The eraser wheel works with frictional heat. I did not use a heat gun but did find the side of the truck heated by the sun and a hair dryer helped it go faster on the stubborn spots. The heat softens the adhesive.

The left door rain gutter adhesive removed in 3 minutes and about 5 minutes to do that black decal. Took about 2 hours to do the rest of the truck with no damage to the paint. Directions say to slowly move the wheel over the surface with the drill motor on low speed so not to burn the paint. There are other brands that are cheaper.

I don't think you can get those connectors separately. You can make your own connection using insulated male and female spade connectors like I did below.

What year is your truck. Early 2ed gens may have a wire harness that looks like this at the alternator. Best to ohm test that wire to see if it is a ground or volt test if it power.

Electrical gremlins are very elusive but can be very damaging. I've only seen one once when I quickly opened a hood. It was there one second and gone the next; never there long enough to pin down or be photographed. A police sketch artist drew this from my description.
