ExxonMobil has announced that NASCAR began this month using Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy and Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 engine oil in its 65-truck fleet as part of the sport’s Race to Green initiative. Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 14 Mobil 1 and Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet SS, introduced the the new oils by ceremoniously topping off his a 2014 Chevrolet SS with Mobil 1 on April 4, prior to the start of the Duck Commander 500 Sprint Cup Series race that weekend. Michael Lynch, VP of Green Innovation for NASCAR, joined Stewart in topping off one of the NASCAR hauler trucks with Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30.

I purchased these intercooler boots (VPMAX 94-02 Intercooler Boot Kit) after discovering the fender lip had cut into the boots on the both sides at the intercooler, it happens! http://www.vulcanperformance.com/VPMAX-Intercooler-Boot-Kit-p/icb2.htm They look really good. I'm having a bit of a battle getting the passenger side installed. The whole assembly, when all the way seated, appears to be too long by about 1". I'm attaching a few pix of where I am with it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

98.5 3500 4x4 auto stock 113,00mi Dealer recall at 12k mi to reprogram for nox emmisions ( recall no 8001 ) cut fuel mi to 5 loaded 12 empty and easy. after 2 reflash dodge said thats normal. To shorten a very long story with the great help of Bluechip diesel and the jumper wire trick they and i don't think its the vp44. Followed there detailed and very helpful diagnostic section plus some others. Problems started with oil press gauge showing 60 with out engine running. Changed it, same thing. The sage of the leaking cooler lines continues. In Dec 2014 replaced the hard line from the cooler to the transmission, it started leaking. Thought it was the rubber hose with the PITA connector. Bought a replacement from NAPA, it leaked worse than when I started. Took it back apart and found it cracked by the ferrule in the hard line. NAPA replaced it under warranty. Now the line from the front cooler to the block mounted cooler is split. The replacement line is 95.00 NAPA/ 67.00 AMAZON. Just frustrated. Anyone changed out all the line for something different?

Hey guys, I've been fighting a heavy bucking and surging issue for some time now. My truck is essentially undriveable, and Id appreciate any insight on where to go from here. Symptoms: Ranging from light to heavy throttle input as long as the engine is under some load, it will develop a violent surge at about 35mph plus. It surges and bucks very badly and on my test drives within a couple miles of my house, its all I can do to nurse it home. It sounds like the footage youve seen of a WWII fighter getting shot down, when it starts to sputter before it catches fire. Today, after FLUSHINg P/S System, i Pulled of my 4-yr old BHAF Air Filter to replace with new, When i pulled Boot off of turbo, there it was,, the Compressor wheel blades were Damaged, "Not wiped out" but few of the edges of blades are frayed up pretty good, but there's no excessive play in the shaft and the blades hasn't been rubbing the housing.... im trying to post pictures

For my truck in the signature. No codes. Batteries clean. 13.8 to 13.9 volts. Tranny flush 20k ago. Fluid is red and no burnt smell to it. We used the truck to flatbed my sons' 06 Dodge home the other day. The trans temp light came on as he was coming up our hill. Now for the symptom: in 3rd gear it sometimes will not kick into 3rd gear. It will shift from 1st to 2nd. Tranny works in R, 1, and 2 positions. Any suggestions?

Crusing at 1800 rpm, the tach needle is bouncing/ jumping up to 2000 rpm. And when this happens the truck seems to be bucking and jerking slightly. Any ideas??

So, I've been doing bolt-ons to the motor (62mm turbo, 125 hp injectors, S&B intake, BD intake elbow, 5-inch straight pipe exhaust, and V2 tuning). I have yet to touch the transmission besides regular maintenance. Every time I step on it, I get a little nervous that I'm going to break something. The 47RE definitely doesn't like the new upgrades.... it slips quite a bit when WOT. The guy I bought it off of said it was rebuilt 30k miles ago. I dropped the pan last week and the fluid is super clean and the filter doesn't have any crazy amount of metal shavings. Before I go through this newer rebuild I want to beef it up. I just purchased my first diesel truck from Nampa Idaho. It is a 2001 Quad Cab Dually 5 speed with only 65K on the clock. Got it from the original owner. The only mods he did to the truck was to put a 98 gallon aux tank and some Dr. Performance injectors and a jake brake. I have been reading about lift pumps and I am a bit confused. My friend who know a little about diesels showed me the lift pump on the dirvers side of the block. But I keep reading about a pump in the gas tank. I want to protect my VP44 and make it last as long as I can by upgrading the lift pump. The Blue Chip bolt on looks like a good option, but do I have to tear into the gas tank sender and cut up a …

I have a 02 Cummins H.O. 6 speed. I have the BHAF mod, 4'' exhaust, and I have the BD boost elbow ( not installed yet) and I'm looking at getting a tuner. My main concern is which style to go with. I could get a Edge EZ or Quadzilla XZT style that doesn't do anything to the programming of the ecm or I could get a Superchips or Hypertech that only changes the programing of the ecm. The main thing I don't like about the Superchips style is that you can't change tune while driving, but I do like that I can put a boost fooler on it and get a little more power. Which style does anyone recommend? Pros-cons. Thanks

What would be the next step up for a turbo with out spending a bunch of crazy money on one? I have the HX35, which I believe its the stock turbo. Would like something that maybe spools a little faster also. I have RV 275s and an Edge EZ. Going up a grade and getting into the throttle I can see 1100 on my EGTs, and that's with nothing behind it. I have a 1800 lb trailer that I occasionally pull and it got to 1150, and held there for a second or two but that's it. I figured it was time for a little better turbo with the upgrades, especially if ever pull anything heavier. I'm not looking for a powerhouse turbo, just a little cooler EGTs. Well. I went to pass a Sunday driver going up a hill. Doing 50 in a 65 .. i passed him up got on the throttle a bit a she just kept taking off until I was able to slam the throttle few times.... it could have been real ugly because I came real close to rear ending few cars and it's raining. I did notice today the Trans searching for overdrive or whatever gear... just jumping in and out . Also my data console up above the rear view said CCD.. last week I reset the APPS wich helped my shifts a lot smoother and made a huge driveability difference. .. i need help on this fellas. I have a 2001 ram 24v Cummins. 1 wire oil pressure switch/sening unit? The one wire to unit was unplugged by previous owner where does it plug into? Connector is on unit but single brown wire was tied around brake wires trying to get guage to work.

If the vp is not tapped and just running say a Edge EZ or comp will it make the vp run hotter. Reason I ask is it is so dang hot down here I dont wont to stress my Bulechip lined with gold vp:lmao2: anymore than I have to.

Hello All, So I am in the market for a truck. I owned a 2002 6 speed a few years ago. I'm looking to get something similar. I would like to get newer but I am limited on budget. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on how heavy a camper a 2002 4x4 6 speed could comfortably pull. I guess I'm looking for a general rule of thumb- If I get a camper that is over 10,000#, do I need a dully? If I stay between 8 and 10,000# can I safely pull and stop without adding brake controllers and the lot. I recently moved and with that took my trip to work from +/-15min to +/-5min to work. Even with the 15 minute drive, I would just be pulling into the parking lot at work and the temp gauge would just be getting into the normal op temps, if that. Now with my drive so short, it's practically impossible to get everything warmed up before I get to work. So other then the obvious, just drive around until its warmer then go to work, are there other viable options to get the truck warmed up as to not be shutting down a cold engine?

I’ve been having some minor OD/lockup quirks start showing up lately so figured I would start with an AC test. With truck at idle and minimal electrical load I got 0.053v between battery ground and alternator charge post. Then I decided to turn as much stuff in as I could (max a/c, high beam lights, mirror heaters, etc...) on the test also at idle speed I got 0.1xx volts with constant up and down fluctuation. So safe to assume that I have diode problems in my alternator likely causing my OD/lockup problems??? To all; I have been having trouble with my 2000 2nd Gen, The truck was shifting strangely, I was getting what I thought was "dead pedal". I perused the board for answers to others questions/posts.
