My truck has had dead pedal since i put it back together after putting new hot rod pump and timbo tps. It threw a p0500 code the other night and i was wanting to reset tps and my parking brake cable broke a few years ago and i never fixed it, so i put a new switch on and still no light. I think it works off ground and when u ground it i should turn light on correct? I had a problem with tach not working awhile back and had cluster worked on and now my high beam light does work all time now. Im wondering if my cluster is messed up and i guess u have to have parking brake light on to reset tps? And if i replace cluster with one out of yard my truck …

Hi, trying to finish up my gauge install, wondering where you guys tap into dimmable power for your lights?

Just curious (because I forgot to look) are the reverse lights also wired through the factory 7 blade socket on the truck? Truck is an '01.

My steering wheel has a squeaking noise coming from inside behind the horn. What could it be? And if I have to pull the wheel, what about the airbag? This is not a small squeak, you can feel it also.

Welcome to my frankentruck problems, and id like to say this is a great site, ive used a couple wiring diagrams during this build so far from here! So I bought this truck a few years ago, the headlights have always sucked, but I can get by that for now until this project is done and a bit more money is in my pockets for an upgrade in the sight division. The big thing that annoys me about these headlights, is the damn high beam indicator stays on at ALL TIMES! Whether in low or high, flash-to-pass, it stays on, only time its off is when the headlights are in DRL Now heres the kicker, its a sport truck originally, with the quad headlights, but somewhere…

I just put new rotors, calipers, pads on all 4 corners of my truck. The pedal feels hard after maybe an inch of travel. It used to feel alot smoother and soft (not mushy) is this normal? Yes I got all the air out of my brake lines. Could this be a hydroboost related?

So I'm replacing the front fenders on my 01 Ram 2500 quad cab, I know there a huge pain to replace. My question is I'm wondering which would be better if I re-welded the new fenders in or just secured them with nuts and bolts? Let me know what you guys think or if anyone has done this.

Hey guys so I had my truck in for an alignment this morning and I just replace passenger upper/lower ball joints and all of my tie rod ends on the weekend. The alignment tech informed me he wouldn’t be able to do my truck due to a negative camber on both front wheels. Everything else in front end is tight and doesn’t need replaced. I’m trying to figure out what the root of this issue could be. Truck has a 2.5” level kit and I have 18x9 -18 rims with 295/70r18 tires. The tech stated it could be the aftermarket rims but also stated I could have a slightly bent axle tube. About 3 weeks ago I ditched my truck at about 40km/h and the impact was passenger side. After replacing …

Hey guys! I’m curious why my wait to start light is coming on with each turn if the key after it has been warmed up and driven 6 miles to work?

I've been having trouble searching for threads on this site so I apologize if this has been covered! Found a set of 2011 wheels in excellent shape off of a 1 ton. I just want to be certain that they will fit and/or if they would need to be modified to fit! I have a Dana 80 rear with drums. Only info that I've found so far is that I would need different lug nuts. Could have sworn I have seen a member who has the same wheels on his rig! Thank You

  14. Last week my vacuum pump went out. I swapped it by separating the ps pump and vac pump in the truck and just pulling the vac pump out (probably a mistake in hindsight). Once I got things back together I had vacuum but now no power brakes (hard pedal) or steering. I had a spare (unused reman) ps pump so I swapped that and went through the procedure for purging air from the system but I still have zero power brakes or steering. I also flushed the old fluid by routing the return lines into a bucket and noted lots of flow so I know the pump is pumping. If I do the purge procedure slowly and at idle only nothing special happens but some combination of raising the engine rp…

Seems that over the last year or so my steering wheel has developed a popping/clicking inside the cab. I've read a few posts in the past where people said it could be the clock spring or the bushing but both seem to be hit and miss fixes. Just curious if there's anyone out there who's actually fixed the issue and what worked for you. Doeant matter which way you turn the wheel the problem still exists. The noise is definitely from the column and it sounds more like a bearing when it's gone out. Any advice is appreciated.

What am I looking for in checking my 5 volt bus for proper operation? Are we talking just a voltage test? Fuel gauge, coolant temp and transmission shifting have been odd.

  17. I can't figure out why all of a sudden my fuel guage would start reading higher than normal. It's a cross the range. Doesn't start coming down off full for a longer time. Reading about 1/4 tank and taking 32 gallons. I could understand a float becoming fuel logged and not reading as high as it used to. But all of a sudden it's reading higher. Battery still charging at a constant 14.4 volts. Same as always. Is there a tank access mod through the bed in my future?

Auto parts store I've done business with for 20 years doesn't carry AC Delco anymore. Napa is the only thing worth a damn around here now. Whats your thoughts on Napa ball joints?

  19. Says it all. It did it once a couple of years ago... then nothing. The only possible leak source is the clearance lights on the cab roof. I know NOT to climb on the cab roof, it'll oil can for sure. I could not reach standing on the door sill. I'm thinking of maybe a padded stepladder against the cab.???Russ

As you can see, the tube is recessed, I believe it was pushed back while it was in the shop getting the engine replaced... https://photos.app.goo.gl/xGfBWrPxEVdmixyd9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/KU7x3hpmXF5rNfCP9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/GXqZCPGzihAunuQW6
