Only because I'm adding HIds to my current ones. I went the lower budget sets from Amazon as I can't afford the big ones right now. I'm going to need a new VP44 soon and also a set of tires. After reading some of the posts here, I decided too go with the H1 35 watt version and got a relay. I also got a pair of 9004 headlight extensions so I can tap off my light circuit for the relay and magnet for the high beams. Anyway, I plan to put my old lights back in so I can take my time getting the projectors fitted and adjusted properly. I decided to try to clean the lenses before putting them back in and got the turtle wax restorat…

I want to get a snow plow for my truck (came with plow package). My truck is L-O-N-G so not ideal but I own it. I have a couple of long runs so need full angle. How big a blade to I really need to push the snow outside the wheel track? Contrary to commercial plowing where a wider cut is time & time is money... in tight quarters a smaller blade has advantages. I'd like a poly plow to get the no rust (at least on that part) and lighter weight but cost is a big factor too. I'd need a spare set of rims & serious winter tires...

I was wondering if anyone out there knows if the 8 lug wheel dodge uses is the same as chevy and ford. I found a nice set of ford superduty wheels and tires for sale for pretty cheap and would like to get them. UNLESS they dont fit.

Seems that over the last year or so my steering wheel has developed a popping/clicking inside the cab. I've read a few posts in the past where people said it could be the clock spring or the bushing but both seem to be hit and miss fixes. Just curious if there's anyone out there who's actually fixed the issue and what worked for you. Doeant matter which way you turn the wheel the problem still exists. The noise is definitely from the column and it sounds more like a bearing when it's gone out. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi all, So my the buckle on my driver's side seatbelt was flickering the light. If I pushed it in it would go off, for awhile, then it the light would eventually come back on. It got tot he point where the light would only go off if I pushed the seatbelt into the buckle, full-time. I purchased a new Mopar part from ebay, they are not cheap. Replaced it and it worked as expected. Them my truck sat for about 6 weeks. On the first trip out the overpriced new buckle started doing the same thing the old one was doing. The good news the part has a 2 year warrantee, and they sent me a replacement. The bad news, the…

2001 with CAD and vacuum actuator, has anyone replaced this with a factory or store part and what would you recommend? No, I don't want to the cable, just replace what's broken. Rock Auto has a standard motors unit,a dana unit where the part numbers don't match anything online...

Not sure if this will work or if anyone has tried this. I just finished with doing my front brakes and the parts guy commented of replacing the calipers. A mechanic said that if the calipers where working then no need to replace them, but I started looking on the internet. I noticed that the calipers for a Ram Van 2500 looks just like the calipers on the pickup except that it is two pistons instead of the pickups single piston. I have been looking in to doing a free spin hub conversion and one of the comments that I have read is that the Ford has better brakes because of the two piston calipers. So what I am wondering is if anyone has tried the van calipers on the pi…

Got the 2" leveling kit for $90 used and the air bags for $150 used. Got it all on last weekend. With 20psi in the bags empty it rides way smoother than before. It's not sitting too high for the 265s in my opinion.

Because I live in a state that we don't do smog checks.I have decided to run two cycle oil in my gasser. If nothing else it will lube the injectors, and the valve stems on the intake for sure, and maybee some around the exhaust. It will lube the upper rings in the engine for sure, and I don't know about the injection system but I am sure there will be something that gets lubed in there. So that is my opinion. As for now i am doing 1/2 ounce per gallon. Don't whine and say I'm wasting my money, or I will tell you don't leave tips when you go out to eat.So far it seems to quieten the engine down some, maybee my imagination. Time will tell about this adventure. I do know it ne…

Hi Everyone, My cab, fenders & interior are ratty & rusted. I've found a donor truck & i'm about to attempt a cab swap from an '01 1500 gasser, auto, extended cab Laramie to a '99 3500 diesel, 5speed, Reg. cab, base model. I have the shop manual in pdf for the '99 and I've done a lot of research already. I'm going to try and document the swap here if there seems to be any interest and I'm sure I'll have many questions for you guys along the way. Wish me luck ... I'll need it. Points I've thought of: cab mounts, clutch/brake pedal mount, gauge cluster, among others. Any heads up on things I might not have thought of yet would be appreciated. First Ques…

My steering box has a huge amount of play and was looking maybe to get a newer box from the wreckers if they are compatible? Anyone know if Gen 3 or newer are interchangeable? Is a 1500 or 2500 gas Ram the same steering box? Thanks Rick

Can someone please post a picture of a Mopar winter front on your second. I do not wish to see the home made or genos winter fronts. Really want to see what the OEM ones look like installed and can’t find a picture anywhere

Seeing as how the entire internet can't figure out how to use paintbrush, I took up the challenge and finally made everyone a vacuum diagram. Let me know what you think. http://www.mopar1973man.com//isx97/Charts/Vacuum%20Lines.jpg

I think I am having a air flow problem through my condenser at idle. Running down the road I have 40* center vent temps at 95 ambient. Creeps up when I hit a stop. Fan clutch seems to be moving lots of air in the shroud but I do not have baffles between rad and intercooler or intercooler and condenser. It had a AFE intercooler when I bought it, stock baffles gone. Anybody have any baffle suggestions? Thanks

I know I know, I have alot of posts on different subjects but I want to get everything lined out of this truck. I still haven't messed with the oil pan gasket and I need a front timing cover and tappet cover gasket aswell. I am curious of how to wire up a relay for the headlights on my 1998 dodge. Its not a sport model it originally had the 9004 lights in it but recently got some aftermarket cleared lens with projector. It has a dual beam setup but still uses the 9004 plug. Works great! I am gunna do the high low mod and have both on at once by using the wire splice under the steering wheel and want to take load of switch aswell so I want to add a relay to driver and pass…
