I dont like to wax and dont think those waxes mixed in with the wash are much good. I usually wash with dawn dish soap about once a year. Waxing a different matter. Paint still looks good imo. Question, these things getting up in years, when does paint start to come off. I sometimes see 85- 90's degrees for about 1 month max. No paint peeling and no rust at present time. How often do you wax the paint?

Hey guys I bought a used edge comp last week & got it on the truck filled up with fuel and started driving..... only been a little more than half throttle 4 times and so far im about 80 miles short on this half tank of fuel....Looking for opinions here bad fuel ( i fill up at the same station every 2 weeks and this is where i get the best milage from).... winter fuel .... I wouldnt think so but maybe.... still a month early for that here it usually happens mid october...or unhook the pump tap next tank and see whats going on there... No fuel in the oil im checking that every 3rd day at the fire house after it sits 8-9 hours I changed the oil 2 weeks ago with the s…

Have a question regarding my boost readings. I have a DPS 62/65/12 on the truck with 125 hp injectors. It should be boosting up to 45 psi. However, I am only seeing maybe 41 psi uphill with my foot on the floor. I've tried cleaning the MAP sensor out (there was lots of carbon in it), but it didn't get to the levels it should. I've adjusted the wastegate rod all the way closed in case the drive pressure was opening the flap, but that didn't help either. Anyone have any similar experiences or advice? Thanks

ok just got done installing a set from dap also adjusted the valves to a tight 10 and 20 and changed my oil and filter amsoil by the way truck feels real nice as far as the install went i got a lot of help from the forum and it really helped me out. the videos and all were great everything went very smooth the only other advise i would give anyone doing this job is to remove the hood latch man my belly is killing me with all that climbing up on top of that latch to reach the back of this giant motor:smart:

Since I got the trans out and transfer case I decided to change the fluid. I know we talked about it on here. It takes dexron 2-3 or atf+4 but there is just so many out there you can't tell what's good anymore. What you guys running or have you ran these and any problems thanks.

Hey guys, Well I went ahead and bought that used Edge EZ off Kijiji for $150. Put it on Friday night.. and I THINK it was working.. although there definitely wasn't a night and day difference. Ran fine yesterday the couple times I took the truck out.. then tonight, when I was driving my son to soccer, I was braking for a red light and the truck surged for a second on it's own. When the light turned green I went to accelerate and there was no throttle response at all.. it was just idling. I put it in neutral and it started to slowly idle up again on it's own - but still a dead pedal.. at about 2000rpm I put it back in drive.. and pulled off to the side of the roa…

This weekend i drove from LA to San Diego. Abot 135 miles one way. Before i left i filled up and reset my OHC mpg reader. When i got to my buddies place i was at 28.2. I avg about 60-65 mph. Before i went home we went to the drag strip in the mountains. About 20 miles of uphills. All together i put on 308 miles round trip. I used 1/4 of a tank. When i got back im at 27.1. Does this seem acurate?

Has anybody had issues adjusting the pressure on the airdog2/165, the instructions say 2 turns clockwise equals 15-16 psi, but my gauge says 26 psi. Trying to reduce pressure but if i go all the way counterclockwise on the airdog i only get 21 psi. Is the air dog wrong or the gauge?

I had my 2001 3500 with Edge comp box an Smarty S03 stack. Always had smarty on lvl9 an comp box on 5x5. Loved it! Truck loved it! Had to remove vp44 to do the tappet cover gasket an damaged the vp44 case installing it back in. Took the pump in to get it fixed an figured to get it rebuilt while its out. An now its tripped some timming code an killd my new vp44 on same settings i had for years before on old pump. Any ideas why this combo would do this to new/rebuilt vp44. The shop that rebuilt it fixed the pump again under warranty an had no answers for me why it would do that. Just scared to do that setup again an have to go thru all that work again pulling pump.

it is interesting to note that the FSM says to replace the whole starter, instead of servicing the wear parts. it worked with no problem...then one day....*click*click* i wondered if you could push start a diesel, but realized that i couldn't get that truck up to speed to even try:lmao: i will mention that while i was waiting for $ and shipping to my door, i took the contact that was the most wore, and made the hole for the stud longer to allow the contact to be closer to the plunger. worked no problems until i got the contacts(6 months later, i know im a procrastinator) (1) Disconnect and isolate negative cables of both batteries. So, I've been playing around with my quadzillas daily driving tune and I'm trying to get rid of the excessive smoke and heat. I'm currently running a set of DDP 100hp injectors( I know they are smokey and can run hot) and they are next on the list of items to fix( going to swap the nozzles and reset POP to 310) I think these injectors are popped at 280 from DDP which should retard the timing... correct?. But until i have time and money to do that, i need to try and adjust the tune. I'm also running a 60/67/12 HX35, BHAF, 4in exhaust. EGTs are about 800 cruising at 70mph, which seems high and it is still pretty smokey when pulling away from a light. Below is the tune …

Dodge says the first major overhaul is at 300,000 miles 350,000 for the newer commmon rails what does this mean I dont know of anyone on this site that has done this do you even need to do anything I plan to adjusting the valves, replace the oil and waterpump's and pulling the head to inspect for damage/wear what are your guys opinions? sorry if this is in the wrong place I didnt know where to go with it.

Hey guys. I got a 1999 24v 3500 with 5 speed w\ dual clutch. I have the banks power pack tlc. 4in. Exhaust, intake, turbo housing, banks Otto mind, gauges, bhaf, banks brake, etc. All have been installed since 2000. I would like to have selectable power levels. I like the edge comp module. Can I stack the edge with the Otto mind? I'm open to all suggestions. I'm also gonna upgrade the lift pump too. Looking at the fass adjustable lift pump . Do u guys think I should upgrade the lift pump first before I stack chips? Thanks in advance for all ur info.

So, I need a little help dialing this tune in, got new upgrades so now she needs to be fine tuned again. My mods are head studs, 100 hp injectors, 62/65/12 turbo, AFE intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, airdog 2 4g 200 gph ( paid like $100 for it so couldn't turn it down haha), 3rd gen stockers on 275/70r18s, and it's got a 3.55 rear gear. I'm getting a bucking/hopping feeling at cruise state and I've tried to tune it out but cannot for the life of me figure it out, any input is more than welcome.alsoi uploaded my current tune

I want to install a boost gauge on a stock truck. Wish to be able to know if I've got a boost leak and have a starting point for other mods. I have Isspro gauges currently and want to match. Looks like they are pretty cheap, so I want to install one. This will help to evaluate if I need new boost elbows, etc. My gut feeling is that my boost is not providing all it should. Seems easier to install a gauge than to build a boost testing unit. Although that would be cool too. Can't find that article or thread. Where does the boost gauge get tapped into the boost system for reading?
