualified to inspect a diesel truck . If you fined a truck and want to have it checked out don't fall for "Well I've got someone else coming over to look at it and he seemed pretty interested in buying it". If the seller is being honest then he won't care who looks it over. When towing a trailer over 2000lb a trailer brake controller is a must and make sure the trailer brakes are in good condition. You'll need to pull the drums for that and might as well repack the bearings while your in there. I had my trailer plug disconnect from the truck one time which disabled the trailer's electric brakes, I felt like Freddy Flintstone trying to stop all that weight.

My wife and I are still talking over Spring or Fall trip and it my come down to a leg wrestling contest. I've got to go to Wall Drug and ride that 'jackolope'.

My wife and I are planning our next trip and the Dakotas are going to be included . I want to go the first week of May and Jennifer wants to go the first week of September. We'll be on the road for three to four weeks going to other states. When's the best time to see those states, Spring or Fall? I do plan on seeing the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills. Before I went on vacation I bought a set of replacement hoses from RockAuto. They don't cost that much. My original hoses, had just over 94,000mi on them and still looked good so the new hoses went under the back seat. Ran the truck over 4,000mi and 110hr pulling an 8,000lb 5th wheel, hoses still look good and had the peace of mind that the hoses were there if I needed them. I also put a new Timbos APP under there but what I really needed under the seat was a VP44.

There are quite a few models of mirrors for sale at 1AAUTO. Which one did you get.

Is the clunk in the suspension when going over bumps or when steering right to left-left to right. I'm asking this because a clunk when steering can come from the steering column bushing being worn.
