The clutch is slipping so it's time to upgrade. It's so bad I hope I make it home. Which online store has good customer service and sells southbend clutches?

I'm stuck on a topic that I see a lot on 2nd gens, especially moving up in horsepower. Beef up the transmission, upgrade the tranny, etc. What is the most practical option to do this? I'm looking to get to the 500hp range. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Looking for ideas on building a leak tester for my turbo and associated piping. Thinking of a four inch PVC pipe, capped with a schrader valve and gauge in the cap. How do you attach the pipe to the turbo?

Truck: 2001 1 ton Quad Cab 4x4 6 speed HO 24v 5.9 VP44 140k miles So far the only mod is a Diamond Eye 4” stainless exhaust Philosophy of use: Truck is to be a safe and reliable daily driver. Truck will also be used to tow a small camper short and long distances. Reliability, fuel economy, and towing capability with low EGT’s are more important than a large dyno number. Goal: Reliable 24v in the 400-500hp range (Number is less important than a good running truck). Removal of the VP44 for a more reliable system. (non negotiable) Possible recipe: Fuel Boss lift pump VE Fuel Pump w/ dynamic timing …

I sprung a good leak in the hydro boost recently and going to do rebuild next week. Figured to redo the the brake and clutch pedal while I am at it since the clutch pedal is starting to squeak some. Anyone know where I can buy them?

Bought truck a couple of months back and am not happy with towing performance, so planning on upgrading injectors to add some more power. Might go 100 hp, just need to decide on type and size. Probably will need a tuner of some type too, leaning towards the Quadzilla Adrenaline. I believe the trans has been built, it does have a billet converter, but that is all I know about it. Might drop the pan and see if I can find out more about it. 47RE trans, shifts well, firm and no hunting, but just wondering if it is normal for rpms to drop back to 900 when coasting. 4.10 rear end, running 265/80/17 rubber.

Need some suggestions on what to do next to my truck. It’s just a fun daily driver nothing too crazy. Everything done to it is in my signature. The next things im doing are arp headstuds, new rims and tires ( 20” fuel cleavers with 305/50r20 nitto 420’s), electric fans and ac compressor delete. What else should I do ie springs, pushrods, water meth kit? I know nothing about what size springs would work for my set up so lay it on me! Thanks

I just got rid of my boost elbow and installed a manual boost controller recommended by @kzimmer. It's the best $5.46 I ever spent on this truck. Now when I mash down on the go peddle the boost gauge jumps to 26psi, trans shifts up and boost goes to 28psi. When it shifts to 4th, boost hits 30psi and speedo saying 80. No more boost bleed off. There is a lot more room on the adjustment for more boost so how much more boost can I dial in and still be safe?

I have had this programmer for some time and have been reluctant to install it, afraid I might end up damaging something. The truck had a Superchip programmer and I set it back to stock and have been running stock for a while. Towing my camper (9000#) or flatbed (8000# +) is the trucks purpose and I don't drive it like I stole it at all, and was looking at level 2 on the Edge. Any advise from anyone? I have gauges on the pillar for egt, cht, fuel pressure, and tranny temp. I do have plans at some point to have my tranny built up, replace the HY turbo, possibly replace the exhaust, and change injectors. I know many have the Smarty but I already hav…

Finally got around to redoing my A/C after sweating my butt off for a month. Replaced the Accumulator, Orface tube, and bought a clutched that worked from a buddy of mine, added refrigerant to it and the clutch isnt engaging when I turn on Max A/C and everything. My gauge is reading about 120 and according to my phone its about 82* right now. Anything helps, thanks!! Edit: I forgot to mention the 120psi is on the low side and yes I did evacuate the system for 45min.

Hey guys, just reaching out before I start spending some money. I have a 2nd gen dodge 5speed 3.73 gears with mild build. I recently bought a 37’ toy hauler that weighs close to 9,000lbs empty. I live in Colorado and when I tow this thing is usually over some pretty serious passes. As summer is here I’m struggling keeping my engine temps under control. I do have a high flow water pump, new oem replacement radiator and 190* thermostat. While pulling up RIO with my RZR in the trailer I got a little out of control on my temps. Probably 225*. My EGTs were getting a little hot at about 1250. My truck was getting hotter sooner with my antifreeze/water ration about 70/30. I took…
