They went out of business in January.

You might could find a used Pulse monitor somewhere. . . You don't need to upgrade your turbo. If you get some bigger injectors you'll need to upgrade, but with +40HP injectors and the Quad, your HX35 is fine.
  3. I'm just a dummy, and I was going to put it plain and simple - think about 1/2" lines vs stock plumbing on the low pressure fuel system? You can be running the same pump, but 1/2" lines increase the flow. (pressure) Same concept? :shrug:But War Eagle covered it in detail, since I couldn't.
  4. For a while it disappeared, along with several others on the "toolbar" I guess ya call it, but now they're all back.
  5. I've helped people move, and I found out I don't want to be the one moving. . . EVER!But it has to happen sometime. :rolleyes:How far are you moving?
  6. Good deal about the ECM! Cummins is usually cheaper than the dealer -- I've been there before, but didn't have all the serial numbers on the engine, so they kinda had to chase down my part. :duh:I know one thing - 9 times outta 10, finding a short is not fun. Good luck, sir!
  7. I haven't used it.I have a cheap scanner I got from Amazon.com for about 17 bucks - it hasn't let me down.Personally, if I was going to spend more than 100 bucks on a scanner, I'd get a scan gauge II.
  8. Hmm, well I'm gonna have to measure mine and see - I coulda swore they were all 10.5"x10.5".
  9. Sounds like an ECM issue, even before you had the Edge. Have you pulled the codes?Welcome to the forum, BTW.
  10. Thanks Mike, for asking me. I know it's not much information off the get-go, but I hope it gets the ball rolling.
  11. #1 - I'm not an expert, and don't really have any personnel experience on the subject. #2 - This info is probably not going to be dead on or 100% true, but that's kinda gonna be the point of this thread. I want opinions voiced, and I want to be corrected if I'm wrong. Some of this info is old news to some of you, but I hope it could help some newbs that are wanting to upgrade injectors and/or turbo(s). First I'm going to post roughly how much horsepower a specific size 7 hole injector will add: (I use 7 hole, because it is the most common injector in a 24 valve - 6, 7, and 8 hole can be used on a 24V) 7x.0071 = Stock HO 7x.0075 = Stock SO 7x.0079 = RV275 7x.008 = +60HP/+70HP 7x.009 = +100HP/+125HP 7x.010 = +150HP 7x.011 = +175HP 7x.012 = +200HP 7x.013 = +225HP 7x.014 = +250HP Keep in mind, a specific size doesn't mean it adds a specific horsepower; it just depends on the injector. Here's some links to some very good information on injectors and turbos: 1( http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-performance-parts-discussion/216421-injector-myth.html 2( http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-performance-parts-discussion/216850-all-injector-info-youll-ever-want.html 3( http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-performance-parts-discussion/219043-injectors-turbos.html 4( http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-performance-parts-discussion/585794-turbo-spec-compilation.html As the first link talks about, a 7x.010 injector will work fine with an HX35, as long as there's not a wire tap programmer being used. It will just be very smokey. As the last link states, with a 7x.010 injector, a 62/68/12 turbo would be a nice application. With a wire tap programmer, a 62/+71/14 turbo would be a better application. Like I said at the beginning, I'm definitely not an expert, and I'm still a newb myself, but I wanted to get the ball rolling, even if my information is not detailed, or if it has errors, (which I'm sure it does) that's kinda the point; I want to hear different opinions on different turbo/injector setups, and and what worked best for your truck, whether you daily drive, tow, or sled pull. Y'all just pile any injector/turbo questions and information in this thread. Somebody with some first hand experience chime in, and correct all my mistakes. Thanks to JohnFak for more info:
  12. Cooler air is better for power, but not for MPG. The intercooler is there for a reason - it does its job:
  13. I'm no expert, but I'd be looking into a 7x.012 injector instead of the 6x.012's, especially if you get a wire tap fueling box. If you don't wire tap, heck, I'd be looking at 7x.013's or 7x.014's. - - - Updated - - - Also, if you're dead set on using the 6x.012's, look into running a 62/71/14 single charger.
  14. My NAPA wanted $68, and I said eff that too!
  15. Thanks! A bungee cord would hold it better, and would make things quicker if I had to remove the BHAF. They're the same filter. Both are 10.5" x 10.5". For $46 (before shipping) you can get a NAPA 2790. It's outer diameter is 10.5", but it's almost 12" tall. http://www.fleetfilter.com/filter/wix-air-filters/42790.html Some say it's better, some say it lasts longer, but I'd rather save 12-13 dollars and use the 6637 - nothin' wrong with it, and it will last a long time. . . I don't see another 1.3 inches of filter giving you a whole lot more life out of the filter. . .
  16. I'm guessing it's powered when the key is on?I hate to say it, but you probably need to start it to see what she says. . .
  17. Which twin kit from DPS? Either way, you're gonna need a butt-ton more fuel.
  18. Maybe a set of 7x.009 injectors?HX35 = 56/60/12Super B = 57/65/14
  19. Thanks guys. Since y'all like it so much, you've motivated me to build another one, and I'll make it a little more beefy. (not sure when I'll get around to it) - - - Updated - - - Also, I figured I'd give y'all the price from FleetFilter: NAPA 6637 - $34.08 UPS ground - $9.44 Sales Tax - $3.59 ---------- $47.11
  20. It is aluminum, and it's really too light and flimsy, but it works. I used a side panel off of a 300 gallon tote, where they put labels on them; anyway, it's just a thin sheet of aluminum that broke off of our tote, so I cut a strip out and used it. I like a little acid on my steak.
  21. You mean the grease? It's there on purpose. It's a little flimsy, but not bad. It's just something I threw together this morning, so like you said, it works.
  22. Got my BHAF on, fellas: Here's the cheesy bracket I made for it: Please excuse the wire -- I will soon upgrade to a bungee cord. BTW, this is a 6637 filter. I ordered it from FleetFilter for $47, after shipping! They're located in Brenham, Texas, about 1 1/2 hours west of me, so the filter was here the day after I ordered it.
  23. That's how most people are running their Assassins - 1:1. I started out with a small pulley on the crank, and my idle pressure was too low, but I was using my stock return line at the time, and it was putting back pressure on the whole system, and my pressure would spike.I might just try swapping pulleys again. . .
