My drivers seat cushion is starting to crush on the outside edge. Having no running boards takes it toll. Does anyone know of a supplier that makes these.I haven't checked with Dodge yet. I thought I would see if someone else makes them as Dodge is not known for having reasonable prices.

There is a Tech Service Bulletin TBS 05-04-98 easily found once I saw a forum about it and wanted to share it here. http://dodgeram. info/tsb/1998/05-04-98.htm Essentially it proportions the fluid pressure based on height/ load. Not the perfect scenario. So the Rod was Rotted off this valve when I got the Truck. Here is the info I found and I am going to Eliminate it because I wil not load anything extreme or do any road racing..... Here are the important snipits from the TBS I hope this corrects the link there was a space in the address http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/05-04-98.htm

My owners manual states that you should not jack up the vehicle by the rear axle. Any suggestions? I need to adjust my parking brake. Seems like when I get my tires rotated that they jack by the differential casting. Jack stands under spring perches?

I'm curious as to where you can get the overload springs cushions for my 3500. My dually seems to be missing them. Everytime I hit a bump you can hear the overload springs slap the stops, as it is metal to metal. From the Galaxy S3

My truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins Diesel, 4x4.I am having an issue with truck wanting to steer to the right. Replaced all the front end components (Big $$$) and then had the front-end aligned at a local shop. The tech there told me everything was perfect in the front end, however the rear axle is 1/4" front-to-rear out of alignment and that he is not allowed to do anything to the rear axle because its non-adjustable. He asked me if the truck had been in a wreck (no), and if I had done much pulling (yes). I have pulled sevral trailers cross country with this truck. So I drove the truck home, looked at it real good, I can't see anything wrong or broken. Is it possib…

I'm bound and determined to go LED. I can get the LED bulbs but many people highly recommended projector headlight housings. This is where I'm falling short. I don't know much about them and whether or not I can get a housing that will allow me to accommodate for them. My truck currently uses a 9004 bulb so that would be the plug I would want to shoot for. I guess it really would not matter? Looks like the harness for the bulbs don't have much of any kind of specific plug for them. I think the bigger issue is the bulb style mounting in the housing. Another thing that gets me is that it appears the projector housings use a separate bulb for low and high. I can …

I have purchased the high idle switch and it is due to deliver today. I have also rented a Smarty from DAP to activate the 3 cylinder high idle mode. Just looking for a few pointers on the install. I have read the install article: High Idle Install I know to unhook my batteries prior to install and take my time to ensure I don't bump any other wires that might cause issues down the road. The switch install seems pretty straight forward. My main questions are with the Smarty. What is the process for enabling high idle? Plug in Smarty. Does key need to be on? After plugging in the Smarty I'm lost. Thanks in advance for helping o…

Am tired.... and its getting worse and worse of fiddling with the damm plastic lenses on the headlights on my 2002 2500 truck. Clean them off and they look great and I can actually see at night, then another 2-3 months later and the damm plastic gets hazy again and its time to do it over again. Was chatting with a guy on CL and he mentioned upgrading the truck to something like the 2005 style of headlights and be done with these older headlights. Anyone else do anything like this? Thx, FT

Dana 60 4x4...Moog problem solvers or oem Danas? The Danas are a little cheaper for one side, about $70 and Moogs are about $90. Any input as far as quality or longevity? Because this is lengthy and annoying job, I don't want to replace them again anytime soon. Thanks

Mot was due last october but seeing as weather can be grim around that time of year I decided to sorn it ( statutory off road notification) which notifies Gov, and police its off the road so you don't have to tax or mot it. This has given me the chance to do some jobs on it. 1. Fit front seats out of my other truck as seatbelt warning won't pass mot check 2. New reverse/neutral switch as reverse lights not working 3. New LED strip reverse lights 4. New fog light on rear with new switch/wiring in cab 5. Alternator wiring mod with 150 amp resettable fuse 6. New battery terminals 7. New front flexi brake lines 8. 3 New front brake hard…

I have the 2001 FSM but there are a few differences between my 1999 and what is listed in the book. I am trying to get my rotor off but I can't tell if the axle nut keeps this thing on or not. To get the rotor off, do I remove the axle nut? Looking at what I have that appears to be the answer, but I would rather not remove it if I don't have to.

I didn't know where else to put this so, this is as close as i get it to the topic. I was reading through the code list thread and for testing it says "With DRBIII Scan Tool". How do i get my hands on such an expensive tool like that when they are priced over what i can afford? Are there other scan tools like this one that maybe Snap-On, Matco, or Mac Tools has?I'd really like to get my hands on one of these and have been wanting one for a while now. Thanks,Dave

Well I haven't posted here in a while, mostly because I was super busy and hadn't had time to play with the truck. But I did put some used 19.5's on it a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't find many pictures of these on 2nd gens so I thought I post a couple here. I have to say that I have vibration and the centramatics didn't help that at all. So I'm thinking either the tires are worn unevenly, or I have other issues I'm not aware of. Going to start working on that soon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photos. The top is the "before" with 4th gen 17" 235/80, and the bottom is "after" with the 245/70/19.5.

I think I've got some electrical issues. My main problem is the apps. It probably needs to be replaced..but I'm trying to properly diagnose it, or if it's something bigger. Back story. The truck at all speeds has what I think is "dead pedal". 47re. When I'm taking off, the truck seems to go, then cut, then go..like it's not certain where the pedal is, even though I haven't moved my foot. The biggest problem for me is highway driving. I can't maintain speed with cruise control. If I reset the apps by unplug, key on reset, it'll work for a while, then fall off. If I set cruise control, at say, 65mph..rather than keeping a steady engine load of say,…

Hey all, Now that I have all new/reman power steering system components, I'm wondering if I would benefit from throwing in an inline filter? I've heard of the Magnafine before. Are they good? What are you guys using if you have PS fluid filter and where should I place it?
