SO i found a 12valve long box 5 speed 4x4. it's not in horrible shape. but it also has 306K on it. trans looks new. P pump is new, new injectors. could use some control arm bushing, steering will move from 10-2 and still go in a straight line. no major oil leaks. no blow by that i could tell. shifted amazing compared to my G56. has no rust, rear air bags. AC works. forgot to check heat as it was only 88 outside. this is a joy ride truck, toy. wood cutting truck. he's asking 8K i offered 5 and he said no. so... how much would someone say it's worth. ball park. it''s my second unicorn truck, 12V 5 speed long box 4x4. thoughts.

Hello Guys, This is my first time posting but Ive been a long time lurker. Im about to drop a 24 valve vp44 engine into my 2007 F550 superduty I'll probably start pulling the engines in Febuary. Ive already started to order parts for the swap but I would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction When It comes to the Tunner, turbo, injectors.... A little info on the chassis and what it will be doing...The Chassis is a 2007 F550 with a manual ZF-6 transmission 4x4. It is Roll-off truck that I haul dumpsters with and Ive hauled loads up to 10,000 - 12000lbs but the usual is around 8000lbs... Im loc…

  4. Hello I know it's been brought up countless times, but I have a few questions regardless. I'm looking to give my truck a little more pep in her step with either some 100hp or even 120s. I was set on 100s until I messaged Chris at Ducky about some new ones. He suggested 120hp VCOs. And he was the only one I've talked to that didn't suggest a SAC. So i might be leaning towards 120s now. So now on to the turbo. I'm looking for something that will spool quicker than my hx40 (and hopefully keep the EGTs a little lower) I was looking at a Super B but I think I might want something different. Any one have any suggestions on this matter with the supportin…

  5. I went to leave for work this morning and my batteries were low enough the truck would crank slowly but not enough to start. I got new batteries at work and put them in when I got home. My quadzilla is no longer working now. I checked the fuses and the connections and got nothing. I took it for a drive and can tell it's not doing anything.

It has been awhile since I posted about my cracked 55 block. I have that band-aided for now and it mostly holding up. I have however been experiencing some strange phenomenon with my fuel pressure. When It is cold outside <35F, my fuel pressure is around 15.5-16.5psi at idle and when I drive the truck a good ways, it will creep up to around 17-18 at idle which is fine. The other end of the spectrum is when it is warm outside. >75F, the fuel pressure will be around 18.5-20psi at idle but never really goes above that. I have the AD150 and full big line kit along with a needle valve. Sometimes the fuel pressure fluctuates a little but it is slow and the gauge do…

Given that we've now had two forum members recently get their rigs stolen () I figured I'd start a thread on any and all ideas for anti-theft devices, switches, alarms, gps things so maybe we can compile our ideas to keep our trucks safer from these damn thieves! What do ya got?!

Hi all, Just wanted to share my first experience towing with my cummins Being in the military, and not owning a travel trailer or anything, I don't get the chance to work my truck very often. I don't know exactly how much weight it was, and there was no scale nearby, but I know the tractor is between 3500-4000 lbs, not sure on the trailer. You more experienced guys would probably know better based on the pic. Anyway the tractor is a 47hp, 3 cyl, gas, Ford 3400 from the 60's i think? My Dad is gradually working his way into a small scale farming operation and was able to borrow the tractor from a friend to see how it worked to run his 6' brush hog. Our who…

I am trying to get my truck ready for a trip down to central Arizona in a few weeks and need to add some gauges, Just wondering about the reliability of them, the price fits my budget without breaking the bank http://www.vulcanperformance.com/ISSPRO-gauge-package-for-Dodge-Ram-94-07-p/isgk2.htm

  12. What is a good, economical means to return the fuel to the general tank versus returning directly to the basket? Can a guy splice a tee into the filler neck VENT? Should I obtain the Airdog/Fass style tee that goes in the ACTUAL filler neck hose? I'd prefer something where I don't have to drop the tank. I bought a 3-way ball valve so I can seasonally return to the basket in winter, or to the tank in the summer. It's ~75 degrees here this morning, and by the end of my 23 mile commute the fuel was over 120 degrees running empty at 65-70 mph for most of that time. Fuel gauge at 1/2, so probably around 10 gallons in the tank. Trip meter at 400 miles. Tw…

Well I finally got my Smarty S03 and installed the SW:5 software and HOLY **** the throttle response and bottom end power jumped up significantly!!! Huge difference and still drives very easy if you are putting around. I do have a couple questions for anyone that are familiar with these programmers. 1. I noticed that there is lots of smoke if you stab the throttle before the turbo lights off. Is this part of the programming and is there a way tor reduce this some? I realize that it's wasted fuel and I don't need to smoke an intersection just to I can get up to speed quickly. 2. I figured with about 60hp increase on the top end of the power curve it would raise …

  14. After mentioning last week that my truck leaks like a sieve, that bugged me all weekend to the point I want to get it handled before "someday", but have some questions. Is it worth the time and effort to change the pan gasket knowing full well that my front seal needs to be changed, too? While best to do both at the same time, I'm sure, I'm also willing to do the pan twice if dropping the pan isn't a massive endeavor. Is dropping the pan a big endeavor? I've dropped some pans in my day, even changed out all the bearings from the bottom before - but never on an engine so tight to the cross member. (think a gas big block in a 3-ton truck) Regardless of…

Hi guys I’m new here so not very good at navigating yet but I’ll get the hang of it! So basically I’m starting this topic becuase I’m looking for a for some input and opinions. So about 8 months ago I bought an 01 24v auto I am the second owner and previous was in his 80s and took very good care of the truck but it’s come time that I’d like to start making modifications. I’ve done a fair bit of research and have some ideas and some knowledge on what I drive but more opinions are always great. As of right now my truck is bone stock minus a 4” exhaust. I’d like to build something in the neighborhood of 350-400hp. I already have a fuel pressure gauge and have pyro, boost and…

I heard a ford the other day that had major whistle. I've taken out the silencer cone and running a BHAF. Without going to another turbo unit, what's the next step in creating more whistle?

I tow a 14k 5th wheel in the mountains and last weekend my stock clutch started to slip. The only "hp" related items on my truck is an aFe intake, 4" exhaust, and EZ so I should be around 300 hp at best. I called Southbend and Valair and their prices are considerable in difference which has me wondering what I'm overlooking. I know they're both very reputable clutches in these trucks so..... Valair's NMU70279-01-5SCE is rated for 400 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $650. Southbend's 13125-OKHD is rated for 425 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $850. I dont have plans for any HP add on's other than I "may" …

Thinking of installing the FASS tank Sump as I'm getting some minor fuel cavitation below half tanks of fuel. I hear fuel pressure drops are not as dramatic when hauling heavy up hills and the lift pumps running quieter. I already have all the fuel system mods except for the tank sump but I have one concern.... I read some discussion that it is illegal to draw fuel from the bottom of the tank in some states. Anyone know about this? Also wondering if anyone heard of leaks from any tank sump installs. Merry Christmas to everyone

So now that I have my fuel system upgraded, I am going to be putting in 75 hp nozzles. My injectors seem to be good, plenty of power, 22 mpg empty, so my question is can I send my injectors out and just have the nozzles replaced and them pop tested and adjusted? From the sounds of it, when people buy new injectors for their trucks they send in the old injectors for core deposit, so I am assuming that the old ones are rebuilt and sold to someone else. Some time this week I am hoping to get into town to a diesel shop to drop the injectors and tips off, so I guess that I am hoping that this will work and I can get a few more ponies out of the Ram. I am not sure how man…
