  1. Ryan thats way too many miles on injectors. MoparMan gonna pass out when hears that! That's your problem for sure bud.
  2. Dripley, I'm so happy to finally get a rise out of you Bud cause I remember last Fourth of july, your rocket launcher was aimed at my house.
  3. Ryan, how many miles on those injectors?
  4. I plan on going at least 400 k. A few more questions: Are all the grounds and cables clean and tight? No hidden corrosion inside the battery cables? What about the important ground for the PDC? Its down low on the fender in front of the drivers battery. What level of A/C volts, noise are you seeing?
  5. Your Grampa is a smart guy. I'm not that good a shot, but IBMobile can hit a bottle cap at a hundred yards. Dripley, what is PETA ?
  6. I never seen anybody that happy about getting new tires. Congrats are in order
  7. Dripley I have not smoked for 14 months now. I quit smoking a 1,000 times. Finally my mid 60's they were really affecting my health and quit by telling myself just make yourself suffer and quit. I was sucking on short tree branches pretending to smoke to ease the pain. It helped some. The biggest gain is how I feel so good now.
  8. A college professor strongly insisted we all take vitamin C on a regular basis. He was so popular to all us students that I started looking him up after 46 yrs. I was in his class in 1970. It turns out he just retired in 2014 and then died 2 yrs later at 102 yrs old. He was a cool individual always positive. taught us to always find humor in life. I rode in his 68 Porsche back to the campus after an overnight astronomy field trip. I'll never forget him he was a good impression for all us freshman back then. I looked up at the heavens last night and thought about all those things he printed in my head 46 yrs ago. If only we could get Dripley (the big chicken) to quit smokin .... He needs vitamin C and a smoke switch.
  9. It is a sad state of affairs when good folks can no longer enjoy areas so beautiful so peaceful...... was always needed to refresh our hearts and minds. The ones that show no respect for Americas resources (fireworks tossed over a cliff in the Columbia River Gorge in century mark temperatures comes to mind) compounded by crowds, many of whom can be rude have caused this problem. Years ago I saw the writing on the wall about this sort of thing and bought what I could afford with privacy and seclusion. Only a 5 acre place, lots of trees, a nice plot, except the sounds of an ever expanding population are now beginning to violate what was once a very peaceful place. I can't blame the rich for doing what they are doing.... it is smart investment in the future. By the same token I am saddened that folks like you Mr. nelson are being excluded from such resources in America.
  10. I think it was back in the 50's or 60's that a plumber told me he was working with an excavator on a high school addition in Monterey. Lots of Spanish history in that area, when the excavator unearthed a large cache of spanish gold coins. He told me you could see them falling out of the bucket and scatter as the machine swung around to empty. Problem came when word spread fast about the treasure and kids and everybody went down to collect coins. When the police showed to stop the bonanza, they were also searching everyone to get the coins back. Some like the plumber got away with a couple of the coins hidden in his tool box. This was told to me at break time on a hotel we were framing in Monterey in 77 not too long after the treasure was uncovered anyway.
  11. 98whitelightnin is right. stick with what you know is right no guessing on a situation like yours. It ain't worth it.
  12. So your an excavator, gravel hauler and 2nd gen mover to get back home Nice way to get it done.
  13. I been lied to in situations like that..... so I ask is there anyway you can strike up a fair deal to get it running before you have to pay in full? Something like that anyway.... I wouldn't want to spend a bunch of time/ money on something I couldn't see hear running first. I've always wanted to find a good parts truck that is driveable.
  14. Wholey Cow! That ain't no trailer .....that's a heavy equipment hauler. Nice one! Hope you don't let out your address IBMobile probly come steal that..... he loves hauling heavy with his 47re
  15. Did you get the VP44 key way oriented the right way? The arrow has to point the right direction. How about injectors, did you snug in the high pressure lines prior to torquing down the injectors? How long was the fuel sitting in the tank unused? How dirty are you talking about? So is there any weeping fuel line fittings or connections? Any fuel pressure fluctuations when sputtering? Can you smell any fresh diesel under the hood?
  16. What all did you do to it when you say you got it all back together?
  17. I'm glad to say it works beautiful. It was a cold morning yesterday so I turned on the switch IBMobile and I installed, It activated the heavy duty relay ( I heard it activate) waited for the wait to start light to go out and started the truck. I worked really well as I watched the charging cycles (the volt gauge up and down) and after idling for a minute or so I switched it off. IBMobile, your the best and thank you again.
  18. IBMobile is always so helpful. buzzman, if you can please report back about how much your AC ripple drops after this mod. It is an important change from the factories peanut butter and jelly style wiring. I'm also interested in the other area of the harness that Dripley has reported a couple times that is again fused together with some sort semi soft glue instead of solder. According to Dripley it is in the harness near the ECM. Would be interesting to note what important functions those wires carry. Better to discuss under a new topic so it won't be confused with W-Ts mods.
  19. It's that way in Oregon too. You can't pump your own fuel unless if you have a commercial account at one of the commercial filling stations. They are often never crowded and It seems to be a little bit better fuel quality, at least psychologically so , but you have to buy at least a thousand gallons a year to keep the account open. I like em cause you never see folks with yellow mohawk hair driving a Prius.
  20. It is best to have the more reliable Timbo APPS. At less than half the cost, a fellow Cummins enthusiast developed it and is smoother and more consistent. He opened the factory APPS and showed pics of what cost 500 bucks at the dealer. It is cheaply built to say the least.
  21. With IBMobile following me to show him how to get to the highway he got out and beat me over the head at 180 degrees.
  22. Don't stay away.... it's 2nd generation Dodge Cummins testing grounds. If you make thru your truck is good to go
  23. The beermuda triangle.......
