2nd Generation Dodge Non-Powertrain

When rolling up my driver's side window, it'll start to chatter about half way up, or right when that leading corner hits the weatherstripping. Has anyone else experienced that? Do I get some silicone lubricant in there? Or replace the weatherstrip?

Figured as long as I am going to clean the bottom side of the engine looking for a leak, we should talk about cleaning/detailing the top of the engine and the rest of the engine bay as well. engine on or engine off while hosing and degreasing? cover electronics/alternator or don’t cover? (If cover what are you using?) BHAF of course should be covered or removed, but stock airbox? is there a good dry enough finishing product worth putting on? thats a good start, I would love to hear what everyone uses and their method. Obviously pictures are always a bonus.

I read somewhere that fuel pressure has to be 7-9 p.s.i. for the engine to start and higher pressures will cause a hard start condition. I also read the ECM controls this by rapid on/off pulses in the circuit to slow the lift pump pressure down for easy starts. After the engine is running the ECM knows to keep a steady voltage to power the lift pump or in our case, to trigger the relay used to power the lift pump off the battery. If this is true shouldn't we be changing the lift pump relays more often, often enough to keep the contacts in new condition? Well this morning it was pretty frozen i we iced the truck etc drove maybe 5 miles went to clean the screen using the washers but the wipers froze. now i only have wipers working on fast no intermittent and no washer/wipers when the washer button is pressed anyone had this issue? Is there a fuse for this part of the circuit?? Thanks

I thought I would share my experience with my driver's seat cushion and cover. I bought both of them from Genos. The cushion is their "high density" cushion and direct replacement cover. Both were super nice quality and replacement was super simple with their directions. 4 Phillips screws for the lever and plastic trim piece, 4 bolts for the seat cushion (10mm socket and combination wrench). Hog ring pliers would have been helpful, but 2 pairs of needle nose pilliers and a pair of slip joint plies, a little bit of muscle, and done!! Last week i installed a reman steering gearbox from Napa. Put the new box on and installed a steering brace with it. Now I am having a issue truck feels real sloppy when Turing right but when Turing left everything feels tight and steering wheel will return to center when I let go but not when turning right.

My front axle is way off center as in at least 1.5 or more inches too the drivers side of he truck. I just replaced track bar a month ago and it wasn’t like that. How do I resented the axle? I’m planning to rebuild the entire front end with the axle swap that is coming soon. New everything. Tie rods, ends, sway bar, stabilizer, etc.

I have an 01 Dually club cab, bottoms of the doors are a little rotten. Found a 99 being parted out with perfect doors. #1 will they bolt up no issue? #2 they are manual windows and I have a power window truck. Can I move everything over to those doors?

So I been running 5" with a muffler and its sounding old. Back a few years ago I heard people talking about running Catalytic Converters that had a good sound to them. I just find it hard to put a cat on my truck. lol Anybody running them or is it bunk?

Hi All, Well is shouldn't be this hard, but it wants to be. Got up and headed for the airport at 3:30 A.M. Noticed the Truck reverse lights were on. Went back and got the keys and cycled the shifter. No difference. Got back this morning and replaced the Neutral safety switch and Reverse light switch. So reading the linkage adjustment page, I can see nothing wrong. The truck starts in Neutral and Park only. So why are the Back-up lights still on 24 / 7, with a new switch???? I metered the voltage it's a solid 12 volts. Any suggestions? Has anyone changed their instrument cluster over to LED bulbs? If so, how would you say you like it? where did you get the bulbs? Is it worth getting the ebay kits, or better to source on my own?

Now I've gone to the exterior lighting. The left bulb is a switchback bulb for the front marker / turn signal. It's a white light on parking lamps but amber on the turn signal. Then the bulb on the right is a standard red tail light blub. Both sets are above normal lumens. So my G100 ground was in very sorry shape. I believed it to be the problem causing a no start issue I have been experiencing. Unfortunately it wasnt the proble, but I thought Id share anyway. The picture shows how I set it up. The materials I used were a Blue Seas bus bar (2300, included cover not shown), tefzel wire from mil spec wire 16, 14, 12, ancor marine cable for the 6ga ground cables, 3M High temp butt and ring connectors, and DSG heat shrink, tesa tape. I have read a few time in other places that you need to grind a flat spot on your gear box shaft and that the original flat spot is not used.? Why and why? Got the old one pulled off last night and was looking at how I was gonna fa-naggle this thing in there, but grinding a new spot on top of that - ge wizz...

Since I was waiting for my tuner to come back, I decided to tackle another issue that's bugged me: the hvac system. I about froze my toes off on the way back from North Dakota a few weeks ago, as I had no floor heat or defrost. Only worked on max a/c. I decided to pull the box and open it up. I wasn't paying attention when I split the case, and the top half came off suddenly, causing the bottom to fall and break the little door with the spring flap on it.
