How's AD/Raptor Treating Folks on Warranty Now?
Do you still have an old carter pump laying around? I have 2 of them and when on the road carry one with me and the necessary lines to throw it back on the truck in the event of a failure. Not sure what to look for on the older ones, the way things have been going with all these probelms Ill most likely go a different route when the time comes for me.

Hey Rogan is ramhunter a member here? My truck is the same color as his and Ive got the same bushwacker flares, the bedliner at the bottom really pops the truck IMO. Looks good. What make and size tires does he run?

"built" 47RE woes
Like I said, the best chance of getting ahold of him is after 6pm. He rarely answers his phone so youll have to leave a voicemail if his mailbox isnt full lol. Ive been at his house and watch him clear his mailbox out and tried calling him the next day and his mailbox is full and wont accept any more messages. And if he doesnt call back within a day or two dont be shy to call him again. Its nothing personal hes just that busy. Too many irons in the fire but he refuses to get anybody to help him.Hes expecting your call just tell him your a friend of JR

01 6 spd Vs. 01 5spd
Not very well the slipping in the torque converter translates to less power to the ground and more fuel out the tail pipe. If it were a 5 sp or 6 sp auto the extra gears would make a substantial difference, but the 4 speed autos are at a disadvantage compared to the manual shifts. My auto was built by a man who specializes in transmissions for high horsepower pulling trucks and with the custom torque converters he builds its good enough I can live with it. When the trans went in my 2000 I was looking hard into buying a 4500 to replace it. But after riding in a few trucks he had built and talking to him on prices going with a rebuild was the way to go for me. Everyone who rides in my truck is quite impressed Ive actually sent 4 people to Dean for trans work, and all but one didnt even need it.

PO122 code
0122 apps sensor voltage too low. You could try to do the apps reset to see if it helps out it doesnt take very long. When my apps went out it hicupped on me once I actually thought it was a fluke as it didnt do it again even though it tripped a code. I drove 1000 miles that weekend, got home and parked the truck for the night. Went out the next morning to unhook the trailer and when I went to pull out the truck fell flat on its face. Ive carried a spare ever since when I go out on the road.

How Many Are Running The Fluid Damper?
Thats where Im at with em. Everybody that runs a FD speaks the world about them so they must be pretty good, but Im also taking into consideration the damper they replaced was most likely worn out which would make the FD feel that much better. My oem has lasted going on 15 years now, thats not half bad either.

47re questions
If your not certain of the vehicles prior service it would probably be a good idea to change the trans fluid/filter and adjust the bands while your in there. At approximately 50 mph, my truck will shift into OD and rpms drop to around 1500 to 1600 rpm. Typically with a load similar to what youve listed, I will tow in OD as long asr Im running over 55 mph. Anything below 55 or in hilly terrain Ill generally drop out of OD to get the truck back up into the torque curve. Running slightly higher rpms is actually putting less of a load on the engine and egt's and fuel consumption will both drop.P.S. welcome to the site when. You get a minute fill out your sig the best you can so everybody can help you out a little easier

I would have to agree with you about the lack of a true crew cab...if one existed in the 2nd gen bodies I would probably keep my truck indefinitely. My hand is being forced within the next year or two to get something with a full back seat. We do too much traveling in the summer to not have one and before long my boys will have outgrown the back seat of my truck. Doesnt mean my 2nd gen will be going anywhere though- WASHERS
Looking closer at these injectors, the last 2 part numbers stamped have a line through them and have different numbers stamped below. So the original number stamped is 0432193646 and the 46 has a small line through it and below the 46 is stamped 35. 0432193635 is the Bosch number, but why would the 46 be crossed out?- For ISX and the 12V crowd...
When looking at all the new technology and gadgets on the new trucks, the 2nd gens remind me of a bottle of wine. Just keeps getting better with age- WASHERS
Ok my injectors arrived today, the guy sent all the washers and the big injector o rings ( not for the tubes). I definitely plan on getting new copper washers, thats a definite. But the injector o rings look brand new still, nice and pliable. These were new injectors and the orings are also new. Theyve got about 5k miles on them, whats your thoughts on re using those? I dont really see an issue with that but what do you guys think? I have a hard time understanding why theyre over 5 bucks a piece- How's AD/Raptor Treating Folks on Warranty Now?
Yeah I gotta admit this is kinda scarin me, Ive only got around 10 to 12k miles on mine....- "built" 47RE woes
I will most definitely get ahold of him. Ive never priced a manual valvebody, not sure what goes into them maybe thats the normal price Im not sure. Seems like mine was around 300 bucks? Give or take when Dean built my trans its been a few years now. So did they say why a manual valvebody will correct your problems vs a normal one?- "built" 47RE woes
Boy do I feel like a goon.... My apologies for not following through. I got stuck on a nightshift for longer than I expected working 14hr to 16 hr shifts and this completely skipped my mind. Do you still want to talk to Dean? Whats the theory with going to a manual valvebody and why so much $$$$?- How's AD/Raptor Treating Folks on Warranty Now?
It takes alot of nerve to hang up on a customer. Which Raptor do you have? Is it the direct replacement?- 2013 Ford diesel accidentally put gas instead of diesel......
Do the new Ford 6.7s run the same high pressure oil pumps to pop the injectors like the 6.o engine? I know a guy whose wife filled his truck (6.0) with gas and then ran it. Wiped out all the injectors and the pump. But didnt hurt the engine at all. Aside from draining the tank and changing filters I would break the fuel lines loose as close to the injectors as possible to get as much out of the system as possible to prevent further damage. Unfortunately if his dealership has caught wind of this he can kiss his warranty goodbye they will probably walk away from him at this point. Good luck keep us posted- Vacuum Advise
Weve had a Kirby going on 7 years now. Free annual service and cleaning for the life of the vacuum, we take it in and they completely disassemble it, clean it and give it a thorough inspection. If they find anything wrong, they fix it free of charge. So far weve had no issues and it is an awesome vacuum. My mother has had her kirby going on 15 years now, and my grandmothers is even older. Theyre expensive, but it will be the last vacuum you ever buy.- How Many Are Running The Fluid Damper?
The 6.7 dampers are not compatible with the 24v trucks are they? I can see one coming up in the next year or so for my truck, would be nice to buy a fluid damper but for the money Im wondering how much better they truly are compared to bolting a new oem damper on.- WASHERS
Thanks thats exactly what Im looking for. Picked up a set of injectors with 5000 miles on them and just need the hardware to install. Thanks again. I will try to do a little research on the o rings, as it is right now I cant afford to tear the truck down and leave it set for a few days so if I cant find some info Ill have to order the set I need. Thanks for the offer Ill keep in touch : - For ISX and the 12V crowd...
